No. They didn't make the Talokanil the bad guys. What scene in the movie even remotely suggests that the Talokanil are bad people?

If you think the Talokanil are the bad guys, why not think that the Wakandans are the bad guys too?

"They threatened people". So did the Wakandans... That's how they do it, in the first movie Okoye threatens Ross to pierce him with her spear if he ever touches T'Challa again. All the Wakandans do it, they threaten first and talk later, especially the Dora Milaje.

"They kidnapped Riri and Shuri". And the Wakandans kidnapped Riri. She wasn't allowed to leave and we don't know if she got to call her mother.

With or without the Talokanil informing them, the Wakandans would have destroyed the vibranium detecting machine and brought Riri to Wakanda to know more about the machine anyway.

If you don't think the Wakandans are the bad guys what is it about the Talokanil that makes you believe that because both Nations are very similar.

And I'm not saying that the Wakandan are bad people, I'm saying that none of them are. I'm saying that the people who feel that the Talokanil are the villains think so because of their own bias.

There are some people who watched the Falcon and the Winter soldier and thought Ayo was being painted in a bad light and was being mean to John Walker (but we know where that came from). It's the same here.

I don't know if it's because people are used to seeing stories about Heroes and Villains or something but stop trying to find Villains in every story. Sometimes there aren't any.

This was only a storyline between 2 Nations who had a conflict. It was Namor's fault that it all started, because he shouldn't have kidnapped Shuri in the 1st place but what happened after was a series of events that led to a conflict. The lady guard being killed by Nakia, Namor killing Queen Ramonda in retaliation and then Shuri attacking Talokan. It's a story. That's what happens in movies and TV shows. There doesn't always have to be a villain.

Ryan Coogler said Namor wasn't the villain, Tenoch Huerta said that as well... The very people who are involved in the project said so and you still want to insist

Is Namor perfect ? Not at all. Did he kidnap Shuri and Riri? Yes. Does that qualify him as a villain? I don't think so.
