Does he know me as a memory? Is she enough to forget me? It ain't my place to question if there's someone filling my space. Ain't my business tryna picture four-by-sixes with her in 'em. If she does things that I didn't, oh, wondering what the hell I'm wondering for. It ain't my place 'cause it ain't my place. Yeah, it ain't my place 'cause it ain't my place anymore.
My Place by Carly Pearce
Mangiata la mia zuppa di lenticchie.
E adesso…

MARCOS VIDAL FONT – BALEARIC APPROPRIATIONIST MAP (BAM)Tempo Arts launches its new ‘Your Place’ Commission!Marcos Vidal Font reminds us of our favourite holiday destinations that we might have taken for granted as he draws parallels between the current global pandemic which has severely impacted on the Balearic’s tourism economy and the global economic downturn a decade earlier.BAM is an online archive which combines maps, statistics and graphics with sometimes complex assortments of eclectic tourism logos as silkscreen prints which represent former business and leisure activities in ten areas of his home island of Mallorca and one in Menorca.Visit BAM at:
http://tempoarts.org.uk/marcos-vidal-font-bam/
• Click on the map to find silkscreen prints of logos of local businesses on the islands
• Click on the individual logos to find photographs or street locations of those businesses
• See if there are any bars, restaurants, garages or other businesses that you once knew or visited
• Discover what is at those locations now
• Let us know what you think!
Marcos Vidal Font lives and works in Sineu, Mallorca where he hosts international artists’ residencies at Espai San Marc. He exhibits extensively in Spain and internationally and participates in residencies, most recently at ZK/U Centrum für Kunst und Urbanistik in Berlin. An unorthodox sculptor inspired by a Dadaist practice, his work develops and materialises in a critical dialogue with objects, often furniture pieces. Working with wood, ceramics and found objects, he experiments with the location of his creations both in exhibition and public spaces, creating site- specific works.

Your Place’ is supported by public funding from Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Fund and East Sussex Arts Partnership.
