As for the b/w film depicted in this post I don't really need to tell you that it is a gem both visually and sound wise. You experience a doomed love story (where else but in Paris, the 'city of love' and loss I say) fine acting ( where you can see that Joanne actually was a better one than Paul) and amazing jazz performers (Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington) And some nostalgia for an era that doesn't exist anymore as well for the craft that's all but lost and forgotten.
