Why must I protect myself from the person that should be my protector? Why did this happen? Why must their be secrets and lies? The cracks race to the ceiling with each question. Silly girl. You must understand the answers you seek will not mend or heal. You will only have more why's and questions. Once you stop trying to answer a unsolvable riddle. You may find peace and comfort the scared child within. You must save yourself and release yourself from bondage. The glass house is falling do not deepen the wounds with shards of anger and doubt. Through the depths of despair you found hope. Traveled through the tunnel of darkness and found the light. Basking in the rays of happiness and wash away the shame and regret of yesterday. Today is more powerful than what tomorrow brings. What you do today will build your future. The foundation of trust and love will be your new security. If you would only let go of your burdens.
