reputation: as a support hero he has never really liked being in the limelight. heâs quiet and rarely takes fame for anything he ever does, simply happy to do what he can to help and give credit to those who want to take it. taichi would not be surprised if people donât even know who he is because of how little his name appears in public. and because he never really goes out in the first place and most of his work is done locked in his room in front of his tablet.
the quirk !
quirk name: illustrated reality
quirk description: the power to create objects and edit things in the real world from drawings
abilities:
able to summon objects into the real world from anything he draws. he can also alter the world around him through drawings such as adding or removing doors to walls previously without one or changing the colour of things, for example.
can use any medium he wishes to draw or even paint with, just so long as itâs done by his hand then it will work.
summoned objects will appear completely real and fully functioning and you will unable to tell the difference between them and non-drawn things. this also includes food and drink with correct flavours and textures. though objects will appear exactly as he has drawn them including colour and any other details he might have added to the drawing.
objects will usually appear right next to him if he doesnât specify a location, but he can pick and choose a location if he draws it into the image. this also includes directly drawing things onto other people such as changing their clothing.
is able to save previously drawn pictures and use them over and over again regardless of how long ago he had drawn it or how many times he had used it previously. it does not have to be a new drawing every time.
weaknesses:
must have access to something to draw with and canât just create things out of thin air. cut off from anything to draw with or with his hands incapacitated he is completely useless and vulnerable.
the drawings must have been created with his own hands and he canât use things drawn by other people.
it takes time to draw things, there is no way of speeding the process up so it can sometimes take hours or even days to draw one thing completely realistically.
his drawings must be realistic looking and fully detailed if he wants them to function like real their real life counterpart.
it doesnât work with living organisms like people and animals and it only works on inanimate objects and he also canât physically alter any living thing.
if editing something about the real world, the drawing has to be completely accurate to the location he wants to change. he has to be able to sit there and look at it for reference or have access to a reference picture to copy from.
spending long amounts of time drawing has taken quite a toll on his wrists and fingers and he can get very stiff joins making it hard to draw over long periods of time so needs a lot of breaks to avoid doing any serious damage to his own health.

matsuoka taichi came from an artistic family, so maybe he was always destined to have a quirk dedicated to art. he is one of six kids born in kyoto, japan. their mother a musician and their father a traditional dancer, though taichi himself never really took much of an interest in either of those things. of course, he was somewhat forced to learn but never really enjoyed it. instead, he always much preferred to sit in a quiet corner with a pencil and paper aimlessly doodling for hours at a time.
he was a quiet kid growing up and never really spoke much, though was always incredibly protective over his siblings. taichi was more than willing to take the fall for any of them and went out of his way to try and protect them like a good older brother. when one of his siblings were in trouble or if they were having trouble at school he was always one of the first to try and help out. family always came first in his life and nothing was ever going to change that. and no differences between them was ever going to change that fact that he was their big brother and was always going to be that.
for the longest of times it seemed as though taichi didnât have a quirk of his own. it was a little disappointing, but he never really minded that much and was still happy to support the siblings in his family who did. but, it turned out he did and just didnât know it until he was in his teens and finally took on a more realistic art style than his usual cartoonish one. he soon found out that drawing something realistically would allow it to manifest in the real world as well. and with more experimentation he found he could alter the real world as well with his art so long as it was realistic.
of course, he was thrilled. as was his parents, always joking that if he had never taken an interest in drawing he might never had found his quirk. and it was true, he had just gotten lucky in the end.
when it came to high school, taichi decided to try his luck at hero school on the support course, wanting to put his quirk to use and do some good in the world. and while his quirk wasnât as flashy and as cool as other peopleâs, his was rather useful and suited the support role perfectly. and it was during school he realized what he could really do with his drawing. he bought himself a proper tablet, making his drawing even easier and faster and started experimenting what what he could really do. he found he never had to buy anything, he could just draw whatever he wanted and it would appear for him. food, clothing, expensive things he could never usually afford, he could just draw it and there it was. and he certainly saw no problem in doing that, either and didnât see how it was the wrong thing to do.
eventually he graduated hero school and started life as a support sidekick. and it was alright, he supposed. he was helping do some good in the world and was always happy for the hero he was helping to take all of the credit. the limelight was never really his thing and he didnât really want any of the credit and fame which came with the job. he was only in it to help people.
then home life became a little difficult when one of his younger brotherâs, kenta, ended up getting suspended from school and he became the family disappointment. taichi decided to step up after that, taking extra care to look out for kenta and giving him support no matter what and becoming far more protective over him than usual. so, when kenta decided to move to south korea to start hero training there, taichi decided to go with him without hesitation.
it was not like he could protect him properly and look out for him from another country.
the personality !
taichi is a pretty quiet person by nature. he much prefers sticking to the shadows and letting other people take all the credit and fame for themselves. while he is capable of having a conversation and is actually a pretty funny and friendly person when he opens up to you, it is actually getting him to open up which can be the problem. but donât think that just because he can be quiet that he canât be aggressive when he wants to be. friends and family mean everything to him and he will do anything he has to to protect them and keep them from harm, even if that means sacrificing himself in their stead. he is simply a man who will not hesitate to jump into the line of fire to try and protect someone he loves and cares about. even people he doesnât know, going out of his way to protect and help the innocent â which is why he became a hero in the first place.
though he can look pretty innocent, he does have a bit of a chaotic streak and really doesnât see the issue in using his quirk to get what he wants for himself and others. when it comes to your birthday you can be assured you will get whatever you want regardless of price. buying anything isnât an issue for him any more as he can just draw what he wants into existence just for the price of the electricity bill. though he is aware this could make him a target for villains wanting to use that power for evil, so he is careful not to flaunt his quirk too much. just in case.

faceclaim: na jaeminÂ
name: choi haneul
hero name: cuboi
gender & pronouns: male ( he/him )
age: nineteen
year group: third
department: hero
agency: the angel agency
reputation: there were mixed opinions about haneul, the boy who would alternate between eloquence and politeness to that of rude bluntness. still, he wasnât the worst there was and he showed skills as an aspiring hero. someone you could look over, especially with how he never tried to stand out if possible. however, there did seem to be an air that he could do better, especially when he showed signs of a strategical mind. generally, he was easy-going and approachable, got a rather level-head, a knack for strategy and needed to be pushed more to shine.
the quirk !
quirk name: cube creation
quirk description:allows the user to manipulate and create translucent blue cubes.
abilities:
To simply put, he could create translucent blue cubes out of thin air. What these cubes could do, however, was what made it versatile. He could essentially create a shield for others or items as long as he could form the cube around or in front of them. He could also manipulate the cubes so that he could carry the things he held in it in a telepathic manner. Moreover, he could create these cubes without holding anything in it, instead using it as projectiles to launch at his enemies. For the case of things like bombs, he could keep the explosion within the boundary of inside the cube.
Lego Armour; one of his favored techniques, creating cubes over parts of his body in an armour like fashion to hit harder and endure better. Sometimes he didnât even do the full armour and merely stuck to partial armours to save energy.
Tetris End Game; we all know what happens when you get a game over in tetrisâitâs a rain of blocks. Thatâs essentially this technique, various projectiles of blocks coming at the opponents.
Lockdown; putting down a boundary field over a pretty large area to prevent anyone from getting out. This is usually meant for strategies such as wanting to make sure the criminals donât escape or to allow opponents to take the burnt of an attack.
Other than this, he was versatile and could use his blocks depending on the situation. He could use the sharp edges of his blocks in a blade like ( albeit not the best ) manner, a bludgeoning weapon, a shield, a mode of transport, or more. He could even create more complex constructs out of tinier cubes.
strengths:
His quirk can be used for rescue missions or to keep a minimum amount of damage if necessary. Due to this, he could keep disastrous fights in a small area or anything too dangerous from damaging a wide area. This was a quirk that was friendly when a large amount of people were in the vicinity.
Itâs a pretty versatile quirk. He could use his quirk both offensively and defensively. Whether it be a bludgeoning weapon or an onslaught of projectiles or a shield to defend oneself. He could even use it as a mode of transport by putting people inside a cube and letting it get from one point to the other.
Heâs still able to manipulate his cubes through telepathic meansâwhich would allow him to use blocks in offensive manners or to move things more easily. This also allowed him to change the size of the cube, thickness of the cubeâs wall and more.
weaknesses:
The simple struggle of how much energy is required to create or manipulate these cubes. How long he could maintain the cubes, how big he could make it, how sturdy he could make it, how fast he could move it, or if he could even move it at all. Currently the heaviest object he could move is a rather small car and even then itâs barely hovering and pretty slow. He could create strong enough cubes that could take a heavy hit from a fellow studentâs strongest attack but heâll probably only manage to do it once. He could also make about 20 cubes the size of his head of a mediocre level of sturdiness and move it about freelyâhowever, adding one more would cause a strain that causes the movements of the cubes to be more stiff and slow.
Although, energy wise he could sustain 20 cubesâwhether he could handle it long enough before he got a headache was a different case. Managing multiple cubes that are bound to do something different from each other can be taxing. If those 20 cubes were to move in one direction together, then that could be manageable. But, if those cubes were to move on different directions or do different actions, it was a recipe for a massive headache. Basically, managing more than one cube was going to be him multitasking. As of now, he could multitask five cubes efficiently.
More in regards to his current state of mind than his actual abilities: he lacked the motivation to push harder. Good enough was good enough, there was never the urge to go beyond. Thereâs no proper drive as of now, and all he wanted to be capable of was being alright. Thatâs simply how it was right now. He could get better, but he was already content with what he was capable of now.
Though capable of defensive measures, it didnât necessarily enhance his own physique. Speed and reflexes especially were something he needed to work on his own. If he was slow, he was slow. And in the fast-paced environment of the hero lifeâa second could change everything. Unfortunately, his lack of motivation did cause him to lack in the physical department.

Ă CHAPTER I.
The thing about bad apples, you see, was that in a tree full of shiny, red jewelsâthere could be the single rotten fruit that was better off thrown away. Heâs that bad apple, a discord among everything else good in his life.
He had wonderful parents, understanding family, alright friends, and yetâŠ
Well, letâs start off from the beginning shall we?
With successful parents and a cool world to live in, young Choi Haneul was initially amazed by it all. He could get anything he wanted, and fairytales were pretty much reality. It was like being a part of every show he loved, of being in an endless dream. But soon, that became the very problem that plagued him.
Itâs not fun. Itâs pretty much there for him on a silver platter. Everyone did everything already, and his parents let him get away with anything. And as a child, he already realizedâit was hard to be special.
Maybe, once upon a time, heroes were only fictionâbut now they and villains ran rampant in reality. Then heâs not just some mundane kid on the street, he was already a rich child that could live off of his own parentâs money. But he had enough of a conscience to feel bitter from doing such a thing.
The worst was when people asked him what he dreamt to be in the futureâthereâs no honest answer. Not when there didnât seem to be anything fun or special to be or he could just have anything he wished. It was bittersweet for a child who should have been able to dream to already see a reality where everything was possible. Because if that was so, what more could he do to it?
But after several times of saying âI donât knowâ and people still prying into his businessâhe lied for the first time.
âI want to be a hero.â
Empty words slipped out of his lips, but before he knew it that sentence became what others defined him with.
Ă CHAPTER II.
Heâs not sure why he tried but sometimes trying something was easier than to not. People bother too much when you donât, and he hated such troublesome meddling from others. Thatâs why he played his role and kept up the act. Itâs easier to say that he wanted to be something than admitting than to admit that he was still lost. Even if he had to put effort into something he couldnât really care, it was something.
But going through life was like a tiring motion. Itâs a cycle, and he found himself like driftwood in the oceanâfollowing the waves but never going in his own direction like the fishes deeper down. Heâs a cloud in the sky, trying to peacefully go through and avoid the birds that flew by. If there was anything he wanted, perhaps it was the ability to just stay still, close his eyes, and to be okay even if he gets stuck there for eternity. Because when he finally can stop, breathe, and ignore everything around him like the world has ended and he was all that was leftâmaybe then he could make sense of what he wants and what his thoughts were.
Because everything was a hassle as much as it was somewhat nice oddly enough. He didnât know when everything troublesome became everything pretty fun. Playing tag with the other kids was okay, but too much effort. Spring flowers that bloom would have made his day if not for how jealous he was at how bright and uncaring it was to the world. Playing to the rules that society has made was done so he could at least enjoy some of the luxuries he detest less than the harsh life without it.
In the end, he found himself only smiling because as much as he hated everything, he was living in a world that he couldnât help but admire. Because these fools that were known as humans live even if it was never necessary. We live, complain, praise, and try to take another step forward. They say he should be too young to understand, but what people werenât aware of was that even if he started to lack manners and respect for most thingsâhe was rather interested in philosophy.
And perhaps the first lie wasnât âI want to be a hero.â
Itâs âI have everything.â
Because as a human, thereâs no way he could ever get everything in the world. And in truth he really was nothing. That was the harsh reality he loathed to admit. He was nothing but he didnât want to do anything about it. He didnât try to be as special as anyone on TV because that was too much effort. And yeah heâs doing okay, but heâs not doing great.
His classmates all have dreams, his parents wanted to support him for anything he wished to be, and yet he sat there in class looking down at the paper in front of him with blank eyes.
âWhat do you wish to grow up to be?â were the words written on it, a common question asked by everyone. He knew they expected him to also write in more detail as to why that was so or else they pulled him aside to ask him to write more and that was just too much time wasted on something so trivial.
So he wrote his answer, false as usual. He stole from every other kidâs words and jumbled it together to make something original.
âI want to be a hero becauseâŠâ
All Might. Helping people. Be the star. For money. Whatever.
Heâs sick of it but school years go by and he continues his farce.
Ă CHAPTER III.
His life goes as normal. Most times his father was busy saving someoneâs life and his mother was dealing with her business, but he also was taken care of by maids and butlers so it was okay. During those moments heâd usually play around with whatever was trendy before throwing it away when it became boring or watch anything on TV. He meandered between countless activities until he could call it a day or eat his meals. The only constant hobby he had was to go to the garden and sit under the cherry blossom tree.
Leaning on the trunk of this gentle tree, letting the blossoms fall on him as he looked at those cherry blossoms contrast against the blue sky. It was the most peace he could ever find himself in, even if it was tainted by guilt and the images of his mother and father which deserved better.
In this haven of his, where he didnât have to face the world with expectationsâhe asked himself:
âWhat do you dream of being?â
His hand raised up to the sky, his eyes peering through the gaps between the fingers, he wondered.
He didnât know. Heâs not really sure anymore. He just said he wanted to be a hero because it was so easy to say. Adults hear that from their kids and they just shake their heads fondly, knowing that was nearly every childâs dream. The most he realistically wanted from it was the cash ( but what he truly wanted was the idea of becoming special to someone, to everyone ). The thing he knew was worst to get was death ( and sometimes he thought heâs better off that way if he didnât remember how painful it could be ).
âWhere are you heading to, whatâs that goal youâre fighting for?â he kept on asking, but there were no answers, no help, just this him that knew nothing.
Pitiful, he couldnât help but feel as he shit his eyes. If only he could ever understand.
Ă CHAPTER IV.
If he was to actually try and make sense of things, then the harsh reality of a mundane life became more apparent. Sure, he was pretty rich and all, but itâs not like he was the only one in the world.
Childhood was just chilling about going to school, making friends, going back home where he just lazed about. This cycle didnât stop even now, but he did have to make time to train his quirk somewhat if he wanted to be the hero that he claimed to want to be.
And in this young life of his, before he found himself heading to high school, he knew that there was barely any change. Because he didnât seek it out on his own, he merely waited for it to come to him. He didnât seek out change even if a part of him wished for it, and he wondered why he couldnât really make sense of himself.
Then now, he had to decide what school to go to next. The obvious choice was U.Y., and yeah it was really over-achieving, but with how googly-eyed his parents were about him going into such a school, he decided to try and do a decent amount of effort. turns out, decent from him and trying to get things done over with ended up with him getting into the school, if barely.
ah, this was going to be exhausting.
the personality !
+ easy-going, mature, strategic, witty
= straightforward, curious, contradictory
Ă aimless, muddle-headed, apathetic, deceiving
A generally go with the flow person, Haneul was one that rather let the present situation guide him. One not to complain or judge, he kept an open mind and a lax demeanor. He puts others to more of an ease with this aura of his, never the kind to pry or be overbearing to others. Maturity was prominent in him, far more insightful than one could expect. Being understanding as well as dealing with things head on than break down, the teenâs mental years go beyond his actual age. However, just because he had such a mindset and knowledge never really meant that he acted upon it ( or at least obviously showed it ). Not only that, though, he was one that planned out things well. Although, his strategies suit better to the realm of socializing surprisingly enough. If he gets into it, Haneul could plan conversations like a mighty general in war. He knew the right social cues, could be sharp enough to understand his opponents, and utilized everything to his advantage. Heâs not exactly battle savvy yet, but if his current existing schools were to get used to itâwell, he could become a force to be reckoned with. With quick wits and a sharp tongue, Haneul was the kind of boy that could get into the flow of things or fit the atmosphere by his great sense and observant nature. Heâs also good with putting in smart jokes or play with words when in the mood ( which was most times ). Heâs also what one could call savage, daring to hit with harsh but humorous remarks.
Haneul wasnât one to beat around the bush, instead hitting the point instantly. He didnât really care if he came off as insensitive or rude, but one must know that he would lead conversations to the heart of the problem as well as make sure no one strayed from the clear path in front of them. Whilst helpful in maintaining some sense of order, he was still too blunt for some peopleâs tastes. The boy was a curious soul, not in the kind that would pry too much and get into peopleâs businessâbut the kind that questions himself and the nature of others. This sort of thinking muddles his head, lost his sense of self more, and made him all the more confused. Because he questioned himself constantly of the authenticity and how genuine he was with his words more than necessary instead of going into it without a care. heâs straightforward in speech, yes, but his own way of thinking goes round and round like a demented ferris merry-go-round. It did help him to question others more, though, making sure to be more apprehensive and aware of things. It also helps him to be eager to learn things that caught his fancy, may it be philosophy or why and how heroes work. In a strange way, he, himself, was a contradiction. For he was straightforward but a deceiver, strategic yet muddle-headed, mature and aimless. They usually shouldnât work, but in the enigma that was Haneul, he embodied these traits as much as he questioned himself about it. It didnât help out with this confusing head of his, but it did make him a pretty unpredictable fellow.
Heâs not really someone with goals. He lies about it more than heâs honest, always wondering and unsure of his own wants and desires. He didnât have fixed goals that he truly wanted, but instead of trying out to find out what he wanted he ended up just lazing about and continued down a path he wasnât even sure if he wanted. Haneulâs mind was like a canvas thatâs been splattered and painted by too many colors. Itâs messy with constant questions, thoughts of his own judgement, and anything that caught his fancy at the moment. Itâs a labyrinth as confusing as a chaotic orchestra, and the only reason he could function properly in conversations and planning out strategies was because he was invested enough to do so ( which happened only when he wanted to keep things less troublesome on his end ). Apathy was another defining factor of his, always taking his time and calmly going about things but also indifferent to everyone else. He wasnât one to really care about most things, merely going through with the motions because itâs less problematic if he did. Most of the time, heâs trying to think of how to make it easier for himself than to not. If following the rules was easier, then heâd follow the rules. If having a common dream that wonât be questioned was easier, then heâd just say that was his dream all along. If having to put up an act because it was easier, then lie he will. The easier the better, and it contradicted his understanding to make his own life better he got to push himself. Unfortunately, heâs not in the mood to do that just yet. Heâs a liar, but yet he can be honest. His lies were usually something he put up to keep up a normal image that others would not bother. His honesty only came forth when it came to tackling other peopleâs own idiocy or to quicken the process. But deceiving, to him, was to say that he wanted to be a hero or that he had a dream or even the fact that heâs saying to himself that it couldnât be helped ( even if he knew the problem was him all along ). Lying made things easier and less stressful, and he lied more about his state of self and to himself than anything else.
reputation: despite only being around a year or so, sheâs already made a pretty big impact. sheâs known for speaking her mind and saying whatâs right. praising when itâs needed, but never too much. she can be a harsh critic and even harder to please, but most know itâs because she knows that they can all try harder. for the most part, people like her.. yet dealing with her on bad days or detentions or anything to do with a punishment, it can be pretty gruelling. and then there isnât to say that her hero costume doesnât just draw the eyes a little too much, even if sheâs toned it down for working as a teacher.
the quirk !
quirk name: black market
quirk description: user has the ability to use the skill of master thievery that exceeds just physical items.
abilities:
user can steal any item or object they see without physical contact necessary.
they can also âstealâ the quirk, energies or physical attributes of others and use them to their own advantage and strength. this lessons their opponent or victims power significantly the longer the ability is used.
as with the above, when stealing in that way, the user absorbs that energy and power and can sometimes be seen physically powering up. they can also steal from more than one at once. it usually leaves the victim feeling lethargic and weak
they are capable of breaking in and out of nearly any location without trace, and are always able to access the area for exits and strategies
user has enhanced stealth so it is harder to spot them when they donât want to be seen, making it easy for them to disappear
user has somewhat enhanced intelligence
weaknesses:
they cannot steal anything that they cannot physically see or be near.
although they can âstealâ quirks, energies and physical attributes, this isnât permanent and as soon as they release the power then those things will gradually work their way back to the victim
when stealing quirks and energies, itâs possible that it may be too much for the user and can lead to harmful results on the user instead, especially if taking from more than one
if stealing health of life force to heal themselves, then when dropping this ability the wounds and life force they stole will come back, therefore they are not immortal or excused of injury even if it could be for a small while - using the ability in this way leaves them extremely weakened and tired following it
if being closely watched then camouflaging is harder for them and theyâre more likely to be caught instead of blending in and disappearing
mutation: fox like features including ears, tail, slight claw like nails and slightly sharper teeth
the history !
triggers: death and murder
born and raised in oxford, seraphina was the daughter to two lovely, yet unfortunate, parents. they were far too young to have a child, yet raised her together nonetheless. it was a difficult time for the pair that were only searching for a source of income and safe home life, but they made it work in their own way.
at the age of six they moved back to korea, settling down with their daughter in a lovely, albeit small apartment. it wasnât in the best of locations, and the risk of a break in was near constant. but it was their safe haven.
be it because of the mix of quirks, or general distrust and protectiveness. their possession were usually always safe from it all if it were to happen. a mix of thievery and stealth like quirks helped and aided in that as seraphinaâs mother was able to camouflage any item at will, only she being able to see it. whilst her father could snatch up anything he wanted at any time.
it was a mix of their quirks that seraphina gained, it developing not long after their arrival in korea. it was a strong quirk, a good one. some would say it was fit for a villain, whilst her parents told her it only further made her unique. that being said, the female did inherit both of their fox like features, a unique trait that ran through both sides of the family and would surely continue.
yet it was age seven that brought disaster, because what was worse than being an orphan suddenly? watching your parents die a slow and painful death at the hands of recklessness through a heroes work. an agency without care for the destruction they caused to the surroundings, or the deaths that they caused as seraphina watched her parents crushed slowly beneath debris.
not wanting to be taken in by heroes of by anyone that might want to try and make her life âeasierâ, seraphina ran.
the girl hid on the streets. in alleyways or hidden doorways as she scrounged for food and found ways to use her quirk to save herself. she learned quickly how easy it was to steal from unsuspecting victims anyway, and just how quickly she could get away from them too.
there were mishaps and dangers too. far too many a time seraphina did find herself beaten at the hands of another street dweller, but more often than not she did well for herself.
it was a jump to age ten that seraphina was finally swept off the streets, hands taken by gentle yet striking faces as they led her to what would be her new home. it was a villains hideout, the anarchy sisterhood, to be exact. they werenât so prominent back then, not yet, but they saw the young girl and everything she did or attempted to do and decided to take her in.
they became her family. a family that passed down knowledge to her as well, helping to train her quirk more thoroughly now, and shape her into the woman she would become today. they taught her what she needed to know, in both education and the world. they listened to her story and what happened, and they accepted her need to avenge her parents.
as the years began passing, seraphina helped around the base and made herself at home. be that tinkering quietly in the back with some gadgets, or snapping a piece of broken equipment from one of the other girls to fix before giving it back. she felt safe there. home.
the idea of infiltrating u.y didnât come to her though until days before the application for the school was to be handed in. seraphina had never been interested in being a hero, but using the skills taught there and insider knowledge to her advantage? that was something she could do. that was something that her sisterhood agreed with too, pushing her towards it for all she could learn and become aware of.
so at fifteen she applied to the hero course, and gaining entrance was almost too easy as her marks scored high up on the list and her practical exam did too. so she stayed there, learning and working her way through it all. making friends who were a mix of fakes and genuines. or well, attempts at them anyway.
she became seraphic, a name that would become associated with her now through life. in reality, it was the name of a villain. but to the public and those around her? a hero.
she made that debut after interning with company of the knowing for two years, showing herself to the public and enjoying the intelligence agency far too much. she was able to feed back knowledge of all kinds to her girls then too.
seraphina made a pretty big impact too with her debut. be that from her outfit or her personality and tactics, it was was hard to say. still, showing far too much skin probably would draw attention, but seraphina liked it that way. liked the way her jewels fit tight to her skin, costumer wrapping around her seductively as she happily played into that fantasy too that some desired. she enjoyed it.
but that wasnât all she wanted either. that wasnât all that seraphina enjoyed doing, and even if she was in the hero course, her knowledge and interest in the support items and creation had never gone unnoticed. during festivals she competed with them in creating robots and gadgets, instead of taking part in whatever her own class were doing. and during the sports festivals? she enjoyed too much getting to speak to them and see their gadgets at work.
so really, it shouldâve been to no surprise when company of the knowing backed her when she began to fund her own tech agency. a company built off her own back, as well as the sisterhood helping with money. she created her own empire, a company to service heroes and have them trust in her and her work.. yet in little secret corners of her own empire, there were crooks and villains milling around.
see, the best way to hide is to hide in plain sight, and thatâs exactly what seraphina does. she does it every day, actually.
so with a company and hero work? there comes money. she found out from a young age she enjoyed money, and every if she had it all.. well what do you get for the girl who has everything? you get her more. thatâs what she did.
for a few years then, seraphina focused on her company and hero work on the side. she kept the villainary separate, but she had to laugh at those that soaked it in every time seraphina cried at the loss of another hero, or another civilian. a worker at her company. she cried to show remore, when in reality sheâd probably be among the ones that caused those downfalls.
it was far too easy to act. far too easy to hide. life was too easy for her, and she wasnât satisfied yet. seraphina still wanted to see hero society fall-- so.. what better way than going back to where it started again?
back to u.y where heroes are trained. offering her services there to the support and hero course as a teacher, her influence to be cast down to the generations incoming.. and that just sounded far too fun.
so thatâs what sheâll do. and sheâll do it well.
the personality !
greedy. thatâs the easiest way to describe her. if she had a sin, it would be greed and sometimes she revolves around that need. she has a hunger for things, half the times itâs the things that she canât have. but sheâll get them, always. it doesnât make her reckless though. no. seraphina always has a plan and her mind three steps ahead, maybe more. sheâs careful and calculated despite her seemingly laid back attitude. sheâs smart, yet sly.
to the public sheâs a witty little thing. a smart and quick to comeback girl with an eye for the pretty things in life. sheâs sweet, with a gentle yet dangerous smile, and it makes her pretty loved anyway. in some ways, an icon. thatâs what she is to them.
the darker side, the dangerous side, of her is the one hungry for revenge. wanting to avenge her parents and her can at a society that has done her and so many wrong. the line between good and evil is blurred, especially when so many good are toeing the line so openly. she has a sharp mind, and a need to do whatâs right, even if to others thatâs wrong. sheâll still do it though.
reputation: a true vigilante, through and through. sky walkerâs as similar to a robin hood as this world will probably get, questionable methods and all. rather than target villains, itâs well known he acts more as an addition to the policeâfocusing on corruption, trafficking, etc. the policeâs methods are limited, and everybody knows most heroes would rather go for the fame and glory of taking down a villain than ousting a prostitution ring, so sky walker fills that gap (albeit illegally). his methods arenât completely clear, but itâs assumed he uses his quirk behind the scenes to gather evidence (sans warrant), before ultimately arresting the culprits (aka leaving an anonymous tip for the police where they ultimately find files of evidence and the shitbags stuck to the ground or walls). his methods, success rate, and choice to remain anonymous (aside from the few vague descriptions given to the police) have gained him popularity among the younger generation. a take it or leave it type among the public for sure.
the quirk !
quirk name: adhesion
quirk description: user can create, shape and manipulate any/all types of adhesion (the tendency of dissimilar particles to cling to one another). one can make non-adhesive surfaces stick together or make anything previously adhesive no longer so.
abilities:
stick/seal  âș jiahn can âstickâ up to four surfaces together at once so long as any part of his body touches the surface he wants to adhere. this ability is usually applied by him âsealingâ a criminal to the ground for arrest. since his quirk is molecular, there is no physical âglueâ that appears. rather, the molecules of the personâs body/clothes become attracted to a different surface, such as a wall. he can also adhere simple things, like sealing a door closed. so long as the molecules are different, he can stick them together, and he can decide how far of an area heâd like to adhere.
air walk  âș  by using his quirk to adhere the air molecules to one foot while making the other foot non-adhesive, doing so interchangeably allows jiahn to âwalkâ on air (as well as water). this is similar to how a water strider uses surface tension to walk on top of water.
wallcrawling  âș similar to air walk, jiahn can make himself adhesive to any surface, allowing him to walk/crawl on walls, ceilings, buildings, etc. as he makes himself stick then unstick to the surface.
ungum  âș the opposite of seal, this ability allows jiahn to make something previously adhesive (naturally or through his quirk) become non-adhesive. ungum causes molecules to stop clinging together and separate. it can be used to undo his own sealant (of a person/thing) or break apart the adhesion of molecules should the need call for it (such as a window, causing the glass to shatter).
patching  âș this ability enhances the already existing adhesiveness of molecules. at a basic level, it could mean making the glue of two papers stronger to guarantee they wonât become unstuck. on a larger scale, it could be reinforcing a collapsing building to prevent further collapse or to patch up any cracking. patchingâs effect will not disappear unless jiahn removes it himself.
weaknesses:
touch  âș  in order to adhere surfaces together, jiahn must touch them with any part of his body. if he canât touch whatever heâs trying to adhere (and he must touch both things), then his quirk canât be used. this weakness does not apply when using his quirk on his own body.
time limit  âș  through trial and error, jiahnâs discovered thereâs a five minute time limit where what he touched first can become attracted to whatever he touches next. after five minutes, if jiahn has only touched one thing, it wonât become attracted to anything and heâd need to touch it again for his quirkâs effect to reactivate. this weakness does not apply when using his quirk on his own body.
concentration  âș in order to use his quirk, especially on himself, immense concentration is required. itâs taken jiahn endless practice to master simultaneously activating and deactivating his quirk in order to air walk and wall crawl. if he becomes too distracted, he tends to either stick his entire body to whatever surface heâs trying to climb, or when walking on air, will simply fall from the sky until he reactivates his quirk.
physical strain  âș  when using his quirk on himself for extended periods of time, jiahnâs body will begin to succumb to exhaustion. it doesnât happen often as heâs usually not in situations that require him to go beyond his quirkâs limits, but iitâs definitely not impossible. it can also happen if heâs attempting to adhere extremely large surfaces, as it takes up more power to cover more space.
effects  âș  for surfaces that would normally not be attracted to one another, jiahnâs quirk can make them adhere for up to four hours. the larger the surface is, the less time it will stay adhered. however, if heâs enhancing previously existing adhesion then the effect of his quirk doesnât disappear unless he removes it himself.
the history !
triggers: abuse
the birth of noh jiahn is front page news, congratulating the noh conglomerateâs ceo on his first born son. itâs picture perfect, reallyâa healthy baby to succeed in his fatherâs footsteps, a beautiful wife at his side, an ever growing fortune.
toys, gadgets, and countless nannies tending to his every needâjiahnâs your average chaebol in every sense of the word. to an outsider, heâd be living life on easy mode. but itâs a childhood filled with classes, sports, and tutoring. thereâs no time to play or relax when you have shoes to fill.
jiahn has a personality that wants to be good at everything he does. of course, that also means he isnât the type to enjoy sitting pretty, and every chance he got, trouble came running. it starts with harmless pranks on his nannies, which turns into sneaking out, and he only becomes more of a menace with the development of his quirk. jiahnâs reprimanded every time, but his nannies are soft on him and his parents never learned how to discipline their child in the first place. nobody ever manages to fix that mischievous nature of his.
his popularity in school is purely from daddyâs money and he knows it. his parents give him more freedom (so long as heâs top of his class), and jiahnâs not stupid enough to think heâs invited for anything else other than forking over his wallet. but he canât bring himself to care. fake or not, theyâre the only friends he has at the end of the day. maybe he just has a hard time saying no. or maybe thereâs a part of him waiting on someone to treat him as more than his background.
despite knowing his futureâs set, jiahn canât help dreaming about attending u.y. itâs fruitless, he knows, yet just like every other kid his age, the allure of being a hero and saving people tugs at him. itâs the first time jiahnâs ever wanted something he knows he canât have.
corruption runs rampant among the wealthy, and bile always rises in jiahnâs throat at the horrific things the people around his family have done and continue to do. however, one doesnât simply disagree with those at the top of society. so jiahn listens, figuring out whoâs connected to who and how. itâs a gold mine of info for heroes and police alike, but itâs clear neither would ever come close to scratching the surface unless they were privy to everything jiahn is.
bringing up his dream to his parents doesnât go over well. his motherâs stare is blank, unfeeling, while his fatherâs handsome face scrunches up into something grotesque. heâs met with a slap in the face at even throwing the idea of being a hero and cleaning up society out there.
jiahn continues practicing his quirk in secret, and like with everything he does, improves quickly. itâs in his second year of high school he happens to witness a robbery while sneaking out of the house. the police arrive at the scene with the robber completely adhered to the ground and a confession note beside him. itâs labeled as the work of an unknown vigilante.
if being an official hero is out of the question, jiahn doesnât see why he canât take things into his own hands behind the scenes. the noh conglomerateâs perfect heir in the day time, and a vigilante at night. someone has to stop the elites from themselves, and who better than someone also part of societyâs top 1%? so his vigilante work grows more complex, and eventually heâs given his nickname: sky walker, based off testaments on how the vigilanteâs able to walk on air using his quirk.
jiahnâs done all he can to keep his identity secret. heâs the perfect son in every way: top grades, good looks, and a friendly personality to boot. itâs stifling, being unable to ever say how he really feels lest he ruin his image. but jiahn needs it that way. itâs best if nobody believes him capable of being a vigilante, let alone one as infamous as sky walker.
the personality !
kind, friendly, and generous with his money is how most people around the heir to the noh conglomerate would describe noh jiahn. heâs nice with good looks to boot and thatâs all anyone really cares about anyway. his parents see him as an obedient kid for the most part, at the very least, he always does what heâs supposed to do and meets expectations. and as long as he does so? anything he does in his spare time (so long as it doesnât cause trouble for the familyâs reputation) is fair game. his nannies would tell you heâs got a good heart, but heâs a menace all the same. someone who spreads himself so thin itâs a surprise he hasnât broken down yet.
underneath it all? jiahnâs more of a cheeky, mischievous, sarcastic prick. heâs still a good guy if weâre talking morals, but heâs nothing like the innocent front he puts on. instead, his language is coarse and his temper is short (thankfully heâs developed a talent for hiding it). while his personality might not be the best, jiahnâs got a strong moral compass and is the type to do things by himself to ensure theyâre done right. he puts up with a lot simply because his convictions are stronger than any temporary feeling. but that doesnât mean he never lets a backhanded comment slip or an annoyed facial expression here and there. at the rate heâs going, he could win an award for best actor.
quirk description: he can manipulate others memories in any way whether itâs his own or someone elseâs.
abilities:
he can erase his targets memories or even his own, though he can also recover said memories if he ever wants/needs to.
he can implant memories into others minds whether to manipulate them into believing something has actually happened or even if they want him to alter their memories because of their own reasons
he can recover damaged or lost memories as well, though this usually takes a little time depending on how jumbled the memories are inside the targets mind.
weaknesses:
if heâs ever too stressed or feeling rushed he can lose control easily which can often have a negative outcome.
he canât use his quirk on someone who has an existing memory problem, such as memory loss
he sometimes becomes overwhelmed with the memories of others at times which sometimes ends up messing with his own memories as well.
the history !
triggers: death and bullying
Born to a villain father and a civilian mother who had no quirks she could depend on, Jaein was a pretty decent child growing up. His mother ended up having a one night stand with his father, the two having been a little too wasted at the time, and it was because of this that Jaein grew up to be bullied throughout his younger days. Kids often teased him for not having a dad, or even for having a âbad guyâ as a father, and it made him question a lot of things at the time. Why did he have to be the one, out of all the kids out there, who was born to have a villain as his father? He even often asked his mother this same question, his curiosity always getting the best of him no matter how much time went on. Though, the answer was always the same. âBecause youâre special.â It was all she would ever tell him and it didnât make any scene to him, knowing that there was something she was hiding from him but wasnât willing to actually say.
It was because of the bullying he had to endure that his mother finally began homeschooling him, hating to see her son suffer the way he was with all of the harsh comments being made about Jaein, however, all the time he began spending at home made his curiosity grow even more. This was where it all started for him. He knew that he had something called a 'quirkâ but he wasnât sure how to use it or even what he had exactly, he just knew that he had it. After long days of trying to figure this out, when he turned 13 years old, Jaein had found a way to use his quirk. He figured out that he had memory manipulation and after a lot of hard work, behind his mothers back of course because she really hoped that he would never discover this ability, afraid that he would turn out just like his father, he managed to finally get the idea of how his quirk actually worked.
This however was something he should have never pushed himself to try and figure out. Why? Because in the end, if he had known that it would end up harming the only parent he ever knew, he would have never done it. He was still set on finding out who his father was, finding out where the man was at, that he waited until one night when his mother was fast asleep, he made his way into her room and placed his hands onto her head. He tried to focus on her memories, trying to find even the slightest bit of a hit as to who his father was.
He managed to get the information that he had wanted, though he would soon realize that he made a bit mistake, that he should have just listened to his mother and he should have just continued living his life without worrying about who his father was.
After he left the house that night, he went searching for his father, in the end finding the man and thought that he would be welcomed with open arms. He was wrong, though he didnât know it at the time. The man put on an act around the young teen, made Jaein believe that he actually wanted to be the 'fatherâ that he had always hoped to have in his life. That is until that one haunting night that would end up sticking with Jaein forever.
His father showed up at their home, an argument pursuing soon after. The man wanted to take Jaein away from her, wanted to take him in to learn the ways of being a villain. His mother was of course against this and as she tried to fight the man off from taking her son away, his father did something that Jaein never wanted to see in his life. The man killed his mother right in front of him, the coldest laugh coming from his father as he watched the life drain from the woman. Jaein on the other hand, stood there eyes widened as he stared at his motherâs lifeless body. He couldnât scream, couldnât look away. All he did was stand there due to the shocking scene in front of him. When his father tried to get him to leave with him, telling him that he was meant to be a villain just like him, Jaein knew then that he had made a terrible mistake. He told his father at that time that he didnât want anything to do with him, that he didnât want to be like him and this right there was enough to set the man off once more.
The teen boy struggled to hold onto life as he laid there beside his mother, his vision slowly fading away as he tried to hold onto something, anything, to keep himself alive. His father had tried to kill him just like he had done to Jaeinâs mother, though a few days later he woke up in the hospital. Someone had managed to save him that night, though he didnât know who or even how they had done it. Either way he didnât know if he was thankful to his savior or not, in the end just going with being thankful because he didnât want to think much about it.
The years passed by slowly for him after that. He continued his own homeschooling and began working part-time jobs here and there to have money for his living expenses. It wasnât until he was around 19 that he began working at The Red Bean as a barista, mostly keeping to himself as he went to and from work, used to being known as the 'lonerâ anyway. He would often visit his motherâs grave every year, though only on her death anniversary. Jaein could have easily erased the memory of her, could of just replaced it with some memory of being abandoned at a young age, though he didnât want that. He wanted to remember that he had been the reason she was no longer in this world, though he also wanted to remember his 'fatherâ so that he could continue hating the man, this way he could prevent himself for falling for the manâs tricks again if he were to ever run into him again.
the personality !
Jaein is sort of closed off when heâs not at work, in which heâll greet you with a smile just like any 'good employeeâ would do. Heâs usually quiet and tends to keep to himself, not one to easily trust others due to his past with his father. He doesnât really like using his quirk unless absolutely needed whether itâs due to his own self thinking itâs necessary or if heâs asked to use it for legit reasons. Want to forget your ex? Sorry he wonât help. He tends to be hard to persuade to even help out with something involving someoneâs memories, though very few people know about his quirk and he likes to keep it that way.
Heâs pretty decent to get along with, though it takes a bit of time to actually fully gain his trust, however even then he still has his doubts about others. He doesnât like to be asked about his family, instantly avoiding the topic or anyone who even tries to get information about him about the subject. He just doesnât want to talk about it and would like people to keep their noses in their own business instead of in his.

quirk description: user has a head of living venomous snakes in place of hair.
abilities:
riyu basically has snakes for hair - said snakes possessing all characteristics and abilities a regular snake would have. she is able to control and command each âlockâ of her âhairâ, like one would control their limbs. they can wind themselves around objects and lift them (they can lift heavier objects if all snake locks work together). she can also use them to defend herself, like shielding her face from incoming attacks.
when riyuâs sense of control on the snakes is inactive, her living locks slither and wander about her head as they wish. most would just choose to drape lifelessly over her back and sleep, forming a false image of long, regular human hair (in a good ten foot distance, if you squint).
the snakes are venomous. can be fatal once a person is bitten by them and doesnât receive needed medical help in the following twenty five hours.
the snakes, while idle, reach just below her shoulder blades in length, but are able to extend as far to her ankles if need be.
she has an acute sense of smell that enables her to detect people easier by following their trail of scent; as would a snake would detect prey or predators.
weaknesses:
her emotions would affect her control over her hair. the more unstable she feels, the less sheâd be able to deliver effective commands to her hair. for example, if she were in extreme distress, her snakes would be almost uncontrollable and high on defense; ready to attack anyone who could pose as a potential threat to them - including herself. luckily enough, the poison wouldnât affect her physically as her body possesses a self-made antidote that neutralizes its own venom. regardless of the absence of poison - the bites would still injure her. because of this, she would carry around a medical kit of syringes and bottles of antivenom with her, in case her snakes lash out on others.
due to lack of extensive training, the snakes on her head donât always obey her every command, and behave as if they have a mind of their own. they would occasionally act to their own desires. their behavior is always unpredictable, which puts her on a disadvantage if she wanted to behave in public.
to keep her snake locks at their optimal condition, she would have to consume generous amounts of meat daily, to keep her snakes calm and sated. the snakes get significantly more restless and snappy (like herself) if she doesnât get her daily dose of meat. nutrients in exchange for strength - nothing different than a human.
while newer snakes can grow from her scalp, once any of the snakes are severed off her head, they cannot regenerate and she would need surgery to amputate them properly. the pain from having any of her snakes sliced in half is equivalent to having a finger sliced off.
mutation: the actual species of the snakes remain unknown, but they resemble slender black vipers, and cover her entire scalp like hair. in addition to that, her pupils are like a snakeâs - oblong shapes that peak at the ends like slits. her tongue is forked and jacobsonâs organ is located on the roof of her mouth to enable her stereo sense of smell. sheâs almost eerily flexible - just like a snake with its flexible backbone.
she remembers the shriek that miss sejeong had let out when she came into her room to wake her up for school - only to be greeted with slithering monstrosities hissing at her alongside a drowsy face. her hair was already grotesque before - hard scaly locks that draped over her back like chains - and then theyâve decided to make things worse and grow glowering faces and sharp fangs overnight. she couldnât get herself to scream - voice clogged up in her little throat and fingernails dug harshly into the sheets as she stayed seated in frozen confusion and terror. miss sejeong, stumbling to get up from collapsing on the floor, had rushed away for help. medusa, she had cried then, voice disappearing into the empty hallway as she skedaddled. your child turned into medusa!
she didnât understand the name, but she definitely understood the fear that dripped from every syllable, trepidation seeping to even the tips of her toes. by the time reinforcements had returned, her little body was already curled up and pressed against the headboard, snake locks hissing and thrashing ferociously to mirror her despair as she warned for them to stay away in between her sobs and hiccups.
she doesnât remember much of what happened next. however, her dreams do - flashes of paralyzed bodies and bloody crimson coming to greet her for months on end.
-
at nine, seo riyu insists that sheâs beautiful.
she insists that she is, because thatâs what her parents and her butlers and maids have always told her - so it must be true. they tell her that what happened wasnât her fault - and that everyone was just caught off guard. miss sejeong, one of the main maids that took care of her, was fired after that incident, so she doesnât have to feel like she scares people anymore.
she believes them. even if there would always be a weird look in their eyes whenever sheâd approach three steps too close; even if theyâd jump if she enters premises without warning them, telling her not to sneak up on them - she believes them.
although her school isnât as generous with their kindness, she keeps her ground. she doesnât retaliate despite the derogatory words sent her way. they either taunt her, or stay completely away from her - there is only one or the other. it isnât even just the students. parents she comes across in school grounds gossiped, too. regardless, she stayed mum. she tells herself that she isnât the only one with the weird quirk, so theyâll get tired of annoying her eventually. her tutor had told her to stay graceful, as she held the name of the seo family behind her.
so she stays quiet.
-
she stops staying quiet after two years.
she doesnât know how, or when, but her temper grew with her. the accumulation of anger sheâs suppressed through the months gets to her faster than sheâd like to admit - and before she knew it - she started talking back. she grew feister. she doesnât physically retaliate, but one shouldnât underestimate the power of spiteful words (and hissing snakes).
âyou disgust me.â
she smiles at those. these kinds of insults are one of the tamer ones. âoh - you beat me to it.â she titters, all eyes on them. all of her eyes. âi was about to say that to you, too.â
-
she gets into u.y.
itâs a dream come true. a typical ambition - as sharp tongued as she is; she likes to help. she wants to prove that even someone who looks as villainous as her could look heroic to others. she does well, as her diligence proves it. it shows on her grades. she makes a few friends - those who share her ideals and are also not too deterred by the snakes that poke them at the ribs every so often.
she doesnât think her life could progress as well as it did.
-
the progress stops. if anything, it backpedals entirely.
she doesnât remember how it started or how it ended - just flashes of memory, of bruises, of malicious laughter, of tears, of blood. she remembers falling asleep. she remembers waking up with blurry vision and restrained limbs. there were faces, but all she could make out was yellowed teeth and sharp toenails as she doubled over, screaming and crying for the pain to stop. the pain doesnât stop. spurts of blood keep coming, and coming, and coming, each worse than the last, painting red down her face and her shoulders and her back and her feet. the butcher knife shines brightly under the dim light. she remembers voices. they arenât coming, the voices sneer. itâs been ten minutes. letâs cut off another.
itâs when she wakes up and realizes that sheâs at the hospital, that everything ends.
that doesnât matter. her nightmares continue.
-
she dropped out of u.y. with the power of money, you can do anything, so she does nothing, for a while.
she watches the ceiling fan spin and spin and spin while she waited for new snakes to grow back. she hated them, but they were also her only company. her mind feels a lot less muddled if a lock is alive to distract her by nuzzling against her cheek.
she finishes her education indoors.
-
sheâs mellowed down over the years, and prefers working behind the scenes.
she wonders if thatâs okay.
the personality !
riyu grew to become more reserved as she got older - although sheâs now desensitized by weird looks sent her way due to her intimidating appearance. sheâs mature and sophisticated, having gone through a lot through a quarter of her life span. despite that, she still holds the habit of assuming the worst when she meets someone new - continuously wary and defensive unless theyâve proven themselves to be deserving of her undivided attention. once the ice around her heartâs been thawed, however, good luck with that - parts of her traits from her adolescence will shine through - allowing you a glimpse of her true, unfiltered personality: just a woman trying her best to stay sane.
reputation: careless, naive, airhead. hyejin lacks purpose. destruction without direction. sheâs a relentless wildfire that can scorch anything in its path. unfaithful and unapologetic.
the quirk !
quirk name: telekinesisÂ
quirk description: the ability to manipulate objects with the mind
abilities:
push/pull â the movement of objects toward and away from herself. the delivery of a physical attack without requiring an input of movement.
puppeteer â the manipulation of objects to mimic a physical gesture. a marionette to its puppeteer, all strings attached. if she bends her wrist, the target will bend. if she nods, it will nod along. if she throws a home run, the target object will go flying, never to be seen again
levitation â to lift objects and allow them to hover in the air unassisted. dependant on her physical strength. if she couldnât physically lift it, sheâd struggle to levitate it.
flight via levitation â floating herself or moving an object with herself atop it.
restraint â to temporarily bind an object and keep it from moving.
intuition â perceiving her immediate surroundings with limited to no physical senses. she can almost see in the dark, can feel objects without knowing where they are. can distinguish whether an animate or inanimate object.
weaknesses:
mental â when sheâs drained, sheâs powerless. when completely fatigued, she canât use her quirk at all until she rests and recharges. that limitation can progress as her quirk advances, but once she canât physically fight, she canât mentally either.
physical â her telekinetic strength is proportional to her physical strength. if she gets buff, maybe one day sheâll be able to lift a car. until that happens, people are the hardest and heaviest thing for her to manipulate.
line of sight â if she canât see it, she canât manipulate it. she may sense that it is there, could blindly respond to its movement, but unless sheâs looking toward it, she is unable to alter it. she needs to be able to understand it and the space it occupies before being able to manipulate that same space.
stressed â she is no stranger to stress-induced headaches. she suffers from mental strain and a migraine will nullify her quirk. she is weakened by strong emotional states and limited to what she can focus on at any one time.
nose bleeds â carries tissues everywhere
the history !
triggers: abuse, choking and death
hyejin is born with a silver spoon in her mouth and two german cars in the garage. her fatherâs filthy fucking rich and her mother is desperate for attention, compulsively draining their bank accounts to fill the void. an outdated dynamic; a megalomaniac of a father and a narcissistic mother. somehow it works. the two of them find a way to coexist and enable their unhealthy addictions, that hyejin inevitably inherits. their daughter is raised under a spotlight, scrutinised with detail and reprimanded for every mistake.
no one questions it when she narrowly escapes a prison sentence.
she wasnât a bad kid from the start. hyejin had promise. she had artistic talent and a passion for reading. the spotlight had her well-behaved. sometimes it was a little bright in the eyes and hyejin would slip up. she has no siblings, no-one to share the load, no one to rely on when her quirk manifests and sheâs brilliant. a miracle from two weak and boring parents. school is tough. as tough as can be for a wealthy kid with incredible power. she finds it hard to control herself and sheâs never been good at practicing patience. her eyes are open to the possibilities of her quirk and turns out, hyejin can be a cunning piece of work. once sheâs learned to levitate objects and send them flying around the room, she pranks her father when he scolds her, slings insults at her, reminds her that she is a selfish bitch who will never be as great as he is. his words donât hurt her anymore. they lost their meaning when hyejin watched her father cower in fear at the ghosts haunting his house. it was a good few months before she keyed her parents in on her quirk.
surprising no one, hyejin drops out of super-school and lands herself knee-deep in trouble. she is bailed out of shoplifting charges by confused parents and a lecture about tarnishing their reputation. she totals two cars in the same month. she covers herself head to toe in black tattoos that make her parents regret the day she was born. hyejinâs never felt so alive.
in school, they teach you that everyone is worth saving. they say that you must only use your quirk for good. they donât tell you what to do when your father has his hands clenched around your throat and your mother is watching from the kitchen with a burning cigarette between her fingers. hyejinâs throat is raw from screaming. sheâs given up. she knows no one is coming to save her. a backhanded blow across her cheek sends her to her knees, ears ringing and vision turning red, hyejin closes her fists around her own neck, tight, siphoning a choke out of her father, watching her puppet rise three feet into the air. she can hear her motherâs screams, watches as she runs to her husband to try and loosen the collar strangling his neck. hyejinâs grip is strong, her quirk boosted with a vengeance. she watches the panic in her fatherâs eyes turn to fear, then desperation, before the life in them drains completely. he doesnât beg. hyejin doesnât give him the chance.
she handcuffs her mother to the toilet with a kiss to her forehead, and fleesâ the crime scene, her family home, her life as she knew it. taking her motherâs credit card and the mercedes convertible on her way out.

hyejin is curious in nature. too much for her own good. to the point where it could very well kill her. she likes knowing how things work, what makes them tick, why children can laugh at a clown and scream bloody mary at the dentist. a stickler for the rules when they suit her and a rebellious brat otherwise. a chip on her shoulder the size of her parentsâ expectations. sheâs inherited a superiority complex and could never really grasped the concept of right and wrong. hyejin learned early that you cannot please everybody. altruism is for the weak and doormats get nowhere in life.
quirk description: The power to perceive and communicate with spirits and those in the afterlife
abilities:
Can see and speak with the spirits of the deceased. Usually spirits who passed on in the area heâs in or those with strong connections to either himself or the people heâs around at the time.
Can physically manifest a chosen spirit so that everyone can see of hear them for a short while and the spirit, in turn, can interact with the living world.
Is able to tell the difference between the living and the spirits of the dead by instinct, even though they look the same at a glance.
weaknesses:
Has no control at all. Canât pick and choose who appears, heâs more of just a living beacon to whichever spirits happen to be in the area.
When physically manifesting a spirit he can only hold it up for about 30 seconds before it becomes too much effort and he runs the risk of passing out.
Never gets left alone. There isnât an off switch for the quirk so heâs always getting bothered by the spirits of the dead after attracting them from just being in the area.
Runs the risk of getting possessed by particularly strong spirits against his will and there isnât much he can do about it besides trying to outrun them.
Still has to be able to speak the same language as the spirit he wants to have a chat with. Spirits will simply speak in their native language and if thatâs one he doesnât understand then heâs right out of luck.
the history !
triggers: pregnancy complication, baby death, death
Song Jaehyung had a pretty pressured life from the moment he was born. He was actually born an identical twin, the younger of two boys. Though the boys were born weeks premature and, unfortunately, his older twin was born stillborn and it left his parents devastated.
His father was a pro hero, a man of action. While his wife was completely 100% quirkless and for the longest of times it seemed as though their remaining son was going to be just the same. While he was in and out of hospital a lot as a kid due to some of the complications with his birth, he eventually grew up to be stronger and quite happy as a child. Seemingly completely normal and in the 20% of the quirkless population (much to the disappointment of his father).
That was, until his mother walked in on Jaehyung when he was ten years old and he was seemingly having a one-sided conversation with himself. His mother, of course, asked him who he was talking to and his chilling response was he was talking to his long dead twin brother. Despite the fact he had never even been told that he had a twin brother to begin with.
His father actually took it all quite well, thrilled that his son had a quirk to begin with after years of thinking he didnât. A late bloomer. His mother was less pleased about it, but she was still supportive even though Jaehyung could see in her eyes how uncomfortable she was with the idea of her precious boy having chats with spirits of the dead.
And the problems surrounding the quirk were soon to make themselves known. Most nights Jaehyung would wake up screaming, scared by voices he heard in his head, freaked out when he opened an eye to find some strange man standing in the corner of his bedroom, some woman standing over him just staring at him sleeping muttering about making amends with her daughter. Most kids had monsters under their beds and hiding in their closets, but he had the souls of the long gone bothering him day in and day out.
Needless to say the weird kid who kept staring at nothing in the corner and could see and hear dead people didnât really have many friends growing up. And, over the years into his teens, Jaehyung just became pretty desensitised to the whole thing. He became quite good at ignoring the lingering spirits, simply pretending they werenât there, that he couldnât see or hear them. By the time he was fifteen he could almost pass as quirkless, if it werenât for the occasional times his eyes lingered on nothing in the corner of the room or the clear frustration writing across his face as a spirit no one else could see kept talking in his ear.
The only spirit he ever paid any attention to was his brother who, even though he had never had a chance to live, was still quite determined to try and be a big brother.
Being a hero himself, his father always tried to push Jaehyung into learning to be one as well. But Jaehyung didnât want to be a hero, he didnât even think that the ability to speak to the dead was even that useful and wasnât going to help anyone in a dangerous situation. He and his father had many a loud argument about it as Jaehyung got older and it became quite clear he had no interest in doing anything with his life. When he was eighteen he finally had enough of the arguments and the constant disapproval his father gave him and left home despite his sobbing mother begging him not to go.
He found it hard to stand on his own two feet after leaving home. Jaehyung drifted from job to job, from city to city, from couch to couch, never really staying in one place for very long. He didnât stay in contact with his parents, only seeing his fatherâs name in the news from time to time after his latest heroic event.
And when he was twenty the news finally reached him that his father had been killed on the job. And he only found out because the spirit of his recently deceased father appeared one evening in his living room. A bit of a shock to come home to, Jaehyung will tell you that. And even in death the man found his own way to complain at his son. Berating his life choices, always popping up at inopportune times to give unwanted life advice or judge him for his actions. Telling him to do better things with his life and stop being such a layabout.
Now at twenty three, Jaehyung is hardly having it much easier with life. He managed to find a job in a bar and scraped enough money to rent out a very small apartment and is still being bothered day in and day out by the voices and complaints of the dead.
Such a great life he has.
the personality !
To put it frankly, Jaehyung is just so incredibly done with life in general. Heâs become so desensitised to everything that he legitimately doesnât care about the human race as a whole any more. In his mind, he has been dealt an incredibly awful hand at life and if thatâs all the world can give him then why on earth should he care? He is incredibly deadpan about everything, rarely smiles and is rather sarcastic and blunt. But he is also very distant, refusing to get close to someone or care about someone, quietly scared that one day heâs going to wake up and find their spirit standing there and knowing there was nothing he could have done about it. But it is not a fear he has actually ever expressed out loud, much preferring just to keep all his secrets and issues locked up inside just as he does with everything about his life.
And when it comes to the dead he is hardly much better. He probably treats the spirits of the dead even worse than he treats the living. Jaehyung is just tired of everything, tired of being constantly bothered by dead people and tired of the world which is seemingly out to get him all the time.
