I think the beauty of the characters finding out about their human selves is that when most of them entered the circus, they were in a dark place.

Pomni was an accountant in a supermarket chain; Ragatha was a real estate agent with an unhealthy relationship with her mom; Zooble struggled with body dysmorphia; Gangle was a manager in a fast food restaurant with failed dreams as an artist; and Jax ran away from home after pushing his mom, not knowing if he killed her or not.

But we see that their lives didn't stay that way forever. They were in a dark place, but things got better for them afterward.

Could that be a second message of the series?

It doesn't erase what happened, but the worst part of your life doesn't have to define it entirely.

I’m wondering why the cure didn’t kill Ruin as well as his Monty. From what I understood, it killed Ruin’s Monty because the virus was deeply ingrained into his system and he couldn’t function without it, but isn’t the same true for Ruin? Isn’t Ruin the virus in some aspect? Wasn’t the virus in his systems too and he was just immune or something?

This was canonically explained! But there’s still food for thought.

The original “cure” Ruin received was the equivalent to a Tupperware Container.

Back when Ruin was still an adversary in TSAMS, Moon ends up sneaking behind Ruin and jamming a “cure” into the back of his head. This causes Ruin to “shut down” for a few minutes, then re-coop.

When Ruin took that strike, his processors immediately noted something was changing, making him decide to “fake his curing” aka black out for a few minutes and wake up suddenly “cured” of his virus. Detecting the change, he rolled with the act that would end up allowing him to eradicate 5000 universes.

Ruin was not cured. Ruin cannot BE cured. Ruin was CONTAINED.

The Virus spreads via bluetooth and connection to other devices, which is what causes the outbreak. But after being “cured”, the “cure” essentially boxed up the Virus inside of Ruin’s body, to STAY inside of Ruin’s body. Now he can freely connect to devices because his virus cannot escape the containment the “cure” has put him in.

This means the virus cannot come in, nor get out. Though, this is where my “hive mind” theory came from due to the recent Ruin Virus take over.

Brief summary: I theorized that Ruin’s Virus may still be a half-connected hive mind - in the sense that The Virus can see through Ruin, but Ruin cannot see through The Virus. This was due to the fact that the Ruin Virus memorized the path to Eclipse’s head, and nobody else’s. Especially because of the fact that RUIN was the one to BUILD Eclipse’s current body.

The Virus is still accepting information, but Ruin can only observe, really.

Bringing this back around, the virus cannot “re-connect” to Ruin due to the container he’s inside of. Though it wouldn’t affect Ruin much if it did, it may have given back the prior control over it that Ruin used to have [Mass Infection].

This means nothing else can get to the virus inside of Ruin as well. INCLUDING Charlie’s little “spell”. She would not be able to pass through the container more than likely, but it’s still up for debate considering they didn’t risk it…

However,

this MAY have been proven prior due to something Charlie saw while analyzing Ruin. She explained how it simply didn’t affect him at all, or like it wasn’t there. Her sights may be BLOCKED by this “container” that Ruin is inside of.

Theory #2

Additionally, Charlie’s spell was that she “Wanted everything to be okay”, to “go back to the way it was before the virus”. If she reversed the events of time itself, Ruin was already infected before this. Therefore, it wouldn’t affect him along the timeline.

What about Monty? He was infected before this.

Yes, but he was DEAD. Therefore, it would’ve just killed him off again via time manipulation.

Holy shir I'm glad they're starting to see it finally, maybe our days of "specifically crows and chimps are soo smart, they're almost toddlers!!" While treating every other species as mindless, are starting to be over

Why the fuck wouldn't that evolve in other species??? Why the fuck would humans evolve basic emotional and thought capabilities while all others are supposedly "eat fuck kill"? WHY

Doesn't help that this same group has been talking about US the same way they talk about OTHER SPECIES. It continues to show how it's all some made up bullshit that they forced onto people and killed people over.

Like if that's what you wanna believe? Sure, but to kill billions over this? Other species AND your own? And how long is it going to take for this to reach the general public?

I've BEEN saying this shit, literally my whole life, but bevause so many people are raised away from all other species (with the sometimes exception of dogs and cats which are 'dumb but ohhh wow they have personalities actually' ) it just leaves everyone saying 'well I never see them BUT I'm told they don't think and I've never seen otherwise'

Then on top of that, the idea that "using hands" makes a species smarter??????? Suddenly it's a thinking being because it...has hands? What?

Or the idea of like - oh wow the crow is dipping it's chicken into sauce...why is this not "oh cool, maybe they have a similar taste", and instead is "WOAH HES SO SMART BECAUSE HES DOING HUMAN THING" why does it have to be crazy‐ or at the least, I'd at least be excited they were saying like "oh after years of being taught that they can't think, I'm actually opening my eyes to something much more broad", but its just "DO HUMAN THING = SMART" like. Come on

It's just tiring, so many people see other species as "nothing to chase or cage and look at", because they just assume they are dumb (which is only reinforced when that animal is reacting out of fear or desperation over the humans dramatic behavior)

Both can be true. Apple is not an innocent little bird. She works hard to get what she wants, she’s a leader and proactive. She is selfish in wanting her happily ever after over Raven’s needs and happiness. And she has a closed mindset, the “royal” mindset, the “nothing can change from the destiny” (for example, she can’t grasp something like Hunter x Ashlynn).
