Meet Marda

A lunarian with genetically altered DNA that escaped the laboratory. They were attempting to make a slaves genetically altered to fit certain jobs.

She was deemed a failure due to...

-Heighted aggression

-Heightend intelligence

-Regeneration not sufficient

Genetically prone to cannibalism-oops

She was deemed too difficult for the average buyer to handle. So they were keeping her for monitoring. They planned to learn everything they could then "scrap" the project.

She escaped and came across a war veteran with a prosthetic face. He immediately knew she was lab grown and escaped the planet with her.

The Crew:

They integrated with other groups of outlaws and stole an abandoned cargo ship. Since it was decommissioned the trackers had been removed along with any identity markers. Its since been renamed The Blood Maiden. Marda's suggestion and totally not rigged voting system. It's been remodeled to be faster and has lazer cannons.

The crew hauls illegal or stolen goods, either to sell for themselves, or by contract for other pirates. They won't collaborate with flesh traders.(Slave traders)

Marda is the captain but Huc, the veteran, is the one keeping things running. He considers Marda to be a daughter since he helped her pick out a name, she's so much younger then him, and he had to explain the bird and the bees to her.

Appearance:

Standing at 6'3 her body is red with darker red stripes across her back, arms, legs and corners of the left side of her face. The right side of her face is a pale red. Her chest and stomach are a faded gradient bordering on pink.

She has hundreds of thin tendrils on her head that act as hair. They have metallic, wood, and bone coverings.

She has a feathered flying reptile as a shoulder companion.

Prosthetics:

Hers, like most of the crew, are basic and not advanced. Her left breast is always covered with a metal plate to protect what's left. Her pinky and ring finger on her right have fake fingertips. Her right fang is an titanium implant with a golden covering. She has a multitude of scars across her body.

Her tail is naturally stubby, but has a false length attachment. This is to aid in balance and prevent her real tail from being cut. Also she would never allow something about her to be defined as cute.

Additional Facts:

-Marda suffers from mental health issues.

-Her shoulder companion is actually a service animal.

-She found a mystery egg on the market that had been thrown away due to potentially being non-viable. Its misshapen and there's two embryos. They have heartbeats.

-She's a head hunter and trophy collector.

-She will fight tooth and nail not to go to medical. Huc has a tranq pistol and some other unorthodox methods.

-Loves alcohol.

Pilvi guided Parker to the desk “After my usual Saturday routine, I prepared dinner for us. I want Valentine’s day to be perfect.” 

Parker kissed her cheek, longing in his eyes “It already is, for the most amazing person I know is here.” 

Pilvi closed their eyes, savouring the moment and basking into his essence. Then, they wrapped their arms around his neck “And I get to spend it with the most wonderful man in Pine Springs.” 

Parker smiled “What the hell did I do to deserve you, my love?” 

Pilvi’s eyes sprakled “Should we go through the list I made again?” 

Parker laughed, and my, what a beautiful, chirping laugh that was. Pilvi never tired of it, or him in general. Despite having been dating for nearly a year, he still didn’t get the idea that they loved him as much as he loved them. “Come on, dinner’s ready!” They announced, a smile on their face. 

Parker hummed as he finished dinner, closing his eyes and savouring the taste of the food “Mmm, Pilvi, my dear, you have outdone yourself. This is amazing!” 

Pilvi smiled and squeezed his hand “It was easier to make than I expected! And it was nice to see how you liked my cooking.” 

Parker wiped his mouth with a napkin “The day I don’t like your cooking, please shoot me, because that isn’t me.” 

Pilvi giggled “Duly noted. Now, would you like to watch a movie?” 

Parker kiss their hand “I’m yours for the night. I’m happy to follow your command.” 

They went through the movie collection they had and settled on the classics: The Notebook. Pilvi cuddled next to Parker, as usual, and he smiled, begging them closer and they kissed his temple. At one point, Pilvi suggested popcorn, and Parker was happy to make them, remarking it was fair that he did the popcorn, since they had made dinner. Parker stroke their cheek “It’s my way to pay you for the dinner.” 

Pilvi leaned on his touch and kissed the inside of his palm “You don’t have to. I’m happy to make you dinner every night.” 

Parker “Allow me to have a small detail for my partner!” He laughed, and Pilvi followed. However could they not laugh when he did? His happiness was contagious, and when he smiled, his two soft brown eyes shone like stars in the sky. Their two most favourite stars in the entire universe. 

When he came back, ten minutes later, he laid his head on their lap and kept on watching the rest of the movie in a comfortable silence. Pilvi made ghosts on Parker’s hair and Parker purred like a kitten, which Pilvi remarked. It was adorable to say the least. 

When the movie ended, Pilvi had been so engrossed, they hadn’t realised Parker had fallen asleep as they stroke his hair. They knew he had to go to bed, but he looked so adorable... 

After minutes debating themself, Parker woke up himself and blinked a few times “Did I miss the movie?” 

“I’m afraid so. Don’t worry, I’m happy to tell you what you missed.” 

Parker laughed “I’m afraid not even I remember the part I last watched.” 

They stood in silence and Parker watched Pilvi, his eyes the epitome of heart eyes, and he smiled, stroking their face and sighing “If this is a dream, don’t you wake me, Pilvi. I’d rather much keep dreaming and never ever erase your beautiful face from my memory.” 

Pilvi kissed his temple and placed their hand on his neck “This is real, Parker. It’s not a dream. I am here, and I’m going nowhere, ever. Always remember that.” 

Parker smiled wide and got up, picking Pilvi bride style. They giggled and he carried them upstairs, where they laid down and cuddled between kisses, sweet words and reassurance on Pilvi’s part. Parker laid his head on their chest and hugged them, his eyes starting to close “Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.” 

“And to you, my darling.”
