- Man united fan, obviously. Was a little too into football as a kid and beat up a city fan during the derby. Doesn't care as much anymore now Tommy can't cheer with him, puts on the occasional game if he has time. (Context for non-brits, English people like punching eachother over football teams. Manchester City and Manchester United are not friends.)

- Was a skinny kid until his teens, once puberty hit he suddenly got a lot taller and a lot wider. He was bullied a lot before the growth spurt but everyone left him alone after he started pushing 6 feet by age 16.

- Spends Christmas afternoon at the graveyard, making sure everything is tidy and the graves are cared for. "Mum would hate it being messy" he tells himself. He pretends he doesn't want her to tell him off one more time.

- Was once a Royal Marine before selection. Decided to get his arm tattoo because he thought it would look good with the uniform. He was right woof woof

- Once decided to wear perfume to fuck with everyone. Soap thought he'd gone insane, Price just added it to his long list of things Simon has done that push him to early retirement.

- The bad jokes are not as bad as his puns. Seriously his sense of humor sucks. Price has a ban on any jokes when they're on missions together.

- Contrary to fandom opinion I don't think he'd be particularly sexually active. Maybe before everything happened, but now he avoids it. Soap however, loves to tell him about every single one night stand he's had. Ghost is considering a restraining order.

- Trades music recommendations with Nikolai. Likes heavier music, but will occasionally start playing girly pop just to mess with Soap.

- Sorry ghoap shippers but they're found family to me. He sees Soap like a second chance at normality, to have a brother again. Likes to mess with him when they're on base. It helps him forget about the childhood he and Tommy didn't have. Soap doesn't know, but he plays along anyway.

thinking about ghost who was scared of dogs when he was younger. his dad used to fight dogs when he was younger. starve the dogs then pin them against each other for his sick version of fun. every once in a while, when simon would cry to much or complain about his hunger, he would throw him into the backyard and then lock the door. simon would cry, beg, pound on the door, anything to get him away from the snapping, growling, borderline feral dogs.

ever since then, he's always tensed up when he heard a dog bark. declining when asked if he wanted to pet one. mind always flashing back to his childhood home. his dad's laughter, the dogs barking, and his ma helplessly watching, scared that her son's life would end so violently.

then after roba, before he makes it back to the military and is surviving in the streets with nothing but dumpster scraps and the occasional citizen feeling bad enough to give him some change to eat, he sees a stray dog. it reminds him of himself. left, forgotten, forced to fend for themselves.

it starts with a slow, both simon and the stray scared of each other, but needing something, anything. then simon starts bringing them scraps, he doesn't know what dogs can or can't eat so he tries to stick to veggies, rice, bread, anything plain. he gives the dog anything he doesn't eat. after, they rest together, one keeping watch over the other, making sure no one unknown approaches. they're protecting the pack, each other. simon finally gathers enough strength to plan to get his revenge on roba. he leaves, promises the dog he'll come back. and he does.

when he shows up to base with a scraggly dog, no one says anything. everyone can tell they are not meant to be separated. from then on simon names his dog "Riley".

simon still isn't fully over his fear of dogs. but his heart doesn't pound as hard, he doesn't get flashbacks to his ma and pa, he doesn't see them as feral and ready to tear into him once given the command.
