I saw the worldwide trend and I wanted to do one :) sorry if my Mvskoke is bad I’m still learning

The Ocmulgee mounds are an important historical site to the Muscogee people. Built in 900 CE (AD) in Macon, GA. Three types of mounds exsist here: platform mounds, earthen lodges, and burial mounds.

A moodboard for all of the indigenous regressors who are celebrating green corn and are feelin little. My tribe is holding ours right now and I am so so sleepy >.<

The zenith is the imaginary point directly “above”… opposite of the gravity point below, it’s the highest point on the celestial sphere. This photograph features George Alexander (Mvskoke Creek) floating in a field of indigenous white corn strung up on a fishing line in “space”. A lighthearted composition addressing the futurity of our precious foodways—in an indigenous future, we take our past with us. We remember that while life and culture is always changing, some things are ever-permanent.

Also since this post was about honoring an ancestor: Happy Allhallowtide and Dia de los Muertos to those celebrating them!
