ben is back!
In case you missed it, ben is back! MV Guam publishes the wit and wisdom from the pen of ben, every Thursday. Haters gonna hate, but that never stops 'the ben' from setting 'em straight! And I love him for that!
The return of this intelligently written column warms the cockles of my heart - ok you sophomoric pervs, it's a bivalve mollusc; so grow up already!
Few people on Guam, especially in the capacity of leadership, dare to communicate as boldly as this:
"Why did the governor decide to appeal the payment of income tax refunds within six months but not the payment to the former landowners of the Layon Landfill?
"In both instances, the Office of the Governor has requested to hire its own private law firm to replace the Attorney General of Guam, the chief legal officer of the government of Guam, which means tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars being used to fight to pay the former landowners of the Layon Landfill and fight and appeal that you be paid your tax refund within six months (my emphasis).
"This type of conflicting legal actions taken by the Office of the Governor and his legal team is what I mean when actions taken by government officials cast doubt on the trust and faith the people of Guam place in their government."
Welcome back sen ben. We missed ye!
