#4 with Muu and Titus, please! ((I ARGUED WITH MYSELF OVER WHICH PAIRING TO ASK FOR FOR LIKE 3 MINUTES))
The point of Muu’s sword slammed down into the earth, wedging itself deep enough to remain upright when he released its hilt.Â
“Alright,” Muu huffed, standing upright. “That’s enough for today, let’s break.”
A far more slender blade followed his into the earth several feet away where the young Magi was standing. Titus’ hair was pulled into a collection of tightly wound braids at the back of his head, several of which were beginning to come loose. He wiped his wrist against his forehead, but a new sheen of sweat replaced the old one.
Muu watched his young charge as he stretched, easing the tension out of overused muscles before pacing over to a nearby bench to collect a towel. He rubbed sweat from his chin, looking around for his own towel to avoid staring too much.
“That was fun!” Titus commented, once he’d regained his breath. He was letting his hair down one pin at a time. “It was a good match.”
“Indeed.” Muu agreed. “I admit I wasn’t expecting…”
He made the mistake of looking over at Titus, who was regarding him with a bemused expression and a cocked brow. Another braid tumbled free of its pins.
“Wasn’t expecting me to be any good?” Titus teased all too knowingly.
“Well,” the gladiator fumbled for words, feeling a flush crawling up his neck already. “It’s just. You’re a Magi. And swordplay is, I mean, I’ve never known sorcerers to–”
Titus was grinning now and finally Muu gave up, scrubbing his face with his towel to obscure the blush on his cheeks.
“Alright, no, I wasn’t expecting you to be any good at swordplay.”
“And I proved you wrong, now didn’t I?”
