FOUR headcanons about BRETTGREY

brett doesn’t notice, but ever since meeting grey face to face, and ever since he started learning and signing with him, he is more lively than before – his expressions, his gestures, his entire being. grey probably doesn’t know this either, but cam and rob surely do.

brett tells grey a lot of thoughts that are otherwise hard to express, including what he thinks about his responsibility as a son, or a white person in such a bigoted country. brett finds comfort in the silence, and grey is patient with his work-in-progress signing.

the first time brett found out grey’s professional and cut-throat combat skills was at a grocery store parking lot. grey chased down a thief and pinned him down without hesitation while brett was simply watching in shock. it was beyond impressive.

It is late when he woke up, and he hears something. Something is the only way to describe it, because the screams he is sensing is more like tickles at his mind rather than sounds in his ears. A weird sensation, and yet so familiar. His mind reaches to a point of time where he actually felt it and knew it.

He simply can’t recall that voice that once lived in his head.

The kitchen is his first stop. He takes about three minutes to make two cups of cocoa, just before he heads down to the basement, where the anxiety smells the thickest. He wonders how Grey’s dreams look like. Are they monotone? Are they vibrant? Are they alive? Do they bite?
