Wonderful Pretty Cure "What If": The Mutagen Incident
In this alternate scenario, the TCRI canister Komugi Inukai is holding isn't just a glowing toy—it's genuine Kraang mutagen. When the canister leaks, Komugi undergoes a radical, permanent evolution that changes the course of the Wonderful Pretty Cure story.
1. The Transformation: Mature Adult Dog Form
Unlike a typical "Cure" transformation, the mutagen forces a biological evolution. Komugi grows from a small Papillon into a large, majestic, and powerful adult canine.
Appearance: She stands at the height of a large Golden Retriever or Akita. Her fur becomes thicker and silkier, with the crest on her head evolving into a crown-like tuft of white and ginger fur.
Presence: She retains her expressive "heart" eyes, but her stance is more confident and protective.
Abilities: Enhanced speed, super-canine strength, and a heightened "Garugaru Sense" that allows her to track purified energy across the city.
2. Adult Human Form: The Mysterious Guardian
When Komugi shifts into her human form after the mutation, she is no longer a middle-school-aged girl, but a young woman in her early 20s.
Design: She has long, wavy ginger hair with white highlights, often tied back in a sophisticated yet playful ponytail. She wears a modern, sporty outfit—a pink bomber jacket over a white sundress, paired with durable hiking boots.
Personality: She is still excitable and loves "Iroha-chan," but she now possesses an older sister’s protective instinct. She is the "muscle" of the group, often acting as a bridge between the Cures and the hidden world of the Mutants.
3. Adult Pretty Cure Form: Cure Wonderful "Apex"
As an adult mutated by the ooze, her Cure form reaches a Tier-2 evolution.
Outfit: A fusion of "Magical Girl" aesthetics and "Tactical Warrior" gear. Her dress is longer, resembling a battle-gown with armored plating on the shoulders and shins. The heart motifs are now glowing crystals.
Signature Weapon: The Wonderful Mutagen Rod—a staff that can switch between a purifying wand and a heavy-hitting bo-staff, echoing the fighting style of the Ninja Turtles.
Finisher: Wonderful Mutation Purify! — A massive wave of pink and green energy that doesn't just calm a Garugaru, but temporarily evolves its spirit to help it find peace.

Dates unclear, but certainly between. 2006-2012.
In 1989 teen monsterism was at an all time high.
A situation that was made substantially worse by the release of:
If the Goo's Alight, It's Not Alright!
Which introduced (advertently) the world to Goozy, the anti-goo mutant monster and (inadvertently) to the idea of drinking mysterious glowing liquids, which had not occurred to many people prior to the campaign.
Ultimately, four American cities were laid waste by the resulting "muteens", making it the most successful/least lethal PSA campaign of the 80s and 90s.

You know, the biology in TMNT is completely fucked.
An alien substance turns people and the DNA of the last thing they came in contact with into an amalgamation.
And in 2012 specifically, it's seen to affect inanimate objects and food and whatever mushrooms are classed as. But we don't really consider how messed up the combos would truly be.
Take the turtles for instant, depending on the iteration, they were touched by human Splinter and got mixed into half reptile, half mammal creatures. Everything inside them is fucked since humans as mammals don't have what reptiles need specifically. And yet they have enhanced skills, including healing, because of the mutagen.
So this goes to show that mutagen, while random, can add things that neither human or animal had. Which means that with mutagen, you could cause the mutants any problems such as angst or sick fics and give the mutagen as an excuse to why things are weird.
Therefore mutagen can be an excuse for mpreg.
