MUSSOMELI - SAGRA DELLA RICOTTA E DEL CANNOLO
Minchia, ci siamo persi la Sagra della ricotta e del cannolo a Mussomeli!! Ci pensi, girare tra gli stand e mangiare la ricotta fresca appena fatta, quando è leggera come una nuvola di latte e calda come il bacio di un amante.... Magari assaggiarne un po su una fetta di pane locale appena sfornato con sopra del semplice zucchero o del caffè, o del cacao. Poi assaggiare i cannoli fatti con la ricotta fresca che ha un gusto e una cremosità che neanche ti immagini e nel farlo, sognare, ricordare tutti cannoli che ci siamo mangiati per le feste o solo e semplicemente per golosità: un anticipo di paradiso, un godimento interiore, egoistico e profondo e quindi intenso e indimenticabile. Perchè mi sono ricordato solo ora della Sagra? perchè oggi è la festa della mamma e mia madre faceva sempre i cannoli in questa occasione e dopo aver fritto un centinaio di bucce, per un po di tempo si andava avanti con cannoli alla crema vaniglia, alla crema di cioccolato e infine alla ricotta.... Giorni di paradiso perché la mamma, è sempre la mamma.

Minchia, we lost the Festival of ricotta and cannolo in Mussomeli !! Think about it, wander around the stands and eat freshly made ricotta, when it's light as a cloud of milk and as hot as a lover's kiss .... Maybe taste some of it on a slice of freshly bread local bakered with above simple sugar or coffee power, or cocoa. Then taste the cannoli made with fresh ricotta that have a taste and a creaminess that you don't even imagine and in doing so, dream, remember all the cannoli we ate for the holidays or just for gluttony: an anticipation of paradise, an enjoyment interior, selfish and profound pleasure and therefore intense and unforgettable. Why did I only remember the festival now? because today is Mother's Day and my mother always made cannoli on this occasion and after having fried a hundred skins, for a while we went ahead with vanilla cream cannoli, chocolate cream and finally ricotta ... .. Days of paradise because the mother is always the mother.

The Chiaramonte Castle, Castello Mafredonico, was built in 1370 in a Norman-Gothic style. It stands on a crag at 778 metres, 2 km outside the town. It has halls, dungeons and torture cells, and a chapel with an alabaster depiction of the Madonna dell Catena (1516).
