If you are a content creator on Twitch, Mixer, Youtube, or have a podcast and are looking for music to use on your channel, this information is for you.
ANSWER: Yes! I do grant royalty-free use of my music for your content under certain terms. This means as long as you abide by these terms, you may continually use my songs without being required to pay me any kind of royalties.
The terms are simple and friendly!
You must:
-Purchase the music legally
-Provide credit in your video/channel description with links
You must not:
-Claim the music as your own
-Sell the music
-Illegally distribute the music
-Merely upload the music to your channel with no other content added
-Use the music in any project outside your Youtube/Streaming channel
-Use the music in any content that is offensive by nature
In other words, just be reasonable. I’m trying to make a living with my music just like most of you are with your content, so let’s just be good to each other.
We are currently in a weird and difficult economic time here in 2020, so please if you literally have to choose between buying my music and paying your rent though, please pay your rent and consider using Pretzel instead, which has my full catalog on it. That way, artists like me still get paid, and you still get great music to use, and best of all you can use it absolutely free!
Last of all, remember, this is a license, which means that I ultimately have the authority to deny or revoke your permissions to use my work. I promise though, this is extremely unlikely. In nearly a decade of people using my work, this has not happened yet. As long as you are following the criteria above, and as long as your content does not include anything that I don’t want associated with my personal brand (racism, bigotry, excessive violence, illicit or illegal subject matter, etc etc etc) then you will be fine.
Thanks for listening, thanks for allowing me to contribute to your channel, and thanks for sharing my work with your viewers. Happy streaming!
