Mushroom mugs! 🍄 The hardest part of these friends is the lids. Swipe to see what I tried. Because of the shape and the challenge of getting them to fit without sliding on the rim of the mug, they have different degrees of thickness. This is challenging because they stand a very high chance of cracking in the middle as the middle will dry first. Then, as the thicker rim dries and shrinks, it can pull apart the already dry center. This can happen during air drying, the bisque fire and/or the glaze 🔥 fire. We will see what happens as they dry and then as they are fired through both firings.
