A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?

Kiarra isn’t the lovey dovey, hang off of your arm and bat her eyelashes type of girl. If she’s going to be affectionate you might not even notice it. Mostly because there’s a chance you might not be there to witness it. 

Kiarra is fiercely protective. It might look like she’s really only standing up for something for her own pride but she’s a confident young lady who doesn’t let things get under her skin so easily. If she ever does do it, most often it’s because she’s protecting someone close to her, someone that she loves. 

E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

Despite not being the most affectionate sort of gal, Kiarra can’t deny herself a good hug. If it’s going to bother a certain someone, she might just do it more as a tongue in cheek sort of thing but she really does enjoy being hugged and tightly squeezed. Especially if she can use her smaller stature to go face first into someone’s chest. 

She usually goes in for the mid-chest, waist sort of hug and is definitely not the kind of person to keep others at arms length. If you’re hugging, you are getting basically all of her pressed onto you.

J   :   JEALOUSY.   does your muse get jealous in a relationship?

She wouldn’t have been placed in the house of green if she didn’t get jealous at least a little bit. She probably won’t admit to it, her pride won’t really let her but she will get a little huffier or let more of her whip-like wit slip off her tongue at the third party who’s come in and made her jealous. She might even get a little more classically affectionate, but it’s often just for show.

Q absolutely does have a way with words. There’s no way he would have gotten his position in court if he didn’t. And maybe in the beginning of their friendship he still had that way but he can’t help it that the closer they got sometimes she could make that ability just... vanish.

T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?

A little yes, a little no. He doesn’t believe in it like the fairytales dictate. And there’s no proof that it exists just as much as there’s no proof that it doesn’t. But he also can’t imagine his life without Margot in it, so that’s got to be true love right? Or something like it. Though he’s the pragmatic, logical sort, he’s willing to believe that while true love doesn’t exist for everyone, he’s been a lucky idiot to have happened to stumble upon something that feels like the right thing.

Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

As a guard and then right hand to the crown, he’s had a lot of practice in being protective, so much so that it’s just become part of his personality. He’ll still won’t exactly stop Margot from getting into trouble, but he’s going to feel a bit uncomfortable if he’s not there to keep her out of the worst of it.

1. Holiday headcanon

Q likes a little more understated celebrations for holidays. At the orphanage they didn’t have much, so there was never a huge meal but always a lot of kids and people and talking and just being together like a family. The first holidays he spent at the castle were very overwhelming for him with the huge party and banquet the king and queen threw and he went to bed early, even though Daniel wanted to stay up late with him and steal some extra cookies from Santa because Santa could live with a full glass of milk and one and a half cookies. 

Now that he’s older and in more control of his life, his ideal holidays would just be spending time in bed with Margot, drinking and watching the snow fall or with his daughters and loyal puppy Ben, reading and talking and drinking a ton of hot chocolate.

3. Sleeping headcanon

He’s great at spooning. Otherwise he is the legitimate worst to sleep with. Either his legs go all over the place or he rolls onto his stomach, face down into a pillow with his arm stretched out over you so you can’t move. And he won’t move either until morning. Sucks to suck.

2. Cooking headcanon

Edith Piaf playing from a CD player was her mother’s cooking partner ever since she could remember. In Clara’s kitchen, that little old CD player was the one thing that followed her around from her childhood home to college to her first home with her ex-husband to the apartment she has now. As well as that Edith Piaf CD. It’s like taking a little piece of home with her wherever she goes. Though now that she’s met Eddie and Daniel, Edith has to share her throne with the soundtrack to Ratatouille.

9. General physical contact headcanon

She’s a hugger. She’ll greet with hugs and she loves to linger for a few extra seconds. It makes her feel warm and she hopes that she can give that same feeling to everyone she meets.

6. Hugging headcanon

Lmao she...does not. Unless that hugging involves hugging someone’s neck with her tail. Though she has wrapped her arms around a certain someone’s shoulders to be carried once or twice. But that’s totally not the same thing. Not at all. She’s just...resting. On their chest. Hearing their heartbeat and stuff.

14. Dancing headcanon (Hollywood!AU)

The accident that caused her to stop dancing wasn’t during a performance or anything but during a routine practice. Her usual partner, Isaiah happened to be bedridden with the flu that week so they’d gotten an understudy of sorts to practice with her. Confidence is everything and this guy did not have it just yet and messed up a lift that cost Ariel her ankle. She has no ill will against the guy and in fact they still keep in touch but she does miss performing on stage in that way.

15. Singing headcanon

Karaoke. She loves karaoke and get her to drink enough and to loosen up enough to actually admit it, she can make sure everyone around has a good time with it. We’re talking getting up on bars, dancing and dueting with nearly everyone (though having her bestie to sing along with her helps bring out her confidence a lot). Her go to song is Come On Eileen. Easy to sing while drunk because no one actually knows the lyrics in their entirety. 

17. Soft spot headcanon

Basically anywhere she has a tattoo is a soft spot for her- wrists, back of the neck, side of the ribs. She tattooed as a means to cover all of those soft spots up. She doesn’t like being soft even if her job as an artist requires her to be emotional and in tune with the things that make her soft. If she can pretend she isn’t and isn’t into the sweet, gentle, romantic side of life that’s hurt her before then great.

4. Driving headcanon

She’s...terrible at it. Her parents never taught her how to do it, always keeping her up in hotel rooms and off the street to keep her safe from ULTRA agents and the only people she’s actually learned to drive from are the sixteen year old kids she harbors with dirt bikes who find doing wheelies and doughnuts more fun than proper road safety. They still practice in some big abandoned construction sites and open fields sometimes when it’s safe enough to go out. She’s never gotten any better. Never let her behind the wheel of anything. Ever.

5. Bathing/showering headcanon

She usually showers but if she has the privacy and time enough to do it, she loves baths. She used to take baths all of the time when she was still on the run with her parents. There wasn’t much to do in one hotel room while they were out. She loves long, bubbly baths that include her singing and a rubber ducky or two. One’s named Jeremy. He’s got cool guy sunglasses. Her parents got him for her. He’s kind of like a good luck charm even though people see him sitting on her desk more often than in the bathtub.

The beard is always a hit or miss with any girl he’s been with in that regard. And sometimes it was like that with the same girl. The last girl he was with before moving had a love/hate, hot/cold relationship with it that changed nearly every day and because he got frustrated and is also lazy, just decided to keep the beard as is so now ladies just gotta deal.

13. Nickname headcanon

Snow knight. It makes him roll his eyes but everyone at the precinct loves to call him that and will use the nickname relentlessly over the radio and comms just because it bothers him so much and they still think it’s clever. You know, snow because he’s Canadian and knight because his last name is Prince. And also because it rhymes. And also he’s a pretty princess.

He placed the book down slowly back on the table, thankful for the haphazard environment the library had taken on in his absence. It wasn’t his job to keep it orderly, but somehow no one really trusted anyone to do it as well as him. Including, apparently, the future King himself who was now standing with his arms crossed in front of a teetering pile of volumes.

“I’m not.”

“Oh really.” Daniel’s head tilted, wholly unconvinced and looking as if it were already carrying the weight and the command of a crown.

“No...I mean...it’s not really denying if I don’t tell her, specifically...not exactly.” 

He lowered himself to poke a history archive back into place in its pile before the stack turned itself into a finished game of Jenga, flushing red as he used the cover. He liked her. No, he loved her. He knew that. He knew that now as well as he knew there was a sun and seven other planets and billions upon billions of stars who each were their own person in and of themselves. It was just a matter of wording it to someone who took so many things to heart and let them sit while they turned into fears. And god only knew how seriously he took letters and sentences, sitting and stewing on them until perfection. It was one of his most frustrating qualities in court, he’d been told. But then again he’d also been told that’s what kept everyone from doing something incredibly stupid. So speaketh the King.

“Well, if you’re not going to tell her...then I always could.”

“You wouldn’t-” he frowned, “well...would you?” He couldn’t remember. He couldn’t remember much about his friend, really.

“I was planning on telling her how I felt, but I’ve been told I should take a certain someone’s lead and start being the altruistic King I’m expected to be.” The man shrugged and grinned as he punctuated the joke, shoving his hands in his pockets. “But I’m not going to sit around and wait for one of the only things that really makes you happy now waltz right by you. If you’re not going to do it, I’m going to go ahead. You can fix things up afterward. You’re good at that, if you recall.” And then the prince turned and walked away. 

“You can’t be serious!”

“Oh, but royalty do not make fake promises. Figure it out Q. Take your own advice and catch up on your history while you’re at it too. It wasn’t made by bystanders. It’s one of the wisest things you’ve ever said.” 

The dark wooden doors creaked open and closed, and then he was alone. He felt warm, as if the sun was, very conspicuously, trying to spy through the curtains. He stood still for a while, then elected to shuffle around a few books, biding his time. He bit his lip and he thought and he thought and by the time he was done he couldn’t possibly ignore all the blank rolls of parchment surrounding him. He cursed whoever it was that had decided cleaning just wasn’t for them and sat down. Well...it was time to make history.

Quin Allen

Lust

Q is a very gentle person, and any show of desire starts out that way too. He’ll come up behind you, rest his head on your shoulder and wrap his arms around your stomach, even if you aren’t really paying attention to him. But he’s got patience. He can wait. And wait until all the small touches and rubs of his fingers start becoming too much to ignore, and all the soft kisses to said loved one’s neck start edging closer to the side of frustrating to them.

But then again, he picked someone who likes to jump him when she barrels through the door, so he doesn’t often get the chance to frustrate them like that.

Exhaustion

He doesn’t like showing it off or coming off as needing help because if forced to say that he’s under the weather that opens up a whole other can of worms as to why that he generally doesn’t enjoy explaining. So he’ll avoid. Move slowly, but keep his eyes down turned or focused on files he has to get through and ultimately be very quiet. Maybe slightly more than usual, but to begin with Q isn’t a person who lives life loud. Often enough it’s enough for people to turn the other eye. 

Fright

As a tactician, Q is used to thinking about his moves all the way through, even in stressful situations. So rather than immediately react, or fight back, he freezes like a dear in headlights. With anything that scares him. Telling the truth, faced by real present danger, or the subtle threat of it he stops everything. His breathing changes, as if he can’t get a single proper breath out of him and even though his mind is busy at work it’s like he can’t get anything logical out. The clever tactician is gone and instead is replaced with a wide eyed shell of a man. It’s what happens when you let fear eat at you. It rots.
