She's certain that this is the closest they've been since his return, personal space had been unknown to them during their time as partners, but things were different now. The line that had protected her for so long was gone, and now she was faced with a decision that she wasn't entirely sure she was ready to take. But there was the very fact that she had been reminded that life was extremely short, and could she continue to push him away when the only thing she wanted was to pull him closer. To give in to whatever this was, to give in to what they both obviously wanted. The way that he said her name, as if it was a thousand questions with just a single word. But by then she realized that she wasn't going to be able to stop herself from just doing it. She shook her head as he tried to say something else, a small sush escaping her as she leaned forward to press her lips to his in the way that she'd always wanted to be able to do. The way that haunted her dreams for years, and that almost scared her considering that it was happening now, and she knew that there was no going back from this.

She could feel him staring, she'd been finishing up the dd5 for the last case, but she'd stopped when she felt his gaze. "You're staring" she said simply as she put down the paper she'd had in her hand and looked up at him, "What is it?"

making her way upstairs, she makes her way to melissa's classroom, leaning against the door frame as she watches the redhead move around the classroom apparently getting ready for the next lesson after lunch. "so i hear congratulations are in order?" there's a smile on lucy's face as she makes her way a few steps deeper into the room. "so you and dana? tell me everything."

"You're doing that thing where you're staring and it's distracting" she complained as she sat on the floor, in front of her couch. They had a variety of files scattered around them, as they were gathering the last of the files so they could file them away for good. She'd convinced him to come over instead of staying at the precinct because they'd needed a change in scenery and she was sure that they were all one more comment away from strangling each other after being stuck together for three days straight. "This was supposed to help us work faster, not slower"
