“What, like—when Cheetahs get emotional support dogs?” Tim still sounds groggy. “I’m your emotional support human?” “More like, ’bonded pair, do not separate.’” Kon mutters. “They want me to acclimate to my enclosure.” Or: Kon and Tim get kidnapped for display in an alien zoo. They only really wanted Kryptonians, but Kon manages to get the zookeepers to believe the human he came with is necessary for his general well-being. It only gets worse from there.

Absolutely WONDERFUL story! Kon is struggling with being observed and treated like an interesting specimen, rather than a person. Tim is struggling with his desire for VIOLENCE. Both are extremely worried for each other. Tim deals with all these nasty emotions by becoming a VERY entertaining dancing monkey for their audience and SCHEMING. They are extremely good schemes!
