Kinger and Queenie switching places is the only change in this AU! I wanted to explore the character interactions between the rest of the cast and explore how life in the circus would change with someone more active than Kinger.
As for the other things you mentioned! That's just how I draw Ragetha, and i love the theory of Jax being transfem so I included it for fun!

Mun talks about Muse / always accepting memes. Hm, my favorite part about Alastor's backstory... I think it would have to be how he lived his normal life after becoming a serial killer. For years he had this dual persona, charming radio host and polite gentleman despite the hardships he faced. - then at night he was stalking jazz clubs, following people out or leading them to secluded areas and mercilessly killing them. Carving them up and disposing of their bodies in the marshlands. - it gives the right amount of darkness. Something canon I ignore? Hm. I think I have heard it said that he wasn't a cannibal until after he died. (I could be wrong) But I have changed that to he experimented with cannibalism and began to dabble in it while he was alive, towards the end of his life.

PLEASE tell me about how being a human lie detector complicates Kallus and Zeb's friendship that premise is amazing and I need it
So I came up with the idea when I was Heavily into Kalluzeb (most of my fic Ideas tend to be around something i'm very into at a given point in time)
Basically Kallus has been used to people lying to him, so he does not know how "truth" essentially tastes like. He can smell strays of it sometimes but it's not something he relied at all on while in the empire. It's only after he comes back from being stuck on Bahryn with Zeb that he realises what truth tastes like.
And he decides that he'd rather be around truth than live a lie in the empire, and his ability does help him while working undercover.
His friendship with Zeb grows once he defects, and while he does expect the little white lie he'd sometimes get like "Did you eat today/yea I did/Zeb I don't think one meelon fruit is enough"
He does not expect for Zeb to tell a lie when another Rebel asks him if they're friends. Kallus expects the man to hang out with him less if he thinks they're not friends, but Garazeb still asks him to spar & nags him to take a break from work.
So Kallus decides to distance himself instead, but that doesn't help either as Zeb then approaches him to ask what's wrong. Kallus feels like their friendship is real but if so, why does Zeb lie??
(Anyway, this au was inspired by my fave tropes - Miscommunication & Mutual Pining)
