a caretaker who's caught sickie's stomach bug, but is doing everything in their power for not let their sickie notice.
• caretaker preparing soup for them, but inside every smell and texture they come across is only worsening their own nausea. they end up just nibbling on crackers the entire day to keep themselves from passing out.
• forgetting their own health, but still reminding sickie to drink water, keep food down, and rest.
• having to hide their own gagging when they have to clean sick off the floor, or when sickie is puking in a bucket they are holding. or even worse, when sickie ends up puking right on them and caretaker can only ran to the bathroom, reassuring sickie all the way, to try and puke quietly so they won't hear it.
sickie finds out, of course, when caretaker comes to put them to bed, leaving a trash can within reach and the light catches them just right. sickie finally sees how pale and tired they look, they've been sweating cold this whole time, shivering even! their stomach has been an aching hollow all day, and they can't seem to stay still.
sickie feels awful, of course, for being so caught up in their own misery to not notice their friend/partner/caretaker has been suffering too. sickie ends up pulling them to bed to with them to rest, not allowing caretaker to leave until they've rested at least a little.
and of course, this ends with caretaker getting sick off the side of the bed, the stress and the nausea finally catching up to them.

Bang Chan has always been protective of Han and all his other members. Maybe that’s why when 3Racha was gathered in the studio to write lyrics for their next comeback, he quickly noticed something seemed off about him. His energy was no where near its usual level, especially with his birthday being the next day. The boy was relatively quiet, and looked tired and was significantly paler than normal.
Changbin, who was yet to notice the younger boy’s condition was in the middle of suggesting a line when he was interrupted by a worried Chan.
“Hannie, are you alright over there? You’re not looking too hot.”
“Are you calling me ugly?” Han responded, he was trying to divert the conversation by cracking a joke and not really answering. But his delivery was flat, and not convincing to Chan, who saw right through him.
“I mean you seem sick. You’re so quiet over there. Are you feeling okay?”
Han knew he had no chance at getting past Bang Chan on this one. He gave in.
“Stomach hurts.”
He admitted.
“Do you think you’re going to throw up?” A concerned Changbin asked.
Instead of responding, Han slapped his hand over his mouth with a gag. Changbin was quick to grab the bin from under the desk and hold it under Han’s mouth just in time for the boy to loose the first wave of his dinner. He expected Han to take the bin and hold it for himself, but the poor boy instead kept his hands on his stomach, leaving Changbin to hold the trash can for him. But Changbin didn’t mind.
Chan moved to rub Jisung’s back, who pretty much had his head fully ducked down into the bin. When he finally sat up, his appearance was only worse. He was sweaty, his pale face now joined by rosy red cheeks. The poor boy was breathing raggedly from the strain of throwing up. Both of the other 3Racha felt so bad for him.
“Okay. Let’s get you home.”
Chan said, but he had no idea what was waiting for them back at the dorms.
——————————
Meanwhile, the rest of the boys had gone back to the dorm for the night after having dinner. Hyunjin tagged along to the other dorm, seeing that the rest of his dorm-mates were in the studio and he didn’t want to be alone. When they arrived home, most of the members retreaded to their rooms, aside from Felix and of course Hyunjin who flopped down onto the couch.
When Felix sat down on the couch, he was exhausted. His limbs felt heavy. His head pounded inside his skull. His whole body ached. He was cuddled against Hyunjin. He felt so awful. There was no way to even explain how miserable he was. He decided that he could at-least try and take some medicine to help with the aches. Standing up from his spot on the couch, he felt his vision swim. He stood unsteadily for a moment before feeling someone guiding him to sit back down.
“Woah. Lixie, are you okay? You looked like you were gonna pass out or something”
Hyunjin asked with a worried expression.
“I’m okay… just a little dizzy.”
Felix said. He was struggling to speak Korean. His whole brain felt so foggy, he was barely able to think straight in English, let alone Korean.
“Are you sure? You look flushed. What were you getting up for anyway?”
“I was gonna get some ibuprofen. My head hurts like hell.” Felix confided in his hyung, slipping into English without even noticing.
Hyunjin semi-understood him and touched his hand to the only slightly younger boy’s forehead and found that he was burning up.
“Lix, you’re on fire.”
A chill ran through the fevered boy.
“I’m going to go get you that medicine. And some water. You, stay here okay?”
He nodded and laid down across the couch, falling asleep before Hyunjin had even left the room.
When Hyunjin returned with the medicine, he saw Felix already was out like a light. He decided to use the opportunity to take his temperature, thankfully it was the kind you swipe across the forehead so it didn’t wake him up. When the thermometer beeped, it read 39.2. That was way too high. He decided the best choice was to wake Felix up and get him to take some medicine.
“Lixie?”
He said, gently shaking him awake.
“Huh..” He groaned. He had only been asleep for a few minutes, but he somehow felt even worse than before. He was disoriented, light headed, and his whole body ached.
“Can you sit up and take some medicine for me?”
Instead of sitting up, the boy just looked confused.
“Lix? It will help, you really have to tak it, your fever is too high.”
Soon it became clear that Felix wasn’t really understanding what he was saying. He realized he wouldn’t be able to take care of the boy alone anyway, and decided to go get Seungmin, who is pretty good at English.
“I’ll be right back.”
He said to Felix, hoping he had said it correctly in English.
——————————————————-
When he got to Seungmin’s room, he heard loud wet coughing.
“Seungmin? Are you okay?”
“..’m fine..” He rasped once he could finally catch his breath.
Hyunjin was taken aback by how sickly the singers voice sounded. He sounded really congested and the coughing seemed to have torn up his throat a bit. And Hyunjin was right, it totally did. It made his already sore throat burn even more than it had been all day.
“Whas up?” He tried to asked, although it was barely audible considering how measly his voice was at this point
Hyunjin walked over and placed his head on Seungmin’s forehead.
“I think you have a fever too. Not as high as Felix’s though.”
“What do you mean Feli-“ He cut himself off with another coughing fit, and Hyunjin rubbed his back, unsure what to do. It had to be the worst cough that Hyunjin had ever heard, he worried Seungmin wouldn’t get enough air with how much he was wheezing.
To say Hyunjin was stressed was an understatement. He was on the edge of a panic attack, but had to collect himself for the sake of Seungmin and Felix. He went to get Lee Know, surely he would know what to do with two sick boys.
———————————————-
Lee Know did not know what to do.
They thought it would be best to move both of the unwell members to the couch where it would be easier to take care of them. But they were not exactly sure what else to do from there. So of course, they called their leader.
“Lee Know! I was just about to call you. Han’s sick. We’re on the way home right now.”
“Shit.” Lee Know said. That wasn’t exactly the response Chan had been expecting, but it fit.
“Yeah. Why did you call anyway?” Chan said, realizing that it was out of character for Minho to interrupt 3Racha while they were at work.
“Felix and Seungmin are sick too.”
“Shit.” Chan now understood Minho’s reasoning.
“We can bring him over there, make it easier to take care of them.”
“I was thinking the same thing.”
“Alright, see you then.”
And with that, their phone call was over.
When they arrived at the dorm, they were met with yet another coughing fit from Seungmin, and Jisung sprinting down the hall to the bathroom to throw up the little he had left in him. There was also a sweaty confused Felix slouched over on the couch, along with a very frustrated Hyunjin.
“Felix, can you please take this medicine? Your fever is way too high to not. It could be dangerous.”
But Hyunjin’s begging went practically unheard by the fevered boy, who was struggling to listen to what the older boy was saying, let alone understand Korean.
“For goodness sake Felix, take the damn medicine!”
Hyunjin yelled. He immediately regretted it when he saw tear well up in Felix’s eyes.
“Lixie please don’t cry. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get mad I-“
“Why are you mad at me?” the younger boy said in english.
Hyunjin felt so bad. He hadn’t meant to upset the sick boy. Relief washed over him when he saw Chan had returned with Han who had finished throwing up for the time being.
“What’s the matter?” He said.
“I can’t get Yongbokie to take his medicine. This fever is really messing with him. It’s pretty high and if it gets any higher it could be dangerous.”
Hyunjin had almost entirely forgot about Seungmin, until he reminded them of his presence with a huge sneeze.
“Bless you.” Chan said, before turning to Felix.
“Hey bud. I know you’re not feeling well, but can you take this medicine for us? It will make you feel better.” He said it all in English, hoping it would get through to Felix better. Sure enough, Felix took the pills before lying back down and falling right back to sleep. They decided to take all three of the boys temperature to check how bad each is. Seungmin was at 38.1, Han was as 38.3, and Felix was somehow getting worse, with now 39.4. They brought each of the boys cold wash cloths and medicine to combat their respective symptoms. Once that was all taken care of, the three sick boys cuddled up together on the couch.
———————————————-
“You know it’s interesting that they all got sick with different things at the same time.” Changbin said when things had settled down.
“I don’t think they did. It looks to me like they all have some type of flu, but it’s just attacking their bodies differently. Han in the stomach, Seungmin in his sinuses, and Felix.. well his whole body with a high fever.”
They were going to continue discussing the topic when Jisung jolted awake from the cuddle pile on the couch and grabbed the bucket that has been placed for him beside the couch, somehow still bringing something up. Minho went beside Han, rubbing his back and gently playing with his hair, trying his best to comfort the boy. Seungmin woke up in yet another coughing fit, this time even worse than before, it wracked his whole body, his chest sore and his throat torn. The poor boy could barely catch his breath as wheezed and gasped for air between coughs. Jeongin walked over and held the boy up by his shoulders to steady him, patting his back every once in a while, not really sure what to do when someone is having a coughing fit.
In the commotion, Felix woke up as well. Felix was known to not do well around other people throwing up, especially when he was sick himself. But Felix wasn’t the focus of the other members right now, with two of the other sick boys needing attention, no one thought to help Felix escape the scene and the vomit. He started feeling queasy, and he was already hot and sweaty as is. The sight of Han being sick made him grow nauseous until it finally peaked, and he couldn’t hold it back any longer. Vomit streamed from his mouth and onto his clothes, but it didn’t end there. He heaved up the rest of his dinner onto the floor before leaning back into the couch, too tired to care.
Finally, the chaos calmed down and they were able to clean up a bit. Chan took Felix to change his clothes and take a cool shower to clean off and hopefully help with the fever. Once Felix was out of the shower and in fresh clothes, hey snuggled back in with the other sick boys. The other members of the group got comfortable around them too, they were in for a long couple of days more.

In which Anby gets sick after putting too much trust in fast food burgers during a roadtrip. Nicole finds out she is a sympathy puker in the worst possible way. Billy Kid is there, also.
CONTENT WARNINGS: multiples sickies, sick Anby, sick Nicole, Nicole is a sympathy puker, caretaker Billy Kid, Billy is silly, motion sickness, carsickness, graphic descriptions of vomit, descriptions of food (purposefully gross burgers), implied food poisoning, vomiting in a cup
WORD COUNT: 2.6k~
A/N: omg this game is already a year old and only now i’m finishing this? yeah. i started writing this when i found out zzz had done a burger and so naturally the ideas started flowing.
Burger, fries and a large milkshake. Not the best idea now that Anby thought about it. But she was hungry, and she knew good choices can't be made when you were hungry.
Analyzing the situation as it was, stuck inside a car with no A/C for two hours while Nicole was behind the wheel, there really wasn't a better option. It was either hunger nausea or the fast food shivers, and Anby chose the latter.
The nausea came with it as a 2-for-1 special. It was hard not to feel sick with how much that car shook, even Billy would complain from time to time. Problem was, motion sickness only got better once the person was allowed some fresh air, and the back windows had been jammed even before Nicole had bought that used car. With how she was speeding, Anby would be surprised if it made it back in one piece.
It was an older model, a machine that could've been even older than the one they had strapped to the passenger seat, currently drumming metallic fingers to the tune of ‘Starlight Knights Opening Theme’. It was a miracle it could even hold a CD player.
“Starlight Knights, warriors of the sta-ARS! Starlight Knights, nothing to looose, OH YEAH! Starlight Knights! United by your stre-ENGTH! Starlight Kni — AAAH!”
Billy's karaoke session was cut short when Nicole squarely hit a speed bump, causing the radio to turn off as the android hit the top of his head on the roof. The whole car shook again from the second impact, making Anby wish she had ordered a small shake instead of a large.
Her stomach sloshed sickeningly, bringing back the artificial strawberry taste to her mouth. She managed to stifle a queasy hiccup as it bubbled up, immediately feeling her tummy force up a complaint.
“Ugh..., Nicole”, Anby groaned thickly, propping herself back up, a hand hovering in front of her mouth.
“My bad! I didn't see it”, she shrugged, catching a glance of Anby in the rearview mirror, who seemed to be scowling at her.
“Please... pay more attention to the road”, Billy Kid begged, combing his white synthetic hair back in place.
"I already said sorry, okay?”, Nicole shouted back, defensively.
"You wouldn't have hit it if you weren't trying to steal a fry", the android accused, waving the greasy packet with a dozen shrunken french fries inside.
"Steal it? These fries are mine, you're just holding them”, she accused back. “It's not like you're going to eat!”
"Yeah, but!” Billy returned the same volume, then his voice shrunk into a robotic mumble. “I like to feel included..."
"Just give me another one, will you?" Nicole insisted, extending a hand which he quickly flicked away.
“Ah-Ah! Two hands on the wheel, missy”, Billy reprimanded, jamming metallic fingers and a cold soggy fry into her mouth.
Anby shrunk at the sight of more food. She had been trying not to think about her fast food meal pushing against the inner walls of her stomach for the past hour. Well, now she was thinking about it. The taste of old frying oil, and the mushy undercooked burger. Ugh...
The car was warm, cramped and filled with odd smells. Anby felt the nausea pinning the back of her throat, her head felt dizzy, everything was sticky and gross. She wasn't used to being motion sick, she thought her training had beaten that out of her already, but apparently not.
“—h... UrRP!”, a thick foul-tasting burp sneaked past her lips and she curled, cradling her upset stomach. It felt like a warm can of coke being tossed around, the bubbles agitating just underneath her midriff-baring shirt.
On the floor of the car there was still the greasy paper bag where their burgers had come from, and the empty shake cup, tipped over and leaking pink strawberry syrup over the carpet. Her eyes lazily drifted to it and she swallowed, feeling her mouth water.
“Nicole...?”, the girl called, against her better judgement, making the pink-haired woman pause in between hackling Billy for another fry. "C-Can we pull over?"
”Um, Anby. There's no place to pull over here, we're on the highway right now”, Nicole responded, glancing at her sister in the rearview mirror. Her face had gone from as pale as her hair to as green as her jacket. ”W-Why? Don't tell me you're going to puke?”
“Y-Yeah, I think so...”, she groaned, wrapping her arms around her stomach.
Nicole glanced back at her with a panicked expression, before she whipped back to swerve the car back into the road.
“Actually I would like to take a break too”, Billy risked it. “I'm gonna need to calibrate my motion sensors again, all the rocking is kinda messing with them.”
“I need to find a shoulder so I can pull over, but — I thought you had done that before we left”, Nicole reprimanded, her attention now back to the robot in the front seat.
“I-I did, but like I said—”, he tried to explain.
Anby huffed, crossing her arms even tighter. The idea of being stuck in the back seat for another minute had a cold sinking feeling plummeting into her stomach, especially now that she felt like she could puke at any moment. Swallowing, she tried again:
“N-Nicole... I don't think I can wait too long...”
“Oh boy, Anby's looking real pale back there”, Billy said, glancing at the backseat. His LED eyes shifted into a worried expression, then went wide as he saw Anby suddenly stiffened. “Yup, she’s about to puke.”
Just as Billy said it Anby's shoulders heaved and she gagged audibly, her hands flying up to hold her mouth closed.
“W-Wait! Anby, just– ah, grab something! Don't puke on the car! Billy, grab something!”, Nicole shouted in desperation, and nudged the android with more strength than she measured. “Look in the glove department.”
“A-Alright boss!” Billy opened the glove department, only for a pile of old receipts to drop into his lap. “Ah.”
Groaning, Anby leaned forward, her eyes screwed shut, her gag reflex pushing her tongue back into her throat.
“Mmur—”, her lips puckered, her cheeks ballooning out in a last ditch effort to hold in the contents of her stomach.
Her eyes roved over the car interior, desperately searching for something — the milk shake cup! That plastic behemoth of a drink was even bigger than her head. She lunged for it, and the risky movement nearly made her lose her lunch all over the old carpet.
“Mmm— BUuEerRgHh!”, Anby began to vomit, her mouth barely hovering past the rim before she began spewing into the transparent container.
The sloppy undigested chunks of mystery meat and soggy fries splashed against plastic with a wet plop, what had been left of the unnatural pink shake mixing into a brownish pink slurry. In her desperation, some of it fell out of the cup and Anby quickly joined her knees, deciding the hot vomit dripping on her legs was better than Nicole's prized car.
“Yuck!”, Billy exclaimed, pinching a non-existent nose.
“Anbyyyy!”, Nicole didn't exclaim but whined as she saw the mess. “My carrr!”
Anby parted her trembling lips to speak, but could only heave again over the already half-full cup, another thick gush of brownish slurry bringing it to nearly full. Nicole winced at the gurgling wet sound that came from Anby's throat, covering her mouth and nose as her sister gagged so graphically it made her own gag reflex want to reciprocate.
“Nicole! Eyes on the road!”, Billy shouted, signaling with his arms stretched out wide.
Nicole looked away from the rearview mirror, just in time to nearly lose the shoulder that had finally appeared up ahead, only a second too late. Half-cursing, half-gagging, she squeezed her car past the zooming traffic, nearly hitting the metal railing as she tried to park with only one hand.
Turning to look at Anby, the poor girl hadn't stopped retching for a second, and even as the car came to a violently shaking halt, she was buckling forward in the back seat, bringing up more greasy slurry into the cup. Nicole's eyes were drawn to the puke milk shake Anby was making. The vomit layered against the transparent plastic, its color going from a browning orange to brownish pink, with chunks of green and yellow through.
Her mind didn't have to wander far to know that was the bits of lettuce on her burger, and the fries she too had eaten. Anby spat shakingly into the cup, it was filled to the brim and just a drop more would cause it to spill over.
“Billy, get out of the seat, so Anby can —!”, Nicole shouted, just as Anby retched over the cup, bringing up the wave of puke that made it overflow. All of it ended in her lap, soaking into the hem of her black skirt. “Aw, Anby...!”
It was then the smell finally hit her, and she gagged into her hand, the fries stirring inside her stomach. A splash of greasy-tasting bile coated her tongue, the rest of the burger already at the back of her throat.
“Ugh, I’m guessing it was those weird-looking burgers you two ate”, Billy commented, his arms folded, his eyes becoming glowing slits.
“S-Shut U— urRP Billy”, Nicole said, her voice dragging as she gagged again, fighting to hold her lunch.
“What? You were the one who insisted on grabbing food there because it was cheap”, Billy continued, not realizing Nicole’s face turned a sickly shade of green. “And you even kept rushing them too, that's why your burger came out pink in the middle.”
“Stop— mm, talking”, Nicole forced out, before she lost the battle against the revolting fast food in her stomach.
Throwing the door open, she buckled out of the car and began to vomit onto the grass.
“Ah, fuck, boss! Not you too”, Billy swore, scrambling over to the driver's seat to pull Nicole's pink hair out of the way. “Alright, I’ve got you. Don't worry.”
The girl cursed mentally as she vomited again, her precious dennies splattering between her combat boots in the form of greasy foul-smelling fast food vomit. Her stomach rolled, revolting against the disgusting smell and now the awful meal she had eaten, coming up in thick bouts of pale slurry. In the position she was, folded over her own stomach, it made it hard to stop until it was properly empty.
“There, there. Get it out of your system”, Billy Kid tried to clumsily comfort her, his heavy palm patting her back with all the gentleness his big metal body allowed, which was surprisingly a lot. ”It’s best to puke all that burger out, anyway.”
Nicole groaned in between sloppy bouts of sickness, her face dripping with cold sweat. In parts she agreed with him, even though it might've been regrettably too late to prevent what undercooked meat had in store for them two.
The back seat creaked as Anby sneaked between the two front chairs.
“Hey, Anby. You good?”, Billy said, his neck twisting an unnatural lenght to look at her.
“Need… some fresh air”, she mumbled, stumbling out of the car. A couple steps ahead and Billy heard the wet splatter of the vomit cup being tossed out.
Sputtering, Nicole stood up, leaning onto the door with a huff. Her green eyes were glossed over, her legs still wobbly as she went to wipe her mouth with the back of her hand. The color slowly returned to her face, gaining a slight pink flush.
“You really don't look good”, he commented, letting go of her hair.
“I know… You don't have to tell me that”, Nicole groaned, cleaning her mouth in the back of her hand. “That… fucking burger probably made us sick.”
“Yeah, no shit”, Billy retorted, his luminous eyes thinning in scrutiny.
“We should get going …Might need to buy medicine on the way too”, she told him, contouring the car. “I’ll go get Anby.”
Billy nooded, and tried to go back to his seat, but Nicole stopped him.
“You’re driving us, by the way”, she told him over her shoulder.
“O…Kay? Ah, tell Anby I can lend my jacket if she wants”, he shouted, getting out of the car just as he remembered the puddle of Nicole's vomit on the driver's side. He scrambled, nearly stepping on it.
Nicole stopped by Anby’s side, putting her hands on the railing. The girl had her head hanging over the railing, chopped white bangs hanging in front of her eyes. She raised her eyes in acknowledgement, catching Nicole in the side of her eye before they lazily trailed back to the grass below.
“Hey, are you okay?”, Nicole asked, putting a careful hand on Anby’s back. Her shirt was damp, her back tense against the metal railing.
The girl nodded without saying anything, unable to spare Nicole another glance. She would've been hurt by it if Anby didn't gag in the next second, her small frame pitched forward with an unproductive heave, only saliva dripping on the grass.
“Sorry for throwing up in the car”, she mumbled, running a hand underneath her mouth.
“Ah, it's fine. I'm gonna make Billy clean it anyway”, Nicole waved her off, and despite her carefree tone her hand was now rubbing her back with a quiet sense of desperation. “How are you feeling?”
Anby freed a hand to peel her soiled skirt for her legs, the black fabric glistening wet with grease and vomit.
“I’m cold…”, she muttered, shaking the fabric.
“Hey, Billy said you can borrow his smelly jacket”, the pink-haired girl joked. “I think I have spare jeans in the trunk too.”
“Hm”, she shrugged, returning to that same apathetic mood that had Nicole grasping at straws to maintain a conversation.
“Let’s go back. Billy's the one driving now”, she suggested. “I'll make sure he doesn't speed.”
“Give me a minute… Still feeling sick”, Anby rasped, and only then Nicole noticed she had been gripping the railing with all her strength.
The white-haired girl leaned over the fence, mouthing hanging open as the nausea encroached on her. Between ragged breaths and gentle back rubs, she began gagging again.
“T-There, get it up”, Nicole said, mimicking Billy's early attempt at comforting her, despite the reminder of her vomit-covered car making her stomach uneasy.
Anby heaved, retching over the grass until she coughed out a final thick wave of pink vomit. Nicole didn't even risk looking at that slurry of burger, fries and milkshake because she would puke again out of sympathy. The smell was enough to make her hold in her gagging, eyes squeezed shut and nose wrinkled.
Anby gagged again, waited a moment, then spat. Her vomit had congealed into an off-color puddle, pink and orangish-brown mixed in a slurry, almost oatmeal like in texture. The bits of lettuce and french fries buried within blades of grass sticking out of the splatter. She spat again, for good measure, the nausea finally beginning to clear.
“T-Think I’m done now…”, she muttered, exhaling. “I’m feeling a little better—”
“Oh, Anby… C’mere”, the cunning hare scooped her into a hug, a hand trailing to her forehead. She felt warm, not unbearably so, but it was undeniable. “Oh poor you! I think you might be sick.”
“We ate the same thing”, Anby stated, cocking her head so she could look at her sister. “Are you sick too?”
“A-Ah, no! I-I'm fine. It's —”, she quickly tried to deflect.
“I heard you throw up, Nicole”, Anby insisted, putting one hand on her forehead too. Her cheeks were cold, but forehead irradiated that same sickly warmth. “Poor Nicole…”
“Stop it. I— let's just go back”, she protested, plucking her hand out.
“Alright, let's go back then”, Anby agreed, turning back to the car.
Sitting in the driver’s seat, a lanky android was blasting anime openings, certainly looking forward to the perks of being the driver.

(mostly fluff☁️☁️)
The next morning, none of the boys felt much better. They had all forgotten that it was Han’s birthday and Felix’s the next day, due to all the chaos of the night prior. But the rest of the group was determined to make it special, even if both birthday boys were under the weather. A cake was out of the picture, seeing as it would definitely not be good for the boys to eat right now, especially Han. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t celebrate. They thought it would be best to do a joint party for both Han and Felix, so they didn’t have to disrupt their rest two days in a row. So, Changbin and Hyunjin went to buy some simple decorations (and some more medicine since they were low), and while the sick boys were all sleeping they hang them up. Nothing too extravagant, but there were some streamers and a couple balloons. When they were just about done, Jisung woke up to urgently bend over his bucket, but only dry heaving without bringing anything up. When he finished, he was about to go right back to sleep, but then he looked around to see that the living room was decorated, and remembered that it was his birthday.
“Woah.”,
“Drink some water Ji. You need to stay hydrated.” Chan said, holding a bottle of water out to his dongsaeng.
“When did you do all this?” Han said, ignoring Chan.
“Earlier when you guys were sleeping. it’s already 1:00 pm. Now drink your water. I’m not kidding around with dehydration.Happy Birthday.”
The birthday boy took the bottle from his hyung and took a few careful sips before returning it to the older, before it dawned on him that it was 1:00.
“Oh shit. I was supposed to do my birthday live at noon. I should get on for a little, I don’t want to disappoint Stay.”
“Hang on there Hannie. We called the managers already, and they put out a statement about the 3 of you guy’s health. Stay isn’t disappointed they just want you to get better. You can go on bubble and say something if you’re feeling up to it.”
Han reluctantly agreed and settled back down into his place on the couch. He went to bubble and apologized to Stay for missing the stream, but was bombarded with replies from Stay telling him not to be sorry, and that his health was more important. That truly warmed his heart, he even felt a bit better because of it
Gradually, the rest of the September line woke up, and saw the decorations. All of their fevers had gone down at least a bit which was good. Han and Seungmin barely had fevers at all at that point. Felix however, still had a fever of 38.8. When he saw the decorations, he was honestly confused, having forgotten about both his and Han’s birthday entirely. When they told him they were for him (and Han of course) he was legitimately shocked.
They decided that it was a good time to open presents since everyone was awake. Jisung was most happy to get a brand new pair of headphones since his current ones weren’t in the best condition. Felix decided his favorite gift was not one from his members, but instead the plushie his little sister Olivia had sent him from Australia. He immediately cuddled up with the animal. His sister’s timing could not have been any better, he really had needed something like that when he felt so bleh.
Lee Know made them some chicken noodle soup that was delicious, even if you weren’t sick. Seungmin took a bite of the soup, but then felt the urge to sneeze. He tried to hold it back, but he ended up spraying the small bite of soup into his elbow. Luckily, everyone had recovered enough that they could just laugh about it and wipe it up, if that had happened yesterday, that would have been a different story.
As mentioned earlier, cake was a no go for the night. So instead, when they sang happy birthday, (as non-obnoxious as they could, seeing that Felix still had a headache, which is harder than it seems- especially since most of the time when singing happy birthday your as obnoxious as possible) they brought out some popsicles, the best sweet treat for when you’re sick. Seungmin was especially grateful as it soothed the ache in his throat at least a bit.
They all had a fun night. Even if 3 out of the 8 of them were sick, they still managed to make the most of it.
Of course, they were still sick. Han didn’t keep down a single thing he ate that night, Felix’s fever somehow spiked, and Seungmin was so congested he could only breathe through his mouth, but they were taken care of by their best friends, and after a couple more days of puking, coughing, and headaches, they were almost entirely recovered and ready to go back to their normal routine. They eventually ended up having a combined birthday live between the three of them and had a lot of fun together. They were glad to have a community like stay, who care so much for their health and well being.

Hope you enjoyed part 2! It was on the shorter side because it’s a part two but i liked it. The part with the gift from Felix’s sister was my favorite, it was so heartwarming and fluffy 🥹 requests are open!!

A/N admittedly i wrote this a while ago, at the start of the archipelago event, but i kinda forgot about it altogether, so here it is now. first time i try two sickies, exciting
Kazuha woke up to a headache brewing inside his skull, leading to an uncomfortable pressure behind his eyes. His head felt light as if he was floating in plain air, his neck outstretched to reach the clouds. It would've explained why every gulp of stale saliva he took seemed to stop midway.
It took him a moment to fully realize the world around him. Someone seemed to be calling him, from all directions, sometimes far away corner, then nearly glued to his ear. He flinched when he felt a tight squeeze on his shoulder, the hairs on his neck standing on end.
Then finally, he managed to open his eyes, finding a familiar face blurring around the contours, colors smudging together, the whole plain tilting. His body felt limp, almost sluggish as he tried to move, realizing now he was inches away from burying his nose on a wooden floor.
“Traveler?”, he slurred, his words barely understandable. His jaw clenched, holding his teeth from clattering together, he felt so cold he could start shivering.
“Kazuha, are you awake?”, he heard Aether call, his voice coming from above him, and he realized who that gloved hand belonged.
“When did I...?”, he started, words dying in throaty grunts before he could formulate more. A sharp pang ran through his head, making him flinch, his headache blossoming into a more concentrated migraine. ”Ugh...”
Kazuha groaned, raising a hand to clutch at his head, but his movements were uncoordinated, clumsily, landing unsteady fingers on his cheek. Heat sparked under his digits, but it felt out of place when his lips trembled out of the cold.
On his stomach, there was an uncomfortable fullness bending his lean abdomen into a plump curve, and yet there was a hollowness right in the middle. A false heat spread steadily, a burning cold, more like his insides had been frostbitten. It stung the organ's inner walls, plaguing his esophagus and bringing a raw metallic taste to his mouth. He tried to swallow, but the motion had his throat spasming slightly, threatening to make him gag when the small bit of drool seemed to weigh on his belly.
The ronin felt a warm touch land at his forehead, drifting to his cheek, cupped in what he concluded were the traveler's bare hands. He nuzzled into the touch for a moment, seeking its comfort and wishing it lingered for more than it already did before trailing down to his neck. He let out a needy whimper when he no longer felt it, seeing the traveler chuckle slightly.
“I never thought you'd be that much of a lightweight, but you really are drunk, huh?”, the traveler commented, rubbing his shoulder sympathetically. “C'mon, let me help you up.”
A pair of dexterous hands slipped under his arms, holstering the drunk ronin to his feet. The sudden motion had his head snapping back, his limbs helplessly flailing as he hurriedly went to cup his middle. His gut sloshed uncomfortably, its contents noticeably swirling inside, making him think in detail of how it felt to be seasick.
But he wasn't in the Alcor anymore, he had long since left the life of a tripulant to roam once more, but once his body grew used to its new sea legs, it wouldn't be easy to forget them. Kazuha swayed in place, his knees trembling like dry twigs threatening to snap under a gust of wind.
Bubbles seemed to vibrate inside his tummy, mixing with the liquid to create a volatile concoction that gurgled up his throat, bringing a vile bitter taste to his mouth. There was nothing more than booze in his stomach, the only solid parts being the fruit of the cocktails he had been tricked into having, only contributing to the risky situation brewing there. Kazuha parted his lips, anticipating a small burp that tasted faintly acidic, he had to put a fist to his mouth, apologizing.
“Here, careful”, the traveler instructed, guiding Kazuha to take a step back, then sitting him back at the table. Afraid he could just topple back to the floor, he held his shoulder against the wall, the only thing keeping him from folding like a sack of flour.
“Poor Kazuha...”, a voice he recalled to be Xinyan's lamented. “So drunk he's falling off his chair.”
“I easily drank double what he did”, another voice bolstered, that bard clad in green he had just met, Venti. He didn't even sound like he was slurring. “He better work on his tolerance, or else he won't be able to keep up.”
“No one can keep up with you, you... deaf bard”, Paimon responded, the accusatory tone barely contained, as if there was more to be said.
Little by little, Kazuha recollected the bits of information that were missing, and almost instantly he could notice that strong bitter aftertaste of alcohol permeating his tongue. The memory of sampling it, how the liquid tasted like it was biting the inside of his mouth, burning on the way down, and that sharp smell... How come he didn't notice?
“Ughhh...”, he groaned again, bringing a hand to his belly, feeling the organ toss and turn under the loose fabrics of his outfit. “What was in that... juice?”
The traveler gave a knowing, albeit dry chuckle, followed by the bard's mocking snickers.
“You should order an apple cider to sober him up, traveler”, he suggested, clumsily setting down a mug, the fresh gulps of his drink still audible in his voice. “Actually order two just in case.”
At thought of it, Kazuha's mouth watered and he could almost taste the acidic pull of fermented apples, his throat bobbed uncertainty and he shook his head.
“Please...”, he grunted, pressing a fist to his lips when a careless burp slipped past him, his cheeks bulging to contain the next one. “I can't... drink anymore...”
“Hah, that's funny. Just now you were mumbling more, more, more while you sleep”, Paimon mocked, trying to liken her voice to his drunken ramblings.
Kazuha would've found the humor in it if it wasn't for his nagging headache growing worse by the second, his vision tilted. He tried to raise his eyes, not taking that hand off his mouth, the salty smell of his old bandages leaving him lightheaded, and met the dim lanterns of the tavern. The traveler must've noticed his look of desperation, the grasp on his shoulder getting tighter.
“Think you can try some water, then?”, he suggested, leaning closer like someone would do to hear a child speak.
“Mm-mmm”, he muttered, shaking his head slightly, his tongue squirming in the imaginary bare taste. Just the thought of adding anything else to his stomach had his throat clenching, winding up for a gag he tried to suppress. “Mmm.”
Kazuha could feel the color draining from his face, his skin growing a degree colder, and he cupped his mouth shut, trying to breathe carefully through his nose. It could've been the thought of food, or just the booze finally getting to him, but something had spiked deep shuddering nausea swirling in the pit of his stomach.
“I feel...”, he tried to speak, but his words sounded wet somehow, slurs dripping with raw nausea muffled behind his hand.
He couldn't entertain the feeling for long, however, it grew from a general unwellness to a blaring threat in what seemed like seconds in his drunken state. He squeezed his mouth shut, pressing his lips into a thin line as the gagging started, no longer able to lock his gullet and suppress them. Muffled gulps denounced his state and his chest hitched, bordering on uncontrollable heaves as he tried to grip whatever was nearby as a last-ditch effort, Aether's wrist.
“What's wrong?”, he asked almost innocently, lowering himself to Kazuha's level.
“Traveler, you two might want to step out for a bit. C'mon”, Venti suddenly suggested, starting to get up from his seat, but his movements were as graceful as a drunken goose, and he nearly tripped over his own feet. Xinyan scrambled to grab him.
“Oh! A-Alright, hold on”, Aether's eyes went wide as the urgency of the situation dawned on him, and promptly he tried to help Kazuha to his feet. The ronin wouldn't budge an inch, his feet were planted to the floor, his hand locked painfully around Aether's wrist. “Come on, Kazuha...”
The drunk samurai could only shake his head stubbornly, unable to bring himself to move. Foolishly he thought he still had a moment to spare, to stay still and let the nausea ease up before he could attempt such a risky move, but somewhere in the middle of that nod, his stomach decided it had enough.
A wet gurgle traveled up his esophagus, erupting in the back of his throat and flooding his mouth in an instant. His cheeks puffed out like a balloon about to burst, taking a worrying shade of red as regurgitated wine dyed the inside of his mouth. The taste was vile, sweet, and acidic like spoiled fruit, making his tongue curl, it took everything in him to not commit it to memory.
For a second he thought could hold it in, his eyes were watering from the effort of locking his throat. Getting sick was nothing new to him, living as a wanderer provided him with plenty of opportunities for that, but now it was different. Alcohol left him powerless.
Aether saw it, and tried to lift Kazuha again, but there was still a gentleness to his actions. As if there was some unregistered strength he was afraid to use. The pulling, even if delicate, jostling Kazuha's frame, making his head bob, sending him further into nausea.
His stomach and chest heaved in sync, pushing its liquified contents up his throat, adding to the volume in his cheeks. The taste, even stronger, seeping into his tongue… He gagged harshly, finally breaking, and a cloudy purplish red liquid burst through his lips and out his nostrils.
Vomit sprayed violently through the crack of his fingers, no matter how much he pressed, it coated his bandaged hand in that deep blood color, soaking into the ties.
“Ack, no. No, no, no”, Venti jumped out of his seat, one hand covering his mouth as he suddenly paled.
“Eek!”, Paimon shrieked from behind the traveler and flew to the other side of the table, where she hovered closer to Xinyan for safety.
The traveler was frozen in place, torn between the choice of freeing himself and skipping from the line of fire, but leaving Kazuha without anything to hold onto while he heaved. He looked down in time to see something red pour over his golden boots. He could only shudder in disgust, shooting Kazuha a look of pity. The ronin sounded like he was drowning.
“Mmm, guh–”, he choked, trying to muffle the sounds, but the gurgling in his throat was unmistakable.
His eyes nearly drove back when he next gagged, his chest jumping to give room for another wave of regurgitated wine. It came up so forcefully that his hand nearly leaped out of his mouth.
It felt like he didn't have control over his body anymore. All the alcohol and juice he had drank that night shot out of his mouth, splattering with a surprisingly soft sound as his hand flew out. The shock had made him release his grip around Aether's wrist, but it didn't help the fact that he had already covered up to his thighs in vomit.
The ronin panted harshly, tears welling up in his eyes as his mind raced, conjuring so many apologies he couldn't utter. He could only wish it would be over soon, that the alcohol would make him forget that horrible night. By the archons, he would never show his face in Mondstadt again.
“Whoa!”, Xinyan exclaimed from the other side of the table, finally getting up herself, nearly bumping into Venti as she backed away. The bard looked as stiff as a statue. “You okay there, buddy?‘
“Oh no... Not you too!”, Paimon pleaded, backing away.
Venti didn't hear her, he was still standing there, trying to look away from the disaster unfolding, but his eyes were wide open. His own throat was now bobbing, his tongue growing heavier inside his mouth, his saliva growing thicker. And without even realizing it, he found himself gagging as well.
It was when Kazuha started retching that he couldn't hold it any longer. The sharp guttural sound of the samurai's throat scraping, the gurgling wet belch cut by a harsh spill, the constant struggled sobs. It had him thinking of his own sloshing stomach filled to the brim with booze.
“That's... bad”, he panted, his mouth dripping, his voice distorted by revulsion. “That's r-really bad– URP!”
Venti hurriedly spun on his heels, grabbing the attention of the last patrons who weren't staring at Kazuha already, including Xinyan. She could've sworn she saw him turn into a flurry of feathers as he bolted for the corner, trailing a path that should've knocked a chair over.
The bard seemingly reappeared against the wall of the tavern, fiercely holding onto it, back turned to the audience as he promptly purged the contents of his stomach all over the wooden floor.
“Welp, one more”, Xinyan sighed and followed after him, leaving Paimon to float anxiously as she watched the scene.
Aether heard the scurring of heels gaining distance but didn't let that take his attention away from Kazuha. The drunken samurai buckled forward with another violent retch, spilling another mouthful of his stomach contents squarely over his boots. The traveler looked past it as he went to stabilize him, holding both his shoulders as he started to slump.
While he tended to his friend, there was vomit soaking into his pants, quickly cooling as the fabric glued to his skin, but Aether didn't have it in him to be mad. Kazuha looked so pitiful that it made his heart ache and even ignore the sharp stench of spoiled fruit and alcohol.
“C-Come on, Kazuha. Can you stand up?”, he tried in vain, finding no signs of an improvement in the ronin's condition. “We shouldn't stay here.”
His plea fell on deaf ears. Kazuha simply buried his head between his legs, waiting with his mouth open while more violent retches wrecked his small frame. Seeing him tremble and spasm like that took a toll on Aether's sympathy and he leaned over, landing a hand on his back. He was shivering under the loose fabrics.
Aether sighed quietly, gently patting Kazuha's back as the dry retching became harsher as if he was struggling to come up with more, but nowhere near done. His muscles felt sharp under his skin, winding up to launch him forward every time he heaved.
“Easy there. It's okay”, he tried to soothe, but Kazuha wasn't listening.
In the middle of his retching, one suddenly broke off into a gush of alcoholic puke, thoroughly soaking his own socks. The vomit splattered mercilessly, sounding too much like an open faucet pouring over the hard floor. The samurai gasped greedily in between bouts, barely able to catch his breath before more liquid erupted out of him.
Aether found himself swallowing a lump of disgust in his throat, trying his damnedest to not look at the multi-colored puddle beneath both of their feet. At least the sounds were drowning out the patron's chatter, he couldn't help but feel his chest grow cold every time he caught their names in a whisper. It was inevitable, the tavern was nearly packed full.
Kazuha let out a pitiful moan as his vomiting finally tapered off, coughing wetly over the disgusting puddle soaking into his socks. His head was spinning wildly, that otherwise sharp twinge in the side of his skull now an unbearable ache that felt like it was trying to squeeze his eyeballs, his brain had long turned into mush.
His mouth was left open, unable to close as dense threads of bile and drool hung from his lips, connecting to the lines of snot pouring from his nose. He didn't even realize when he started crying, but now his chest shook with contained sobs, his throat gluing itself shut whenever he tried to suck in a breath.
He could at least feel the traveler's presence nearby, his hand weighing on his back in a somewhat comforting way. It would've been better if he didn't feel like he was about to fall over.
His bruised stomach murmured and he brought a shaking hand to it, nearly flinching when the organ immediately responded by sprouting a dull ache. The spell had been so violent, the heaving so grating, his gut was trying to turn itself out, expel until the last drop of alcohol left inside of it.
“Mmm... ugh”, Kazuha whimpered as he tried to move, barely an inch off the chair and he felt swift hands lace around him.
“Are you done?”, the traveler spoke from above him. “Kazuha?”
“Hmm? Mm-hum. I-I think... think so”, he nodded weakly, his stomach following. His voice was coarse, barely a whisper as coat upon coats of acid had rendered his throat nearly useless.
Aether remained in silence for a bit, watching Kazuha slowly regain his senses one by one, bringing a shaky soiled hand to wipe his mouth clean. Picking a napkin off the table, Aether lowered himself to his level once more and gently lifted his face.
Kazuha grunted as his cheeks were squeezed by a thumb and an indicator, but didn't try to fight it. He couldn't even if he wanted to, so he stayed quiet as the traveler thoroughly cleaned his face, and then his nose. It barely made a difference, there was vomit on his feet, as well as his lap, and not to mention all over Aether, but it still gave Kazuha just the slightest bit of comfort.
“Diluc's going to kill us...”, he heard Paimon say from somewhere, the name unfamiliar to him, but Aether seemed to twitch as he heard it.
“L-let's hope not...”, he mumbled, looking down as he crumpled the napkin. “I wouldn't—”
"BuuU- urRGH… bLEeeRgHHh!", a harsh retch coming from a far corner cut him off, and Aether turned his head to find a green silhouette against the wall, the antic clothes standing out against the more humbly-dressed patrons.
“Looks like Venti hasn't built much of a tolerance either”, Aether commented with a humorless chuckle, but Kazuha was too far buried in his own misery to care.
Meanwhile, stashed in the far, less populated corner of the tavern, Venti heaved miserably, while Xinyan carefully held his braids back, keeping them away from the line of fire. Not that it did much, Venti was easily one of the messiest pukers she had ever seen, not even a seasick pirate, or a drunken one compared.
She had run after him, thinking this would've been over quick enough and they would be able to avoid another mess, but Venti barely heaved before he started spewing. A sizable wave of alcoholic puke surged out of him, and she could almost tell when his body prepared itself to expel it.
His shoulders locked, his neck stiffening before his head drooped, he let out a drowning gurgle and vomit came rushing out of him like a faucet. Nearly pure liquid splattered between his feet, like rain falling all at once, taking on an unhealthy brownish red color as it puddled on the wooden boards. Somehow it reminded her of chicken broth, but Liyue's cuisine was the last thing she should've been thinking about.
“Take it easy, bud. Here, let me help ya”, she said, pulling his braids out of the line of fire. Not a second to rest before he started dry heaving, his body wouldn't let up, making her think he could end up slamming his head on the wall if he wasn't careful. “Easy, easy.”
Venti tried to say something, more like a warning, but between the intense gagging and the wet gasps, she couldn't make it out. He clutched at the wall, feeling as if his stomach was desperately trying to turn itself out. He refused to believe he had become this squeamish. He, who had survived through the archon war, reduced to a miserable queasy mess. Unable to hold his liquor in the middle of a packed full bar.
“...guh– huUUuRrrRkK!”, he retched, feeling Xinyan's grasp on his hair tighten, not following his sudden lurch, and again, another continuous stream of vomit poured out of him. “EeURrGhh, ugghh.”
“You're good, I gotchu”, she reassured him, sounding genuinely comforting, her blazing enthusiasm still living on, even in such a pitiful situation. “Gee, that's a lot.”
To Venti it was just another day of sustaining a human form with real limits and downsides, but he wouldn't trade it for anything. Not even his gnosis back. Even if someday he caught himself thinking of how it would've been if he had just…
Venti broke into empty gags as the vomiting tapered off, waiting for his stomach to stop throbbing before he tried swallowing again. Groaning almost dejectedly, he ran a white sleeve under his nose, thoroughly cleaning his face while he sniffed. His nostrils were burning with the mixture of alcohol and acid, and his tongue tasted utterly vile.
“Lord Barbatos…”, he muttered out of habit, but always failing to realize the irony in using his own name in vain. “What was that…? I swear I'm not weak to alcohol.”
“You can say that again. I saw you down whole bottles. You'd be a big shot at the Alcor”, Xinyan stitched his thought while she let go of his hair. “But try to lay off the alcohol for tonight, alright? For Kazuha's sake.”
“Y-Yeah, ugh. Watching… that… happen, I think I might, for a whole two days”, he frowned, avoiding looking in that direction. “I'm… feeling a little off now.”
“It's okay, don'tcha worry”, Xinyan said, peeling one of Venti's hands off the wall and throwing it over her shoulder.
Venti barely registered the walk, Xinyan dragged so swiftly he didn't even feel his feet touch the ground. He tried opening his eyes as they stopped, finding Aether and Kazuha amidst a sea of red wine covering the floorboards. He had to close his eyes again, wrinkling his nose.
“Traveler, we should get going”, he heard her say. “This one's out for the count too.”
The bard groaned in response, grimacing at the terrible taste in his mouth. Aether nodded, frowning as his eyes landed on Venti, another drunk disaster on their hands.
“How's Kazuha?”, she asked while pulling a chair for Venti and carefully seating him down. “Is he complaining of headaches? Do you think this fella just rushed the hangover he'll be having tomorrow?”
“Hey, Kazuha?”, Aether called, lifting his head with a thumb, his eyes were glossy, but he still managed a soft huff to show he was awake. “Does your head hurt?”
“Mmm...”, he nodded weakly, almost imperceptible, swallowing before he tried to speak. “My-my... stomach t-too...”
To that Aether raised his eyebrows, instinctively going to feel his forehead again, finding a slight heat irradiating from it. A small hum left him as he drifted to his neck, supporting Kazuha's head on his hand as he did so.
“It might not be. We should probably play it safe and take him Barbara”, he suggested, looking at Xinyan, who was tending to Venti, doing the same. “Actually, we should bring the two of them.”
“Me? No. I'm fine, you two...”, the bard murmured without opening his eyes, his throat bobbing as he kept swallowing. “I'm not even drunk.”
“Is he always like this?”, Xinyan asked, raising an eyebrow, to which Aether merely shrugged. “Alright, can you look after these two? I'll go close our tabs, and, well, apologize for the mess. Apologize a lot.”
The traveler agreed, getting up to his feet, but without leaving Kazuha's side. The ronin seemed more aware now, his eyes darting across the tavern, red and welled up with tears. When they landed on Aether again, spotting the cold vomit stain all over his thighs, they went wide.
“You must be so mad at me...”, he muttered, choking on a sob. “I'm so sorry. I promise I'll repay you for the clothes somehow.”
“Hey, I'm not. So just forget that, alright?”, Aether waved him off, trying to sound just a little softer. “How are you feeling now?”
“Like... ugh, it feels like my head is trying to kill me”, he groaned, all of his graceful politeness spilled along with his stomach contents. “I'm never trying Mondstadt's wine ever again. It's so... fruity you don't even realize you're drinking it until…”
“Hum… I'd think Inazuman sake would be much stronger than that”, Aether recalled.
“Don't even get me started…”
They didn't have much longer to divulge on that, Xinyan had managed to wipe her frown off and was looking a little more cheerful for it.
“All's set. Let's get going”, she said, propping Venti over her shoulder again.
“I guess you're gonna have to carry me, huh?” Kazuha pointed out, trying to sound more playful than pitiful, but he didn't exactly achieve that.
“You're lucky we weigh about the same because you owe now”, Aether shot back, lowering himself again while draping Kazuha's arm over his shoulder. “Come on, up we go.”
Aether lifted him off ease, his soiled feet barely touched the ground as they walked off the tavern through the back door and out into the cold streets of a sleepy Mond. Xinyan followed closely, carrying her own drunkard.
After all that, Aether was sure Kazuha wouldn't be coming back for a visit any time soon. But there was still a lot to happen.
