This is hardly the worst feeling I’ve experienced.” Blue eyes as cold as the snow he knelt in shifted towards the stranger, his expression raining neutral despite his own wonder getting the better of him. “Why are you out here? I thought I was the only one that knew of this spot.  .  .”

She was in the middle of throwing back her drink when he finished off his story, a loud snort forcing most of the whiskey she had tried to swallow through her nose. The sting was like a sharp and sudden spike through the skull, but that was what she got for drinking in the middle of listening to someone speak.

Eyes watering, Anita succumbed to a short-lived coughing fit before she set her glass aside.

   “Despite everything that happened -- how your master willingly used the Orichalcos and needlessly sacrificed you -- even calling you useless, you still care about him...” The Guardian wasn’t scolding or judging the magician; if anything, she was surprised. She knew of few monsters aside from her fellow Guardians who still treated their masters with respect and trusted them after they had used the Orichalcos. However, part of her still held doubts that the Dark Magician was so forgiving.

࿐ྂ₊˚✩ —  ❛ Oh come on, it’s not THAT weird !! ❜ Though at the other’s professed skittishness, Luka couldn’t help but grin. It was honestly quite amusing to him to see someone be so quickly put off by the revelation of his tail. Or maybe it was the fact that there happened to be a rather sizable cut on the side that definitely needed attention. It curled slowly back into a spiral, slowly extending once more in a swift motion as he allowed himself to stretch fully now that he was able to. Without much of a second thought, Luka was already set on mending the thing by himself, pulling out multiple items from his own bag as he began to clean the thing. For the most part, he always made sure to keep the thing hidden from plain sight, knowing as MOST humans, if not all, didn’t exactly happen to have a tail set upon their back. And if they did, they were typically turned into an inevitable laughing stock, or even worse. . . A freak of nature. Yet, Luka, who came from far beyond the reaches of this Earth, came from a place where the majority of people DID have tails. It was incredibly normal, so he was rather intrigued at first that humans themselves didn’t happen to have one. Not that the absence of one truly mattered to the Deliverer, as he had seen a multitude of different species and aliens that all differed in looks, sizes and being which had been nothing but eye opening for him. He was almost certain that just waving his tail in front of Koji was enough to make the other jump back in his skin, and probably reevaluate their own life. ❛ You are a total wimp. I would’ve kept it hidden longer, but this cut was REALLY starting to bother me !! ❜

Luka was grinning again as he stretched his hands up to the sky before he finished bandaging up his cut. Usually when other’s found out about this, they threatened to call some official on Luka, or simply wrote it all off as an elaborate costume. But it seemed like Koji was taking this rather quick to heart. ❛ It’s seriously not that bad !! If you wanna see something that’ll totally freak you out, wait till you see what I can do with my tongue !! ❜

A small hiss of pain leaves the hybrid as the fangs of the little wolf pup sink into his hand. “Look I know you don’t want my help, but you’re going to get it anyway.” Sisora says continuing to use his free hand to pluck the thorns out of the pup’s fur. He was well aware that he wasn’t exactly liked by most creatures, normal animals included, but that didn’t mean he was about to leave the poor thing in the state that it was. “If you need to keep biting my hand go ahead if it helps.” He assures as the pup was giving it’s best attempt at the most ferocious growl it could manage.

Eventually the last thorn was finally removed, so at that very second the pup released its hold upon Sisora’s hand darting away as fast as it’s little legs would take it. Dark blue eyes kept watch on the pup until it was out of sight just to make sure it didn't tumble into another thorn bush. Once he was sure it was safe his gaze then turned to his hand. Sure, the pup’s fangs may have been small but they were still sharp along with that it had been clamped down pretty hard too, enough so that a steady stream of blood was already sliding it’s way down onto the grass below.

   “I’m sorry, Yuugi,” the dancer suddenly said, eyes cast downwards. It was off-topic and probably came out of left field, but Anzu felt it was necessary for her to say; it was probably well deserved by that point anyways.

  “You’ve been forced into a lot of unfair situations because of me...” Lately all she could think about were the times that she had become a hostage -- all the times that her life had been put on the line in order to get him to fight; had it not been for her, he would never have been forced into those situations. 

   Sure, those monsters could have tried to pick on Jou or Honda, but the former had been able to break free of being Malik’s mind slave of his own will, and the latter had singlehandedly taken out a group of Ghouls in order to find out where his friends were. Anzu, on the other hand? Malik had remained in control of her, even if he was only waiting -- she still had no idea how she’d ended up on the plank on that roof, and those criminals that had held guns to her head or knocked her out? 

   She hardly stood a chance against them.

   Anzu idly played with the straw in her drink, still looking away from her best friend.
