Mt. Rainier is looking stunning from my flight into Seattle. We are such small creatures.

I got a new phone today for free!!! I love that. This is the first picture that I took with it!!! You can see Mt. Rainier from City Beach, today, because it's sooooooo clear outside!! It's 166 miles away, and we don't get to see it very much so this is very exciting to me!!! 🌋🥳🎉🎊😁😍 Mt. Rainier is my second favorite active volcano, in the Pacific Ring of Fire 🌋 🔥 Mt. Baker is my favorite one!! I love the Cascade Mountains!!!❤️❤️❤️

Mt. Rainier and the northern end of the blast zone, Mt. St. Helens, 1992.
Some of the denuded slopes are the product of clear cut logging and not a consequence of the eruption per se. Much of the area devastated by St. Helens was in private control, and all too soon after the blast "rescue"or "salvage" logging began, removing timber blown down and other trees which could be brought to market.
