It’s Microsoft Hackathon 2019 where hackers from around the world assemble at the Microsoft Campus #MSFTGarage and use their collective super powers to ideate, inspire, and create innovative products and services that are able to make a positive impact and a lasting change in societies and communities around the world. 

As a first time participant, I am truly honored to be able to take part on-site at the event to assist real-life superheroes to bring their amazing ideas and dreams to life. The moment I step into the venue, I am fully immersed in the spirit of the hackathon as participants are provided with all of the tools that they need to start tackling some of the world’s most challenging issues. 

I loved the amazing energy and spirit in the event as everyone is fully committed to hacking non-stop for three days while battling jet lag, emails, and a lack of sleep.

As the event draws to a close, I am happy to play a small part in the movement towards positive change. I valued the opportunity to work closely with an amazing team of creative innovators over three days to turn an idea into a prototype and an actionable plan to tackle a real world challenge.

I learnt so much during the journey with my team and I would like to say a big thank to my fellow hackers for sticking with me.
