(Just posting my drawings again to keep them here.)
If you want peace, prepare for war…
They really should have left his dog alone.Â
Looking forward to seeing John Wick 4 in the cinema very soon! Â Â
The lovely Keanu, painted in digital oils and pastels on procreate. As always, click on the image for better quality 💜
So, I watched John wick 4 (spoilers)
And i liked it, but at the very same time, the first half of the movie just felt stretched.
The action was super good though.
What I wanna talk about is, the ending.
Does he actually die?
When they showed us that he died, I was still like, nope, cannot happen.
Closure is great, but the whole point of him fighting was to get his freedom back.
And he got it, and then he died.
It was amazing in one way, one can even say He died a free man, away from the burdens of the table.
Another interpretation that I can think of is, he most probably went underground, on paper he's dead, yet he's not, because if he was alive and everyone knew, the table having given their word would somehow still not leave him alone, also the innumerable number of people who would get an amazing reputation by killing him, so someone will always keep on pursuing him
So maybe he's dead on paper.
But then again, a part of me feels like it'll be okay if he died there, free from everything, remembering his wife, watching the sunset.
Because I don't want to see him go back to nothing, living a peaceful life, yes. But going back to nothing, and the mind works in such a way, that at some point he would realise the number of people he has killed, the blood, the deaths, it haunts you somehow.
So in some way, I'd be okay to perceive the end where he dies, he wins, he remembers her, and he is peaceful while alive, even if for some few moments.
I was still sad though. I didnot like the sight of him dying.
.
Another thing about the movie. I don't know why, but some scenes seemed illogical. Wick fought much, MUCH dangerous people and killed them, yet when it came to the man who killed his uncle, he struggled. That was not like him. And again the bodyguard, the one who threw him away from the stairs. Even there he struggled. A slight part of me also felt like the dialogue delivery could have been better. I LOVE KEANU reeves. But i still felt like it could've been some better.
Overall, the movie was great, except the first half, it was sad, the action scenes were absolutely amazing. They make the movie come alive. I also loved the color themes, the portrayal of colors of red blue and green. Also how the movie contained similar bits from previous parts. They were similar yet not, so it felt like some Easter eggs thingy.
Over all, I will always love John wick. He is the best person in combat and the eyes, so kind. So so kind. Make him a killer, but the kindness within him cannot be hidden.
Imagine John Wick Being Protective of You.
A/N: I went to go see John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum yesterday after work and I must say how amazing it was. Keanu has been a long standing crush of mine so as soon as I watched the first John Wick I was hooked. So wanting to write something with him was a must for me.
Music played softly in the background as you held John's calloused hand. He gave your hand a slight squeeze of pressure before a small smile came to his lips. You were used to seeing him in a suit but he was quite dashing this evening, his long hair brushing his shoulders, trimmed beard, and clothing free of blood stains. Your heart was soaring. When he invited you to a party at the Continental hotel how could you possibly say no? A night of dancing, relaxing, and John was too good to pass up.
As the night went on some guests had visited the bar one too many times, leaving intoxicated jerks swarming any unattached women. John had left to get refreshments leaving you at the table, you and him decided to occupy for the evening. You were humming to the orchestra's tune when a hand touched your bare shoulder.
"Good evening," one of the party's drunks slurred letting his hand wander. "I hate seeing such a pretty woman alone at a party. Care to dance?"
Before his hand could go any further you grabbed his wrist before squeezing as hard as you could. Joints popped before he was ripped from your grasp and slammed onto the floor.
"I'll ask nicely, once, that you do not touch her," John stood over him seething prepared to kill if necessary.
You stood from the chair touching John's arm to calm him. "You misunderstood mister. I am most certainly not alone this evening and if you value your life I suggest you go on home and sober up." The drunk nodded frantically before bolting for the door. John brought you to his side looking you over.
"Are you alright," he asked his deep brown eyes full of concern.
"Yes I'm alright. You made it just in time."
John leaned down kissing your lips gently. "I'll kill him next time," he growled.
Smiling you pecked his cheek, "Now I don't doubt that Mr. Wick." You both laughed before continuing your evening together.
