One of my favorite background moments: in 2.04 Eleanor walks into the room, flint stands up, and Mr degroot gets this little "oh wait, is that what you're supposed to do?" look on his face and immediately stands up to. Its adorable
I have many thoughts on the episode, but I’d like to give a special shout-out to Mr De Groot.
De Groot was the ship’s master, and as such always primarily concerned with keeping the Walrus intact and in sailing condition. And just as Eleanor died when Nassau was razed to the ground, De Groot drowned with the ship he had a closer relationship with than anyone else.
