gemini wasn’t normally ever the type to get himself involves in such situations that might result in an injury; well, scratch that ― at least not with him personally. the last time he had dealt with a serious injury was as far as 3 years prior, when he’d been physically attacked by a patient that resulted in a weeks notice of break. still, even then the concept of breaking a bone to gemini was a foreign one ― that is, until he had been on his daily walk and been pushed off a small concrete ledge by a quite rude jogger. he would’ve yelled at them if he hadn’t been laying on the sidewalk below, nursing the flaming pain of a clearly snapped radius. gemini never was one to be squeamish when it came to these sorts of things, especially since he’d seen the worst of the worst; and being who he was, he had made the genius decision to deal with it back at home instead of bounding off to the hospital (and awaiting embarrassment from his coworkers no less).
but thank god for nieces, right?
the whole concept of the divine family tree and the fact that brenna, quite near to his age at that, had him of all people as an uncle (and libra as well, though he didn’t know if either of them could be a better choice) was something gemini needed to get adjusted to very quickly ― in the back of his mind, however, he was silently grateful for such a bloodline when she approached, nearly about to hide away in his apartment when her voice rings in his ears and he finds himself whisked the opposite away.
“ ah-ah brenna it’s- “ gemini winces as he’s pulled towards the car, slipping inside even with his protests. “ i’ll be okay i can just... “ what could he do? the realization that he doesn’t have any plaster at home dawns on the son of dagda and he purses his lips ― now would be the time to be silently grateful, especially when he had little say in the manner. “ thanks.. “
