For the ray of sunshine @mpsundrop
Trees have always been something that felt genuine even if he could not really know. Huachang found that the forest was always a place he could go to feel solitude and happiness, where long ago he could be the child he felt he was supposed to be. Giggling happily, carefree and loud. Nowhere else but in the trees could the light of the child he wished to be could be set free. Though that child and those feelings were long torn from him Huachang still found sanctuary around trees, sitting in them or under them just to pretend he was back in those days. It was peaceful, so much so he would often fall asleep.
That is what happened today. Sitting under a rather beautiful tree Huachang leaned against it's large trunk petting his white rabbit that sat happily in his lap. White robes lay gracefully about his form and slowly the elegant hand slipping over Xue's soft fur started to flow, then eventually it stopped. Sleeping was hard for Huachang due to his past, waking up in other places with dangers all around or pain at the ready. Sleep was scary, it showed images of things that hurt him so deeply that it broke his soul so completely. But he was not a creature that could avoid sleep... Eventually it would come for him.
The memories were slow to start but they did, nothing about his past gentle or kind. The nanny had tried her best but damaged was damaged and his dreams liked to remind him. In his head Huachang was battling with the traumas of his past and outside his body twitched and whined, tears welling in his eyes at the images he couldn't run from. Xue immediately showed concerns, reaching up to press her cute twitching nose to his and padding her paws against his chest in her own attempts to wake him.
But she was to small, too light.
Thumping gently she stared for a while knowing she could help by herself, looking around for anyone that could. Her feet landed on the soft grass and she hopped for a long while, speaking to anyone that walked by to try and get them to follow or help but no one acknowledged her outside of trying to pet her. Her efforts were running dry, the pads of her feet thumping in frustration that no one was helping until she heard someone ask her to repeat what she needed. Looking up at the person there was hope in her red eyes.
"My human is asleep, he is having bad dreams and I can't wake him up. He will panic if I can't wake him up please help me."
