I've started unpacking some of my boxes, focusing mainly on the kitchen.
Bought a set of 24 spice jars and they fit in the built-in spice rack perfectly. I kept some of my old Robertsons spices boxed up in the move, so I started moving them over to the new jars and adding the labels (they have labels on the lids too!)
And then also unpacked some stuff in the bathroom (though most of my toiletries are still at my parents' place)
The ceramic shells and the glass cup on the basin are things I had in my old apartment (the shells in the kitchen and the cup filled with stationery stuff), and I'm glad they work with the colour of the bathroom because I've been looking for dark green trinket trays and whatnot for months and have had no luck. I haven't been able to find a dark green glass soap dispenser (at least, not one outside of Amazon, where they're like R1000 for some goddawful reason), so I bought a cheap plastic black soap dispenser, and I'll just use that until green becomes popular again. At which point I'll probably move this soap dispenser to the kitchen.
I got these baskets from Mr. Price that fit the front door nook perfectly:
And brought my bench over from my parents' place:
I put it here so I've got a spot to sit in the sun this winter, but in spring I might move it under one of the trees.
I also finally got curtains for the office, so next time I go to the house I might start unpacking my bookshelf!
