Moving abroad has always been a dream of mine. I knew from a young age that I was never meant to stay in my hometown for long nor this country. So as soon as I graduate high school, I took two years off to heal from all the stress and trauma from high school and started applying for colleges. I knew I wanted a fresh start and far far far away from the chaos of my family and hometown. Iâve saved up a lot in the course of my two years off so this decision was definitely the right one to make
Iâm well traveled, Iâve been to many countries and cities. Most of them because of Harry, my personal and close friend Harry Styles. Going to his shows has always brought life into me and for two hours I could be the crazy fan girl everyone called me.
Initially far away was moving to a different state, but as I lacked a few scholarly exams I had no choice but to apply to Italy, Rome specifically. As my departure date arrived, I packed, donated, gifted so many old things I owned and deep cleaned my room. Iâd be starting fresh anew and couldnât allow myself to bring old news into my new life.
âY/N the taxiâs here in five, are you ready?â My friend Eric asked from the bottom stairs.
âJust a second!â I replied back from the bathroom as I pulled my hair into a bun. It was an 8 hour flight time and we would be traveling at night, so best believe Iâll be sleeping all through the flight. Eric is a British trust fund baby, whose parents have a hell lot of properties and was kind enough to rent one of his Italian apartments to me. I didnât have the time to look for apartments so when he offered I immediately accepted. I donât really know his parents and he barely talks about them but from what I can see they are very elite and wealthy. I skipped down the stairs, Eric assembled my three luggageâs and carry one together and opened the front door where the taxi man was opening the back trunk.
âIâm so excited, canât wait for whatâs to come. I can finally put my Italian to practiceâ I beamed.
â Girl donât even-â he said lifting his right hand âbut Iâll be supporting you regardlessâ he chuckled.
â Sorry miss but the flight is overbooked there are no more seats availableâ said the lady at the check-in desk.
âWhat do you mean? We booked these tickets two months ago, I even paid for the extra luggageâs what are you talking about. Let me speak to the manager of the companyâ I demanded. Everything was going smoothly and now the odds decide to be against me? Hell no
âUnfortunately we canât provide this service here on the check-in , youâll have to go straight ahead on that sign and solve your issues there with my colleagues â she said and gave me a tight lipped smile. Luckily we were five hours early for an 11 pm flight so I sighed and made my way to the airline counter.
âYes indeed all seats are booked, from what I see here was that when you bought your seats someone had bought them already and I guess the system didnât updateâ the desk guy affirmed.
âIs there anything you can do because, itâs not our fault and we need to be in Rome by tomorrow morning.â Eric pleaded.
âMmmm unfortunately no-â he said as he shook his head sidewaysâ thereâs a flight to Rome right now but itâs too late, check-inâs closed, and theyâre boarding.â
âWhat about if we upgrade. Surely there are vacant seats.â Eric suggested.
âLet me checkâŠyes indeed 3C and 3D window seat are available. Upgrading it would be around one thousand dollars eachâ
âWhat? Oh my god Eric I donât have that kind of money to spend. Maybe you do but not meâ I honestly said
âListen to me, either you go talk to your head supervisor and get us this upgrade for free or I make one phone call and your career is done.â Eric threatened.
âAm I supposed to feel scared of two young adults traveling in economy?â The guy who looked like our age range sarcastically said holding a laugh.
âOh donât try meâ Eric asserted, grabbed his phone, went on the phone app, called his dad and sat up from his chair. A few minutes later he came back and confidently sat back on his chair, no words shared. Then out of no where an older guy, probably in his late 60s came and called the desk guy.
âOkay maybe itâs possible to get you guys the upgrade. Let me print your ticketsâ the guy said as he sat back down all shy.
âGuess traveling in economy has its perks, huh?â Eric smirked, locking eyes with the guy who was to embarrassed to even look at us for one second.
âThank you-â I said accentuating on the âThankâ, and looking at his name tag then back at him âJohnâ. Turned around, grabbed my bags and went back to the check-in. The who initially took us was smiling but then her smiled disappeared as she realized that we were going to the business line instead. Once our bags checked, we went through TSA, immigration and finally sat our butts on the lounge. Why has no one ever told me how powerful flying in business was? So many benefits. As we were savouring our food, a question pops up in my head.
â youâre literally rich. Why do you fly economy? Shit if i were you, Iâd be flying private no joke.â I admit.
â Something about my parents wanting me to know the real world, and how itâs not a bed of roses or whatever. But it does come with its perks, like meeting people like you. Most people and friends in my circle are only friends because of our parents or out of interested. You havenât ever left me second guess the realness of our friendship and-â
â and what makes you think Iâm not using you? Maybe Iâm a real actress and you donât knowâ I cut through his speech and lightly push his shoulder in a teasing way.
âGirl please and whenever Iâm with you I can be Eric, and not Eric Miller or Edward Millerâs son.â He admitted in annoyance.
â WAIT!!?!!?â I gasped, half of the lounge looking at me. âYouâre Edward Millerâs son, aka the owner of MillerStone private equity with over $5 trillion in AUM, share holder of five airlines and of Sony Music?!?! AND the hottest dilf of them dilf!?!!?â I whispered screamed holding his arm
âYou sure did your homeworkâs and eww donât say that about my dadâ he looked at me in disgust.
After what felt like a blink of an eye have landed in Rome Fiumicino Airport. I slept all through the flight so maybe thatâs why. I didnât really think much of my university until I got my acceptance letter and realize that itâs Rome, aka Harryâs second house, aka where Harry spends a lot of time. What are the chances I meet him?? Obviously, Iâm not a stalker nor planning on being one. It was pure coincidence, or maybe the universe joining us together. And thatâs why my friends, everything works out in my favor. The cold of February had given us a warm welcome, and maybe not having all of my exam was for a reason that I have yet to uncover.
âCiao uhhmmm dovâe eehhhh possiamo penderere un taxi per favore?â I asked the lady on the information desk. (Hi where can we get a taxi)
âPotete prendere i taxi, nel parcheggio. CâĂš un cartello con tutti i nomi dei automobili. Avete altre domande?â The lady politely explained.
âHhum scusa no uhhh sorry I didnât understandâ I embarrassedly replied.
â oh sorry, yes so if you exit youâll be faced with the parking lot and over there you will find a sign will the names of automobile vehicles such as taxis, autobuses, and moreâ her thick Italian accent coming out.
It was still very early in the morning, February 1st also known as Harry Stylesâ birthday, the sky was a mix of dark and light blue and Romans were far from waking up. The taxi drops us in front of my apartment building, he was kind enough to help us with the luggage.
âIâll be back at 10:50 so that we can go shopping and buy whatever you need for the apartment and later tonight I got invited to a birthday dinner, alright? Now go and restâ Eric said kissing my forehead and leaving me by my self in what will be my home for the next three years.
At around 10:15am, I wake up, do my routine and as the clock hit 10:50 my bell rings. Must be Eric, I thought. We start walking and familiarizing ourselves with the unknown Roman streets. We go to various home stores, buy kitchen wear, new beddings, towels and decorative furnitures. We quickly dropped everything back home and left to have lunch as our stomachs were achingly growling. I opted for a Pizza Margherita and Eric risotto.
âI canât believe Harry lives here, heâs probably in London right now. Last time we got pictures of him he was there. I wonder what heâs doing today on his birthday. I would do anything and everything to spend it with himâ I huffed looking at my pizza whose cheese is still boiling.
âMmm about tonightâs dinner, do you have anything to wear?â Eric asked as he licks his lips.
âYeah, I think Iâll wear that red long sleeve dress I wore for my birthday. Itâs cold anywayâ I replied taking a large slice of pizza into my mouth.
âBro with that dress youâll charm the boy with your sexinessâ he smirked.
âHmm so itâs a he huh? Is he rich? I bet so I mean youâre invited. At least Iâll secure a trust fund for my future kidsâ I tease.
âlol, I heard heâs 32.â
âAnd? As if that would stop me from anything?â I scoffed.
We paid for lunch, shopped a bit more and went back to my apartment to rest as food coma had tired us out.
The dinner started at 19:50 and by 19:40 we left my apartment and headed to the restaurant. As we got there we were first met with a huge floor to ceiling door, everything was so elegant and chic. For a split second I felt out of place as I was not used to this environment. My dress huge my curves perfectly and accentuate my full G cups.
âAh there he is, the birthday boyâ I heard Eric say but I was too focused on the decoration to notice who we was talking to.
âThis is Y/n sheâs just moved here for universityâ Eric introduced me to mystery person, and once I shifted my attention to whoever he was talking to I lock eyes with the one and only,
He wore black high waisted pants, a white shirt and a big red bow in the center of his chest. He was so handsome, and the cross earring was the cherry on top. People that have met him and said that he looks so more attractive in real life didnât lie.
I panicked, everything inside of me was going 10000mph, I was feeling all types of emotions in such short amount of time. I didnât know whether I would faint, cry or start running.
How dare Eric not tell me that the party was Harryâs birthday party knowing that I literally talk about him all the time and still did earlier today. I donât know if I should be mad at him or not, maybe not. If he had told me I wouldâve panicked and given out last minute.
âHi nice to meet you, Iâm Harryâ his thick British accent making itself known.
âHi y/n, Ericâs friendsâ I replied, we shake hands his eyes never leaving mines and trying to keep my tone as calm as possible but perhaps miserably failing at doing so. I wonder if noticed.
âMake yourselves at home, dinner will start soon and thank you so much for coming.â Harry pats Ericâs should and leaves to talk to other guests.
âEric what the fuck! Youâre such a bad friend for not telling me weâd come to his birthday party. I literally mentioned it todayâ I whispered.
âI know you Y/n, if I had you wouldnât even be standing here either with all the timidness you posses.â He
âFairâ I say crossing my arms and analyzing the room once again.
âCome on there are a couple of people I want you to meet then weâll find our seats.â He said grabbing my arm.
As dinner began, everyone started eating, reminiscing beautiful moments with Harry, laughing, and I couldnât stop thinking about what my life has just been for the past 24 hours. First the quite literal free business class upgrade, finding out that my friend is rich RICH, officially moved to Italy, and Iâm spending my all time celebrity crushâs birthday with him?!?! My 10 year old self is making laps around the house.
âY/nâ I hear someone call out for me but Iâm to in my thoughts to look at who it was.
âY/nâ they repeat once again, I focus back look to my right thinking Eric called me but he was talking to someone. Then look to my left and my eyes me Harryâs green orbs. Butterflies immediately erupt in my belly at how close my face is to his.
Eeehhh thank you so much for reading my first ever story!! This is a two part story, what do you think will happen in the second part? đ
