The summit of Jukkoku Pass has all of the typical attractions of any other tourist spot (gift shop, restaurants, panoramic views, etc.). However, unlike many other locations, the summit is very dog-friendly. In addition to wide, open grassy areas, there are two dog runs available for free.
Looking south from the summit, you can be inspired by the geological remnants of undersea volcanoes that were pushed up above the ocean waters creating an island that eventually buttressed with the main island creating the Izu Peninsula. In 2018, UNESCO awarded the Global Geopark designation to Izu Peninsula for its rarity of numerous geological features that created the sculptured skyline of the Eastern Izu Peninsula.
