Today I made a spine of dragon spikes using rolled up pieces of acetate as the base. I then used canvas and cornstarch mixture to make the form more solid. Once the canvas was fully coated with the cornstarch mixture, I then placed the canvas on the spikes and moulded it to look like the dragon spikes. I then placed the spikes into the drying cupboard next door to the plaster room. I'm excited to see how this will turn out!

I went to the casting studio and made a plastic mould out of the timber. My original thought was to try and bake something in it to go with my theme masculine vs feminine. But the plastic mould wouldn't be able to with stand the heat. And the moulds broke, but I like the shape of them and 5he details that show
Phew that’s a lot of goodies made! It was a frigid 6C in the workshop/garage this afternoon and I’m now so cold and so stiff, but it was worth it. Can’t wait to finish this lot off once they’re cured. Got a lot of other thingies to finish as well… *whimpers*
Spend most of this morning clearing old junk from the garage and taking it to the local household recycling centre too, so things are feeling a little calmer. I can now use the freestanding heavy bag and the old weights set, so… that’s good?
