Then Hugo comes along. Hes also really good at motocross but unlike Varian who kind of stumbled into this career. Hugo trains hard and is very passionate.

During a competition their both in, Varian like never takes off his helmet. Like ever. I forgot to mention it in Varian’s little paragraph but like he never takes his helmet off usually. Maybe it’s to be mysterious maybe it’s bc he forgot to take it off who knows. But Hugo is very intrigued by this guy who never takes his helmet off and rarely speaks and is super good at the sport.

Hugo also becomes jealous of course. Hes good at the sport but Varian is somehow even better than him and it drives him nuts. Especially since he can never see this guys face so it feels like a ghost fucking haunting him and messing with him. He is so pissed omg

On the flip side Varian barely pays attention to Hugo. At least not at the start. He isn’t exactly passionate about motocross like the others, so hes very focused on just getting competitions done. But then he sees Hugo crash out and like takes a step back to think “woah ppl actually like this sport and love it enough to get angry”. He then finds himself accidentally observing Hugo at competitions. Eventually one day he walks over to Hugo, take off his helmet for the first time ever (its so humid in there why hasn’t he taken it off??) and is like “hi im varian! :D” and Hugo is just like standing there. Bc wym this guy hes been mad at for like 2 months is a really cute innocent guy who’s inexplicably amazing at motocross.

Then they like fall in love and hold hands and shit.
