(The theory going around some years ago of the cali gang (+El) having stayed at a motel, on their journey back to Hawkins, because of some bts pictures )

Sure the rooms looks different, but idk what else it can be but the motel set (set they’ve never used). Maybe it was just the actors staying there between scenes, sure, or maybe is them having prerecorded scenes that weren’t even gonna appear in s4, but maybe we’ll see them in s5 (or at least, they’ll share it eventually as scenes they decided not to use). It’s not the only time they’ve done this, I mean, WHY is Noah at the rink with his van outfit? And WHY is his body double there too, wearing a different outfit? There was no reason. Unless…

What trips me is the different outfit. We have never seen that shirt before. (It’s horrible, btw. It’s so ugly, Will, you can do better).

I guess maybe the motel left them some clothes? Well, they used the shirts Will had in his backpack to soak up the agent’s blood (I think). Maybe he was able to clean them there and finally change clothes? Idk, I think he stayed in those musty clothes until the last ep, but we can hope.

I think it looks more like the s5 undershirt, no? The s4 one is fully grey, the s5 one looks like beige

I’m not saying it could be Will remembering motelgate/having a vision and being forced to remember motelgate while wearing that outfit (although it doesn’t look like the style of his s5 outfits. Unless he’s wearing it specifically for the vision, like the shirt is so grey and devoid of colour… idk), but I’m not not saying that.

When he opens his eyes up again, he doesn’t know what to expect. Maybe something cold, uncomfortable—an expression that reads I can see right through you. It’s nothing like that.

A glassy look befalls his handsome features, contorting them into something fragile, vulnerable. Secretly, Mike has always been considered his ‘knight in shining armor.’ The tears rimming his eyes do not take away from the bravery Will has known ever since that day on the playground. They add to it.

Only problem? Will has no idea why Mike is crying.
