What amazes me about Toby Fox and how he writes Susie, is that she is not just well written, but that she is the goat and the best not because she is some invincible Mary Sue or something like that. He doesn’t need to make her correct or perfect, or too good to be true, for her to be the most heartwarming character ever.
She is not really even awesomely cool, she says dumb stuff all the time, she has issue reading and doing a lot of things, but she manages to be the goat just by being herself and by doing all this crazy stuff all the time. She has talent but no one has encouraged that… however she is not even great because of that, because she has this amazing talent and then will prove herself. She doesn’t need to prove anything for us, or anyone, she is the goat just for being who she is. When she is WHO she really is, I would say.
Like… she sees Kris’s room the way it is and not just freaks out or accepts it or gets annoyed by it, but she throws a star to put a price on the shelf, and she helps them to clean the bloodstain.
Like… a normal person would have tried Kris to keep playing the piano, recommend to go for contests or do more stuff at school and would say: you can do it!! But no…. Susie just said: you are my friend Kris the goat, and you already deserve a price for all I have see you do. Take your star. She will just throw the star to the wall in the most non-fashionable and least ordinary way but she will look cool doing it, and this will be the way for her to encourage her friend.
Then, she will see Ralsei alone and not taking care of himself in any way. Just doing stuff for others and will immediately go and look for a way to fix it. The room that she makes for Ralsei will be a complete utter mess… but it will be the first time someone does something for Ralsei and he will be so happy for it.
She is there to heal all their previous wounds. It’s just her personality and her way to see things and just changing them. She is a lot like Gerson if you think about it. Gerson clearly saw himself in Susie.
She is a character that just shows up and has a fierce love. People see a fierce beast and is afraid but when she is loved and comfortable she does fierce love, and it works, her rude and fierce self is based on love.
Dear ao3 writers you gotta stop putting contradicting tags in your works! You can’t hurt/comfort and hurt no comfort you gotta pick one! You can’t have both! I’m scared to read it now cuz I don’t know what to expect!

Theres a difference between "oh I hate this media and I dont support it" and "this thing happened in media and its fucked up and should've been properly discussed and/or warned about."
