Tutorial/Installation Replies

@rockethorse- I am planning on writing up a tutorial for how I got it to install.  I’m hoping it will be posted this week.

@horusmenhosetix- @mortia & @cindysimblr already had TS2 installed on their Linux machines... Mortia using Ubuntu & Cindy using Mint, so I harassed them incessantly for information and advice.  I also used this information that @cindysimblr​ posted to her Tumblr.  I joined the TS2 Community Discord server and got some advice from OSAB (I used their install file), but the most valuable help I got was from Tannis Root at the Lutris Discord server.  (Please note that Tannis Root is currently affected by the mobilisation of Russian citizens and may not be in a position to help at the moment).  I spent months researching how to get TS2 running on Linux, but the above people were invaluable.  I will look at getting a tutorial for installation written up and posted this week.  I’m also happy to answer questions, but my Ubuntu knowledge is very limited.

OMG no worries, my friend! I just ran to AO3 and read it and it's AMAZING!!! I absolutely adored it and it's got everything I hoped for! Haruki deserves to get some revenge now and again and it was fantastic to getting to read Akihiko getting his comeuppance! At first I thought you all must be joking, but then I realized that you’re not and I’m now in shock (; ಠㅂಠ) nipple isn’t a bad word at all, but the thought of calling that thing “bröstvårta” in Swedish is making my internal organs cringe, haha! (I hate the sound of that word, no hate to actual nipples at all, they cool). I’ll stop rambling now, lol :-D

I’m glad you all seem to like it! :-D I changed pineapple mesh (since it looked a bit too realistic for my taste) and added a pear + two oranges to the bowl. I'll probably share it tomorrow since it’s all done! :-D

On a serious note, I had installed the base game and all EP’s from my original disc.  When he looked through the computer files, he said heaps of stuff was missing.  He didn’t elaborate actually what was missing.  In the end, he downloaded double deluxe and all EP’s/SP’s from somewhere *cough*PirateBay*cough*, but did use my disc codes to actually install the games.  He found an install guide somewhere, and then worked his magic.

I was a bit worried when I got the laptop home, as he hadn’t applied any of the graphic tweaks.  I ran the 4GB patch, put in my old Graphic Rules file, threw in my old neighborhoods and 17GB of CC and crossed my fingers.  Game loaded in just over 7 minutes and no pink flashing in sight.
