We all know I have a real soft spot for Morphe cosmetics eyeshadow palettes because they are always reasonably priced and the formula is insane! They are honestly some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have had the pleasure of using. I tend to browse their site from time to time because they are always updating their sale section.

On the day I browsed their site they had a promotion were you got an additional 40% off sale items using a code on their website (I'm guessing they really wanted to get rid of old stock). For a total bargain of £9.00 (and £3.99 delivery) I manage to get my hands on a total dream palette for anyone who loves warm tones as much as I do. Everyone meet the Morphe 3502 Second Nature eyeshadow palette. As I said before this palette features a collection of oranges, brown and red tones in a matte formula, recently I've been wearing a lot of matte shades so this palette has been getting a lot of love. Matte shades from Morphe are amazing because they are so pigmented and easy to blend. With this palette I can do pretty much any look from a soft matte look to a deep smokey look.

This palette should of £24.00 so the fact that after various discounts I got it for £9.00 is just insane because of the colour story I would of happily paid full price for it in all honesty. I was browsing the Morphe website because I haven’t bought a palette from them since Maddie collab so I wanted to have a browse and see whats new. Browisng through the website I found the cutest 9 pan palette that has the perfect colour story for me. 

I love pink palettes but I hate when it’s just random pinks thrown together, I like a palette with deeper shades included so you can do more smokey deeper looks if you want to. It’s time to meet one of Morphes new spring releases the 9V VINTAGE ROSE ARTISTRY PALETTE , £12.00. If you love dusty rose tones this palette is the dream colour story for you. I have always been a fan of Morphe eye shadows because their formula is so pigmented and easy to use and I think I forget that time to time. So obviously I got palette and fell instantly in love! In this palette you get a mixture of matte and shimmer tones.

Lets chat about the individual colours. Starting with the top row we have Thats Classic which is a matte cream shade, perfect base colour and also for highlighting your brow bone. Next up we have Blossom which is a  matte dusty mauve, perfect colour to throw in your crease. Lastly we have Flourish which is a  shimmering icy pink, this shade is perfect for highlighting and I would throw it in my inner corner with every look.

In the second row we start off with Perf in Pink which is a matte peony pink with sparkle and arguably the most coral toned pink in the palette. Next up we have Retro Whoa, this is a  shimmering golden mauve and honestly one of the shades that sold me the palette. Lastly we have Rose Bold, a matte dusty rose shade thats one of the deeper pinks in the palette. 

In the last row we start off with Legend Has It which is shimmering rosy bronze, I love this glitter shade and is the perfect deep warm toned glitter if you want to do a deeper makeup look using the palette. Next up we have Petal Play, this is a matte rosy taupe and such a pretty matte shade. And lastly we have Forget Me Not which is a matte rich cocoa. This shade is the deepest in the palette is perfect to basically deepen any eye look.

I adore this palette because while it is a dusty rose themed palette it has a lot of variety so you really can do a lot of makeup looks from a subtle pink look to a deep warm toned brown look. I genuinely love this palette and it’s made me wanna check out more new Morphe palettes. They have a really pretty purple palette I’m tempted to check out so who knows! But seriously amazing pigment and quality for £12.00 and this is why I find it weird that companies sell like individual eyeshadows for like £11-15 when you can get a palette like this for £12, it’s nuts really.

The unexpected collab ....

Just over a month ago Morphe announced their newest collaboration with Maddie Ziegler which was a mixture of eyes, lips and glow products. If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know I love using Morphe palettes because their pigment is crazy, they always have unique colour stories and I like seeing what their collab palettes look like. Now I will be the first to admit that except for Dance Moms and Sia music videos I don’t know a lot of Maddie Z but when I saw this palette on release day I loved the colour story she picked.

The palette was £24.00 though I paid £21.60 with a 10% discount code. So let’s chat details each shade is named after something personal for Maddie (since I don’t know her very well I don’t have a lot of context for the names but if you’re a fan I’m sure you’ll figure them out) and this palette is the first collab palette that actually has the person on the front of the palette or her eyes at least which looks gorgeous. In terms of colour story there’s a clear layout which I really liking. The top 2 rows are the natural everyday colours, the 3rd row is the pops of colour shades and the last row is is cool toned colours. Personally I like when people have a clear layout like this because then straight away I can see so many looks I want to do.

Now in my experience Morphe palettes are very pigmented but when I saw the pastel and glitter shades in this palette I was like worried if the colours would be as good as I hoped. Luckily the pastel shades are the most pigmented pastels I’ve ever used hands down! The pigment is crazy and barely has any fallout which is just amazing!!! The glitters are of course perfection just like other Morphe palettes and the mattes are really strong colours again with little fall out. Looking at the colours straight away you can see so many eye looks and what I love the most about this palette is half the palette are nude / warm toned neutral colour looks and then the other half the palette is brighter colours which I think if great especially for someone who doesn’t use a lot of bright colours but wants to experiment still.
