I looked out this morning and the sun was gone Turned on some music to start my day I lost myself in a familiar song I closed my eyes and I slipped away

Boston - More Than A Feeling | High-Quality Audio
One of these things is not like the otherā¦. On the left, you have a 1978 picture disc of Bostonās classic self-titled debut albumāa record so ubiquitous in its time that if you grew up listening to rock radio then, you knew every song on it purely from aural osmosis. But that little picture disc next to itā¦what the hell? I actually had to research that oneāit is the last-gasp indie single of mid-90s shock rock/techno act Foreskin 500, covering Bostonās āMore Than A Feeling.ā Iām always a sucker for a novelty record and it doesnāt get more novelty-ish than this, which is why I picked up for $3 last week. My inner 12-year-old loves a good parody, and on the back is a great send-up of the essay on the back of Bostonās album. Humor where the A side is āMore Than A Feelingā and the B side is called āLess Than A Feeling?ā Iām there. As you might have already guessed, the look of this disc is the only good part, as the tracks are meh covers that donāt bring anything interesting to the table. It turns out Foreskin 500 was signed to a major label for one album before getting dropped, which figuresābands with names like that are never built to last. Apparently they were sort of a poor manās My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, if you remember them (and count yourself lucky if you donāt). Still, itās hard to fault folks for trying to make a living; one member went on to a career directing cartoons for Adult Swim, which makes sense as this recordās visual aspects are the only parts that work.
