CHARACTER OVERVIEW: IRISPAW

Name: Irispaw

Appearance: A small tortoiseshell molly with several cream patches on her fur. She has brilliant violet eyes, and small-ish paws that aren’t used to battle.

Personality: The daughter of a former kitty-pet, Irispaw wants to make her Clan (and her mother) proud by being the perfect cat. To do this, she hides her true self away, her silliness and curiousness replaced by something else, something that isn’t her. She’s near constantly daydreaming, coming up with all sorts of ideas and stories in her mind.

Trivia: She doesn’t have a ‘true’ mentor, due to her indecision on whether to become a warrior or a medicine cat. She trains alongside Hornetpaw and Mistpaw, but also spends time helping Dapplebird make medicine and sort herbs.

In relation to that last post, the Clans do see No-tails (humans) every so often! ShallowsClan sees No-tails fishing in the ocean and every so often a fishing net or something that fell overboard will wash up on the shore. The nets are usually cleared away but sometimes they’ll be used as bedding if they don’t pose a danger to anyone.

BrinkClan sometimes sees No-tails herding their sheep along with their barkers (dogs), and will steer far away from them. They see No-tails on stampers (horses) too, which they think is a very funny sight.

MorassClan sees the least amount of No-tails, with their swampy territory but sometimes they’ll be a No-tail hiking through the forest or foraging for mushrooms/berries. It’s actually good stalking practice for their apprentices, with mentors sending their apprentices out to follow the No-tail without being seen.

how do each of the clans respond to halfclan cats? what about loners? kittypets?

The general consensus among the Clans is that halfclan cats should be accepted regardless of heritage! Cross-clan relationships aren't outright against the code, but aren't encouraged either. BrinkClan is definitely the most welcoming towards halfclan cats, along with rogues and loners!

As the Clans live fairly far away from any No-tail (What they call humans) dens they don't see many kittypets, but every so often they'll meet an abandoned kittypet or one who ran away (such as Hayflower of MorassClan). If the kittypet or loner wishes to join the Clans then they're allowed to join, but if not they're allowed to stay in the territory for a bit and hunt before moving on.

CLAN OVERVIEW: MORASSCLAN

Led by Thicketstar, MorassClan finds home in a small swamp surrounded by old, gnarled trees. Quiet and mysterious, MorassClan prefers to keep to themselves. They dislike bloodshed and wish to maintain peace amongst the Clans. Stoicism is an admired trait, believing the Clan comes before personal wants.

MorassClan’s territory is the smallest, but it’s able to support the entirety of the Clan, with prey being abundant in the swamp and in the dryer edges of their territory. Their camp is located on a dry patch of land in the middle of the swamp, with dens being made out of fallen logs and in the knotholes and roots of the trees that surround the camp.

MorassClanners range in both fur length and colour, though darker coat colours are more common than lighter ones. What makes them different however, are their excellent tree climbing abilities. Their naming conventions are based on birds, insects, plants, and weather.
