I haven’t posted anything in a very long time (10 years) because well life got in the way and honestly the last election really took be by surprise. Growing up in my family we debated politics over card games and there were definite differences of opinions. However, when folks walked away from the card table which was our dining room table the discussion stopped, no hard feelings and everyone was cool. So, when the election came, I was excited to have some good ole debates and discussions. Instead, people turned ugly and mean spirited. I had friends ask if I was going to block them or unfollow them because our viewpoints were different. I said heck no. I might learn something from you. It doesn’t mean I will agree with you however, I will hear you out. If you get too preachie, I might ignore you for a bit, but it doesn’t mean I don’t accept who you are. Currently, the way things are going I am getting kinda concerned. I mean if anyone has seen or read “The Handmaid’s Tale “ then we might just be heading in that direction and that kinda way of life isn’t what so many people worked so hard to make America the place of opportunity and acceptance. So maybe if people try harder to be nicer to the person on the street or on the internet or on the phone maybe people might try to be more understanding. I don’t know I am just a person who loves to take photos, do some jewelry making, paint and take care of my family. #DoctorWho saved my relationship with my kid when they were in their teens. It continues to bond us now that they are grown. Different fandoms (I could name a dozen) give us so much. Mine was CaptainJack or Doctor Who in 2014 it’s changed in 10 years now. I have so many other choices and interests that move me, here are some clouds I saw recently.
