Am I the only one thinking casca hasn't connected the moon light boy is her child yet. She somehow figured the boy and the demon child are same. But current casca's memories are muddled and have gaps. I don't think she remember giving birth yet. It happened after she lost her mind. As Elaine she instantly attached to the child and was maternal. She sense his presence whenever he's near in the form of demon child, moon light boy or even in Griffith. But current casca has only clear memories upto eclipse and foggy memories as Elaine. There is a disconnect. Figuring out that she gave birth and why he's not with them, what actually happened to the child to become this way is gonna be her biggest task. Since the child and the eclipse were the core memories hidden in her dreamscape chapters. These are the most challenging things for her to process. Once she figured it out and in full consciousness realize her child is sharing a body with her rapist, she's gonna be shattered.
"Kentarō Miura: I'm also filled with emotion. However, Casca's real problem has started from now on... She herself should analyze, understand and solve what happened to her. She should confront what Griffith or the monsters did"
Figuring out the tragic and horrifying situation of her child going to be one of the biggest problems awaiting her.
Moonlight Boy is named Rook in my head because those are a type of corvid and Casca is portrayed as a raven.
an injured guts alone and dying after being chased by gambino's men, finding solace in the full moonlight then fends off wolves / guts in the berserker armor with all its wolf imagery and motifs being pulled out of being totally consumed by it with moonlight boy's help
took a break from boarding pages tonight ... Madonna and Child ! WIP

Kingdom hearts & Berserk the moon looms over all
Even though I stopped reading berserk after the golden age, it feels like a story where it needs 1000 chapters. Like it’s been decades and it feels like from what I gathered, it’s not even 30% done. Griffith’s too powerful and there is just no way to beat him right now. He has too many powerful allies and powers.
Even if Berserk never went on hiatus for as long as it has been, I don’t even think the story would be 2/3 done yet.
I guess berserk is like the odyssey/one piece/naruto of story pacing and needs multiple arcs.
Defeating Griffith is unironically like finding the one piece or chasing Sasuke.
How I imagined the story moving forward after golden age with what has been spoiled to me, is that Guts needs to somehow either weaken or destroy the god hand one by one, ALONG with the new band of the falcon team and other miscellaneous antagonists that appear in the story.
I don’t know the order of god hand but Void and Femto would be the last few standing and a few people from the new band of the falcon, for Griffith to actually be on Guts’ level.
They also somehow find a way to separate Griffith from Moonlight boy without killing either. I always imagined the final better between Guts and Griffith to be in their “human” forms. So I guess Femto would be destroyed first but Griffith would still exist in the physical world.
There’s also some theory I heard where Guts gives up on his revenge too which would be interesting.
Anyway, let me know if you agree or not. It’s not like I read the other arcs. Only been spoiled about a few things. All I know is that Guts is still in a worse state everytime I check up on him. Almost like there hasn’t been any real progress against Griffith, more so power ups for Guts which is good but I don’t think it’s enough.

My new little passion project! Gen, Berserk, Casca-centric long-fic in two parts. It's a post-canon related drama in which Casca is raised to ceremonial positions in Falconia but endures persistent memory loss. Summary:
She was a phoenix taken to the brink of death, but denied her sacred pyre. A phoenix gutted for her flame. And what manner of wretched bird remains, if not a raven dyed red?
Casca wakes from her endless night, unable to remember how the world reformed. Griffith is King. And, presumably, it is Lord Griffith who orders that her dreams be confiscated.
