first of all. it/its.
dude came into existence the moment the protag entered. this thing probably has no memory of who it was, what it is, and what it's supposed to be doing. all it knows is that the protag has a soul, and it wants it
i always saw karamari as being under the influence of the ghost cow (who i nickname angus) so the bodybag's raising is an extension of that
also because it's practically a branch from the ghost cow, it has all of the mindfuckery and reality bending measures that angus has
> during the chase, protag's soul is taken from their body (hence the REAL infinite stamina!! take that spooky!!!) and if caught, the bodybag can take it for itself
minor sentience and conscience. thought here and there. nothing too advanced given it has no memories or soul attached to it
but hey!! that conscience is free from angus so it has its own opinions now.
given the isolated location of the morgue it probably doesn't have much contact with the others. if it DID though, then rex would totally eat it. it probably wouldn't do anything about it though.. no self to preserve! lets the protagonist slash at it wildly without a care in the world if they want to
