supernatural au. established relationship. fluff.
Eyes burn while you type away an essay for your report. You work as an assistant for a company, a fashion one since you clearly can’t just stay in retail and act like working there would be nice.
Living in a world where things aren’t as normal as people think.
There are humans, ghouls, and hybrids.
You’re just a human, a plain female human who apparently is dating a siren who’s well known to the world thanks to his family and his voice that brings people to be drawn to him.
Most girls would be drawn to his looks.
He was the one who was drawn to you instead of you being drawn to him.
But enough about how you were up at twelve in the morning typing down the report. Jaafar had walked into the shared bedroom. His eyes glistened from the lamplight.
“Have you eaten?” He asked, his voice soft and alluring whilst you just hummed.
“Uh yeah, I ate.”
“Ate what?” He probed, now sitting on the other side of the bed.
“Pretzels.”
Your answer caused the male to stay silent, biting the inside of his cheek before taking the laptop from you.
“So you haven’t eaten a whole meal.. for the entire day?” Jaafar asked, his voice lower while he glanced at your face. Soaking in how you looked with red eyes.
“I mean yeah, but I’ll be fine baby, just—” you tried to reach for your laptop only to have Jaafar cup your face with a frown.
“Listen to my voice, take care of yourself.” His voice was soft. More soft than he ever spoke in as ringing rang through your ears as his voice kept replaying like a broken record.
Eyes dilated, you got up dazed with Jaafar by your side. He didn’t want to use his hypnosis on you. But he couldn’t let you not take care of yourself and die to overworking yourself dead.
He watched how you drank at least a good amount of water. As you drank, he made a quick meal while he kept his eyes on you.
He watched you eat, watched you take each bite before you looked up at him.
“I'm sorry, darling. But it was for your own good.” He says, cupping your face and kissing your head before you clocked back. Your pupils are now normal while you looked around confused.
“Wha—”
“It’s time for bed,” Jaafar said sternly, taking your hand, intertwining it as you both walked to the shared bedroom and lay down on the bed.
He watched as you glared at him.
“You used your hypnosis on me..” you said, watching how he smiled sheepishly.
“You haven’t taken care of yourself. I had to.”
You wanted to argue, you wanted to slap his arm and scold him for using his siren-like powers on you. But then again, you made him worry about you. You knew you’ve been dismissing dinner a lot, not eating enough meals, and stressing about projects. So you just sighed and rested your head against his chest.
“Whatever… goodnight, Jaafar.”
“Goodnight, sweet girl.”
