I think Li Yunxiang would treat Fem!Marcus a bit like how he treats Kasha: a little sister. Even after he finds out about her secret and her dad, he treats her as a little sister, maybe calling her 师妹 "martial younger sister". Assuming that Fem!Marcus was raised by Sun Wukong, she would be the one educating and protecting her "big brother 师兄" from being an idiot. Or she enables and cheers him on, even joining in his antics because CHAOS.

The fandom consensus, and from what I've seen, monkeys can be surprisingly egalitarian, and with how diverse the monkey population of Flower Fruit Mountain is, I don't think there are strict gender roles or expectations.

I think Sun Wukong's relationship with his kid doesn't matter or change based on their sex or gender. It would be the same as in this post.

I think Casssandra Cain being the Monkey Princess is interesting. I think Monkey Yaoguai were more egalitarian compared to humans, so his relationship with his kid wouldn't change depending on their sex or gender.

It's not actually based on a prompt or the movie but is a longer work that I have been wanting to dive into!

The premise is that Marcus wishes for a world without heroes/villains because he genuinely thinks that would solve all of his problems. His excitement about his wish coming true doesn't last long as he realizes just how much things have changed. His parents aren't together, the friends he's made have radically different lives, he himself doesn't seem to exist in any legal capacity. So he has to reckon with the consequences of his wish and figure out how to reverse it.

It will be an excuse to write out a lot of what ifs for certain characters, challenge Marcus' prevailing view on whether heroes are a good thing, and really dig into what he truly wants.

(For anyone who doesn't know the phrase "Monkey's Paw" refers to a wish that is granted in a disastrous or tragic way)
