My childhood dog Monita turns 10 this year, and on Friday, she lost her eyesight almost completely. Mom made it sound like she was dying, but I don't think she is. We went to go see her today just in case, and aside from being mostly blind, she's doing pretty great and was delighted to have us back for a few hours. It'd been a year since I saw her.

My siblings and I have a very rough relationship with our parents, but I'm very glad today's visit to go see them and the dogs went well. I'd been avoiding talking to my parents and was trying to ghost them entirely but... I couldn't ignore Monita. My girl oh my baby girl...

And their other dog is doing good too! Last year she lost movement in her hind legs almost completely and was in a doggy wheelchair, but she was up and running again, even if a little clumsily. Oh Buttercup my girl I missed you too!!

Oh yeah the cat Miko was there too
