Ace, Luffy, and Sabo fall under her care like in regular plot, but somehow their antics are amplified tenfold.

I can just see the boys collecting frogs by the creek and letting them loose during a sermon about the Plagues in Egypt (Exodus). Ace convinces the other two to sneak into the back and yoink some communion wine. They would run through the halls sword fighting with the brooms and mops they were supposed to use to clean the floors, tripping monks and nuns along the way. They get assigned to pulling weeds on the grounds and end up upending the entire garden. They sneak into the kitchen constantly. The brotherly sake ritual happens in the courtyard or the bell tower. They have to say a lot of Hail Mary's over the years.

Villagers climb up the mountain to the Abbey to tell Dadan about how the boys are misbehaving, but she turns them away and tells them that she knows how to care for her wards. In secret that night the boys find they have a couple of cookies in their room that weren't there before.

When Sabo "dies" Luffy cries not only to the sea but to God. He asks why He'd do that to his poor brother. When Ace finds him, he makes him swear he won't die, and afterwards Luffy prays that it'll stay true (It was the first time Luffy had prayed on his own). Luffy lights a candle for Sabo on his birthday.

When Ace sets sail, Dadan blesses him and sends him off with his bible from childhood and a necklace with charms for St. Christopher (Travelers), St. Dismas (Thieves), and St. Nicholas (Sailors/Thieves).

Ace's beaded necklace is actually made of rosary beads.
