My favorite Shoyru for Shoyru day(April 2nd); Cog. . . the owner of the Tog shop down in Moltara.
Or more specifically my interpretation of her younger--junk rummaging--self. Yes, yes, poor and/or resourceful gadgeteer trope but like, she's in the clothing/outfit industry!
The clothes are a mix of old pre-customization stuff Ellia sells/sold, and knitting kit results. The latter was inspired by how the 'Cogs Gear Cape' item states that Cog can hand sew so she isn't all machines.

While messing around in Dress to Impress a few days ago, I discovered that the wild kougra markings item plays really well with the magma paint color. After finding that I have a surprisingly lucky magma pool window, I got a new pet!
Togovo (she/he bigender) is a member of a colony of magma pets who left Moltara to settle on Kreludor. I haven't fully decided the reason why he looks partially spotty in-lore, but I'm amenable to ideas!
This story was wonderful. It's a nice heartfelt thing about friendships being not lesser than romantic relationships, with Tulah being worried that she had been left behind when her teammates are getting married and stuff.
Also Harlis Benne-Neyhbol sent me. He took his wife's name. That goes hard, honestly.
Harlis Benne-Neyhbol may have been one of the buffest Grarrls in Yooyuball, but the moment someone got him talking about his wife, the lightest breeze could knock over the lovestruck fool. The Moltara team had always known this about him, of course. Heâd been talking about his partner, Wila, nonstop since the moment he joined the team, but as he chatted about their honeymoon and shared dozens of almost identical photos of Wila in different places around Terror Mountain, Tulahâs patience grew thinner and thinner.
The molten Acara loved her teammates, but between this, whatever was going on between their two defenders, Zax and Vere, and Captain Alrdicâs affectionate stories about his husband Neeraj, Tulah couldnât take much more. She was incredibly happy for them allâheck, she was practically the one who introduced Aldric and Neerajâbut the lovey-dovey mush was getting to be too much.
She knew a lot of it probably stemmed from jealousy. Not of the romance stuffâthat sort of thing had never interested herâbut more of the old team dynamic. And it wasnât like sheâd ever tell the team that; they were allowed to find joy however theyâd like. But perhaps she could at least politely excuse herself from this onslaught of Puppyblew love.
As Harlis presented yet another photo of Wila in the Ice Caves, Tulah slammed her hands on the stone table.
âFor lavaâs sake, is this ever going to end?â
The photo slipped from Harlisâs hand, and Aldric shot his signature worried glare at her. She scoffed and stood up so fast her chair toppled over, then stormed out of the building. That went well.
Thankfully, Team Moltaraâs training centre was near a small exit to Neopiaâs surface, so that they could train on different terrains. Tulah climbed out and sat on the ground, letting the cool night air clear her mind. Just her and the constellations, shining from above.
She recalled the first time sheâd ever seen the night sky. Sheâd been in awe of the sheer number of stars. Though they burned so beautifully, theyâd also made Tulah feel small. Insignificant. She always hated feeling small.
Surprisingly, Aldric had been the one to convince her to sneak out from their molten home that night, and not the other way around. In those early days, life had felt so big, and her tight friendship with Aldric had been at the very core. The two of them, discovering Yooyuball. Forming the team. Forging friendships. It was all so⌠perfectly normal.
Her mind wandered back to that fateful first night outside. Aldric, ever the Kougra, was laughing and jumping all over the nearby boulders. But the longer Tulah stayed out in the open, the heavier she felt. Her head swirled, and her heart beat faster.
She remembered wanting to return home, but Aldric had looked so happy, and she didnât want to be the one that made them leave. So she fell deep into her own thoughts, until Aldric bounded over, asking something. At first, she didnât register any of his words⌠and then she realised how brightly she was burning, unknowingly competing with the stars. Her flames had caught onto the surrounding fauna, and the world around them quickly began to burn. Their attempts to put it out only worsened the fire. In her panic, she instinctively boltedâand ran headfirst into a Water Zafara. Neeraj.
Everything was bound to change after that. Even though Aldric and Neeraj had barely spoken a word to one another that night as they quelled the flamesâtoo young and shy to realise how perfect a pair they madeâsome years later, they would meet up again, fall in love, get married. Tulah usually enjoyed taking credit for their meetcute, but tonightâŚ
âYou okay?â It was Aldricâs voice, snapping her out of darker thoughts once again.
Tulah looked up, worried her flames mightâve leapt into a nearby bush, and relaxed when instead she saw Aldricâs outstretched hand. She batted it away as he sat beside her.
âIs Harlis still gushing over his beloved?â
âWhen is he not?â
This made her chuckle, just slightly.
âIâm sorry I snapped back there,â she said, not taking her eyes off the stars.
âStill as fiery as ever. Even with no tournament to train for. Itâs admirable, in a way.â
It had been the first time in a long time she wasnât fully honed in on practicing, trying to be the best she could be. Sheâd always been hot-tempered, but sheâd never taken it out on the team. It felt like she was burning again, unsure where to put all of her energy.
âIâI miss us. I miss playing together,â she said softly.
âI know,â said Aldric, matching her tone. âBut thereâs more to life than Yooyuball.â
âLike honeymoons to Terror Mountain or gardening with your husband?â she said with more bite to her voice than intended.
âHaha, no. I know thatâs not something you want.â He put an arm around her shoulder. âBut thereâs all sorts of things in this world to be passionate about.â
âIâm happy for you, really. I just feel like I used to be your best friend. And now...â
âHeyâyouâre still my best friend!â Aldric leaned back to better face her. âThings may be different now, but youâre a core part of my lifeâweâll always have each other.â
He paused, then: âIt sounds like I could do a better job showing that, though.â
âMaybe.â Tulah elbowed him, a smile creeping across her face. âYou do owe me big time, Aldy. Donât ever forget.â

A basic meatball recipe with an added pepper sauce plus melted cheese.
Ingredients
1 lb beef
1 lb pork
yellow onion (diced or purĂŠed)
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
fennel bulb (diced or purĂŠed)
1 TB tomato paste
2 tsp italian seasonings
1/4 c grated parmeasan
1 tsp+ red pepper flakes (I did 1/2 tsp for my husband. Would double that, personally)
1/2 bread crumbs
1 lemon
2 eggs
salt and pepper, to taste
6 to 8 orange sweet peppers (use a single habanero if you are a sadist. I did not)
1-2 tsp honey
small amount of cheddar or mozzarella, shredded
your choice of red sauce (I season cans of Muirâs tomato sauce)
Pasta (optional)
Steps:
Broil sweet peppers until skin blisters, then flip. About 5 minutes each side. Let cool.
In a large bowl, mix meats, eggs, seasonings, fennel, 3/4 of the onion, bread crumbs, lemon, parmesan, salt, pepper, chili flakes, and tomato paste.
Form into balls, and bake at 350*F for 45 minutes, depending on the size of your meatball.
Cook red sauce on low off to the side, and boil pasta if you want it.
Peel skin off of peppers, puree with left over onion, 1/2 tsp of salt, and honey. Cook in a small sauce pan. If the pepper sauce is too thick, add water.
In a shallow dish, place your meatballs, spoon with red sauce, dollop with orange pepper sauce, and top with a little cheese.
Broil until cheese melts.
Shitty Picture:
Sweet and spicy. If my husband had a higher tolerance to spics, Iâd red pepper flake this dish to hell. Essentially this was just a few extra steps on making meatballs, so I probably wouldnât make this again. The color wasnât spot on to the picture, but it is neon yellow so Iâm giving myself a break. Otherwise, I think I achieved an approximation of a âlava sauceâ look.
Now that Surzard and Arkmite are joining the final round, it's time for the next one to be revealed! This time, it's...
Moltaran Petpets!!! As you can see down below!
Now, I bet you've noticed something! There's some that aren't sold in the Petpetorium store! And you're right!
Tangor's Workshop, also located in scenic Moltara, ALSO has special Petpets that can be made here! And of course, there's the Petpets that HIS special ones combine into - however, I'm counting them under Cooking Pot Petpets so that I can have a bit of peace of mind. Still, let's go into this with some fun!!! Personally, I love Daloop, but Dal and Oop as separate entities... Well, they're still CUTE!!! See you tomorrow at 2 PM NST, as always!
