when: 23 August 1980 where: The Burrow; Ottery St. Catchpole who: Hollie + @missmollybwease
Living for days like these is how Hollie once existed, but sat inside the burrow’s family room now, surrounded completely by children’s giggles and honey lavender tea, she took every second of it for granted. She’d zoned in on the clock on the wall, zoning out on what Molly had been gabbing about. The warm drink no longer made Hollie feel whole, an empty and bottomless pit in her stomach. Satisfaction was nowhere within reach. The first real thing Hollie had felt all day was the sting of steaming tea scorching her exposed thigh as it poured over the rim.
“Oh, ouch, shit,” Hollie attempted to not make a scene of it all, laughing it off slightly as she rubbed at the burn. “Were you saying something about Fabian?”
