Aleksandra Zaryanova

When Zarya first sees you sitting on your own she is definitely baffled. You usually sit with so many people but these past few weeks she’s seen you on your own. It was a quick decision for her to sit beside you to eat her lunch before heading back to the gym to train some new recruits.

The two of you greet eachother and sit in silence as you both eat. Zarya, being the bold person she is, was quick to pop the question.

“Where are all the friends that usually sit with you?” she asked. You shrugged and gently poked at the jello on your tray.

“Wouldn’t know.” you said, “I probably scare them all off…” you blandly joked as you pushed away your tray. Boredom and anger boiled in your gut.

Zarya scoffed, “They wouldn’t be scared. They just don’t appreciate you.” she stated as she ate her vegetables, washing them down with water.

“How about you and I train the recruits together for today? I can say to the commander I needed an assistant. Then, we go watch a movie, yes?” Zarya asked you, with her big green eyes looking at you like a big puppy.

You smiled a little and nodded, to which Zarya laughed and patted your back. She wouldn’t ditch a good movie with a good new friend.

Sombra

Sombra sat in her small lunch table staring at a timer. She knew in exactly 25 seconds you would sit next to her. She had the camera footage for proof. Again.

She didn’t even need to look to know you were next to her. Sombra pushed over to your side a small switch. “You have exactly one minute to get revenge on those guys for ditching you... again.” she stated.

With a sigh you pressed the button and watched Sombra as she smirked. Fire alarms echoed from the room your ‘friends’ sat in.

“Why are you helping me with this every time? Aren’t I becoming some sort of burden?” you asked and Sombra shook her head, a gloved hand placed on your shoulder.

“Oh no, no. Actually, I enjoy helping you. I was hoping maybe we could be friends!” she said and squeezed your shoulder, pulling you to a side hug.

“Best friends.” she emphasised, “We can go out to the movies, ooh! or maybe even pull pranks on people-- No, no even better... We can pull pranks on Gabe! do you know Gabe?” she asked you as she pulled you off to walk.

You smiled as she rambled on. Maybe Sombra could definitely be your best friend.

Lena Oxton

You sat at the side of the theatre entrance, wiping your dripping nose as you looked at your two tickets. Your friend had ditched you once again.

“Aw rubbish. I can’t believe this...” you heard a voice, cockney accent perhaps. Looking up you saw a girl huffing as she turned tail. The tickets to the show had sold out.

You quickly stood up, “W-wait!” you called out and the girl turned, looking confused, perhaps curious. You rushed over to her and shakily spoke, “Uh, um, hi... I, uh, I got a spare ticket i-if you still want to see the movie?” you said.

The girl, awfully surprised, asked, “You sure? I don’t want to take a friend’s ticket...” you shook your head, “It’s fine, really. They uh, ditched me... For the hundredth time too.” you said, scratching your chin.

“Oh I’m sorry love. Well, snacks are on me then! My name’s Lena, pleasure meeting you.” she said and you replied with your name.

“y/n... Haven’t heard that name in awhile. Not many people name their kids y/n. Suits you!” Lena smiled at you as she stood in the snack line, waiting for her turn to be served.

“You a fan of The Hobbit Lena?” you asked as she passed you a popcorn bag and soda.

“Grew up with the book, Did you know the writer of the hobbit served in world war one? It must’ve been scary to fight back then.” she said as she walked with you.

After hours and hours of joking and giggling, the movie ended and the two of you walked out.

“Oi, y/n! Before I go, let me give you my number. Let’s keep in touch yeah?” she asked.
