I am not NB myself, but I am trans and I have had similar conversations with my fellow NB siblings about how they classify their own relationships. Ultimately, it is up to them on how they classify them, but most consider their relationships, due to the fact that they are NB, to be queer. A good example would be to look at the term NB lesbian, for example, which has become more and more prevalent.

Anyways, I am in no ways an Enkidu expert either, but GilKidu since its inception in The Epic of Gilgamesh has always held that queer relationship too, whether or not you believe that Enkidu in the Epic is gendered male or nonbinary (however most people I’ve spoken with tend towards seeing Enkidu as nonbinary.) Furthermore, the game, at least in its English localization, firmly lands on non-binary or agender, and Enkidu uses they/them pronouns.

I am ultimately no expert in either field, of Enkidu or of being NB, but I can pretty confidently say that Enkidu being NB does not mean that GilKidu is not yaoi or BL, as relationships with nonbinary people can be defined as queer.

So maybe Sophie had done a lot of miserable stuffs to both her friends and the entire SGE world, but from where I see it, I think Sophie’s just scared. I mean, when we were first introduced to her character Sophie had always dreamt of becoming a princess and pursue something bigger than a low, mediocre life in her home town Gavaldon. But when things didn’t work out for her, she panicked and tried so hard to change her fate, but instead it resists even more and brought Sophie back to square one. She’s just afraid that her friend, Agatha, would become a much greater person than she is, and being a selfish person, Sophie didn’t want to get left out. Hence, all her miserable deeds.

But you have to give credit to her tho. She might be rude, mean, and manipulative, but that is pure evil right there. While witches and other villains are sometimes too dumb and careless, Sophie is cunning and calculative, and that’s what makes her powerful, makes her great and different. To villains, Sophie is an inspiration. And the fact that she ended up alone and happy instead of alone and miserable (like some villains) proves that maybe finding your self worth is more important than a true love’s kiss.
